I’ve been finding the fish but it doesn’t seem to matter color size style of bait etc, I’ll get walleye to chase 5-20ft up but they race back down every time, I’ve caught plenty of walleye but this season theyve been kicking my ass haha, they either chase and don’t commit or mark for abit then disappear again

Location location location. To consistently get on numbers of walleyes, one must do exactly that: locate yourself at prime areas at the correct times and lure choice in winter is less important. Once you're on the x, aggressively feeding walleyes will eat most offerings. Last time I checked, no walleye ever keyed in on eating a chartreuse and pink lead jigging minnow. Location first then lure choice last in my book.

Find a local trapper. Ask him to make you "beaver bait". You take a beaver tail, and skin it out. And then you cut strips out of the tail, put em in glycerin to preserve em, and those things are MONEY for that "eye candy" bottom of a treble.
