The Expert Analysis didn't answer the question posed to him "what do you think would happen if he US stopped sending support to Ukraine", other than to say Putin is not crazy and would not invade Poland and extend his reach.. So basically, his answer was to agree with Putin that the war in Ukraine would end with Russia the victors of that war, but the major conflict and horrors of war finished. When you have someone who's clearly defected from KGB they are biased and probably holding a lot of resentment towards the government. There's reasons behind that resentment, and no doubt corruption in Russia, but the sad thing about this commentary is how it's trying to discredit anything useful coming out of the Putin interview... The world is not black and white.

    7:37 "Not confrontational whatsoever..."
This is such a 'mainstream' view of how an interview should be conducted.
A sort of Boy Scout interviewing standard that 'so-called' professional media,
in the West all feel they must fall inline behind.
They say... your job 'as a Western journalist' is to berate and antagonise the interviewee.
It is to let them know... you're the spokesperson for the West's democratic way of life,
and how dare they not agree to the US's rules based order.
This kind of adversarial interview doesn't achieve anything at all.
You have to let the interviewee speak and from that... let the audience,
make up their own minds. That's what freedom is all about.
Most agenda led media... don't understand anything about freedom.
It's only their 'all-ro-nothing' idealism masking itself up as freedom.

It's moreso a question of relevancy to the interview and query, which a 30 minute history lesson would likely not fit. Having watched the interview, Putin could have easily cut the lecture in half to still get enough context for the point he was making. Tucker thinking it's absurd is completely logical, it's an interview and not a history lesson.
