There desperately needs to be none toxic programmes like this dedicated for men. It might help to quiet the destructive forces online like the Manosphere.
We have a huge amount of evidence proving the rise in injustice in the courts against men who suffer abuse, it ruins mens lives and our support for men in UK has found maladministration and malpractice in law at many levels responsible for not many men coming forwards and instead committing suicide. Of the known cases we have heard of and seen out of 100 men 8 commit suicide before getting the support necessary, with approximately 20/40 becoming homeless and becoming self abusive due to the mental health not being treated. Full whitepaper will be published August 28th 2024.
@@user-by5lj5fs4v it only seems not very common as men are far less likely to report being victims of any form of abuse because society will not take it seriously and twist it to make it the male victims fault or make the man feel like they are less of a man because "you got beat up by a girl". more people are likely to step in when they see a man verbally or physically abusing a woman but when they see the woman verbally or physically abusing a man people are far less likely to step in as it is seen is society as "he must have done something to deserve it" women are always taken more seriously than men. and saying something like "not a single man takes female victims seriously" is clearly a false statement as if that were the case there would be zero men arrested / charged / jailed for domestic violence which is clearly not the case.
I'm so glad people are starting to talk about this. It's about time women who behave disgracefully are held accountable and also for the Men who are victims of disgusting women to get the same support a female victim would get. 👏
@@ItsJessIzBezzIt took years for female domestic violence victims to be taken seriously and even now women are not believed if the man has alot power or is well liked
Refreshing to see that there are some women in the comment section expressing what seems like genuine empathy, usually they get upset when content points out the fact that they aren’t and never were the only people in the world with problems.
Take that back, literally took 2 seconds before I found one. The minute you hold women to standards they never fail to disappoint, can’t say I’m too surprised though.
I agree with this comment section- I think that Loose Men should be a show. My mother was an awful person, and I don’t really see a lot of conversation about domestic violence against men or in gay relationships
We really need to see more of Loose Men we are all human beings and this is only got to help in relationships in general. Good work Vernon good work. Vernon.
As a survivor of domestic abuse for 10 years I can sympathise with these guys! I was in a gay relationship for 10 years and the abuse started straight off the bat! Why didn’t I leave? God only knows, I just wanted to be loved I guess.. at any costs! I’m very happily single now!
I was in a domestic abuse relationship for 7 years and for me looking back it wasnt the violence or the name calling...it was the negative and suffocating atmosphere and the environment that really broke me down. The walking on egg shells and the isolation. The relationship ended 6 years ago now but the scars, void inside and my now lack of confidence, self worth and self esteem will always be with me like a internal dark cloud i cant shake off.
I agree, that there should be a permanent Loose Men programme. I’m also a survivor of domestic abuse, from my parent’s relationship and marriage of 4yrs, had a very difficult and painful divorce/custody/visitation, children act proceedings. Plus 22yrs of separation from a malignant narcissistic mother, whom I haven’t seen for 17+ years, no contact whatsoever. We are only now going through the financial settlement process, which she is also making it difficult and being deliberately tactful. One incident she threatened my father with a knife and abused him, which me and my brother witnessed. When the police arrived he was told to “be a man” this was late 90’s so very early-on before any real change happened with regards to the Acts and Regulations you have now within family law. Then again I’m within the opinion that not much has really changed since unfortunately.
I can relate to these men my son was in a 16 year relationship with his partner I only see some of it not all she was so abusive it bothered me but now they are apart he seems happier now he walked away as enough was enough she moved away this was 3years ago

A friend 30 years ago and a boxing champion would be abused by his wife. She would use physical and verbal abuse and threaten him that he would never see the kids. After 5 years he finally walked away.
it was a really interesting watch seeing men talk about abusive relationships they have been in and needs to be talked about more . these were charities and advice lines were really helpful to me having previously been in an emotionally and verbally abusive relationship where I experienced love bombing , cohesive control and gaslighting, but with family support and 4 years on I am more confident and happier in myself and more self belief in myself

Though it was dealt with in a comic way it really got the point across, that men also have the right to have their noes taken seriously, it's not something to joke about.
Thank you, loose women, for shedding light on this issue. All victims of DV deserve help and support regardless of gender. Maybe next, you could do one about LGBT victims.
This is such an important issue. It’s heartbreaking how many men stay silent about domestic violence because they’re not believed or feel they have no support. I’m helping a young father who’s fighting for custody of his two little ones, ages 3 and 2. His ex made it impossible for him to get legal aid by contacting every attorney and service in the area, creating 'conflicts of interest' so he couldn’t access help. Meanwhile, she has a history of abuse and felony charges. It’s so unfair, and the system needs to change. I can’t share his fundraising link here, but if anyone is interested in learning more, please reach out. We need to bring more awareness to this issue and support the men who are brave enough to fight back against abuse.
This is awful! What horrible evil women doing this to men who think they are loved... It's just awful. Men out there who recognise this, PLEASE reach out to anyone you can. I would travel the world to rescue my son, I can't imagine this feeling ever goes away.
You should show this to the loose women and teach them to treat men the same as they do women… evident in the reaction of the guy from baby reindeer. They said ‘he encouraged it’ when a man is the victim but made a sad video and campaign when a woman was the victim.. crazy the difference in reaction. No mention of the increase of male victims coming forward from baby reindeer either…
Richard himself said he indulged in it and egged it on a bit because he liked the attention. All you have to do is watch with an open mine and you’ll see that.
Both shows have validity, but in a day and age where 2 men are killing themselves every minute and suicide rates in men are 4 times higher than women, a show that supports men's issues is much needed. I just hope women don't laugh it off as unneeded. It is needed. We struggle too.
Its good that the domestic abuse on men is more being put out there now days, I was attacked lots of times by the mother of my children I did not defend myself due to being brought up in believing men should not attack woman so I just hide it away due to shame, sadly even when a man gets away from a domestic abuse relationship where a children are involved it is far to easy with the way the system and courts are that the domestic abuse still continues though mother blocking children of from contact with there dads, I am depressed most the time thinking of my children and have nightmares a lot even panic attacks at times due to this.
This sounds all well and good but it’s not just the part about speaking up - over 18 months ago my emotionally abusive ex wife was caught having an affair, and she then proceeded to play victim - accusing me of all sorts and fully got away with it. The reason? Not ONCE did the authorities hear me out. Not once. She drained my bank accounts, She left, cried wolf, disappeared with my son, and no one would tell me nothing until it was time to pay child support - and then spousal support. I spoke to the charities but unless I had thousands to hire a barrister and go to court, it was a “that’s how it works”
Supports are not enough for males mental health, divorce watch Pearl, basically not worth getting married as a man everything is pretty much against us, been abused physically, mentally and financially women are very calculating and know how to play the law.
It's quite sad to witness people being lumped together in different categories. Sadly, that's the world we live in. However, the irony is that we exist in a patriarchal society where men are saying the odds are against them while they're , at large, also the ones creating the laws and shaping our society. Unfortunately, there are still many countries in the world where women are yet to gain rights. Plenty of them are financially, emotionally, and physically dependent on their partners, many of whom treat them terribly and act entitled (as in the case of the ex-minister of Kazakhstan who murdered his wife and tried to destroy the evidence), so I would have to say the male disadvantage boils down to what society people are from and how the judicial system in each of those countries work, I suppose. However, in my opinion, there are only the abused. There's no denying that a long-term commitment is risky, regardless of what gender people in a commitment are. Always, always a risk.
I've got hundreds of videos of domestic abuse over 9years.went to my local police station and 5months on no one will do anything infact Humberside police said domestic abuse is not a crime
The American National Family Violence Survey analyzed the responses of 6,002 participants (2) and the results indicated that in the year prior to the survey at least 12.4% of women reported that they perpetuated violent acts toward their husbands, while only 11.6% of the husbands admitted engaging in physical aggression toward their wives. This has similarly been mirrored in severe violence investigations, where the self-reporting percentage of women who committed severe violent acts was 4.8% while for men it was 3.4%
These are Not weak men, TV hard man Steve McFadden (phil Mitchell) reported domestic violence, also the Caroline flack incident clearly not a joke. People take it serious when it's a Mason Greenwood situation on a woman though. Ether way you have to stand up to and fight against abuse.
