- Michelle Elman thought she’d met the man of her dreams and when he finally proposed after their three-year love affair, she couldn’t wait to share the news online. However, her world came crashing down the day after she posted about her engagement. One of her followers got in touch to reveal that she had an affair with him. Michelle tells her story and passes on the tools and resources that have helped her through this tough time.

Just be grateful you found out before you married.
Michelle has such a strong and resilient personality. She deserves the world and I'm heartbroken for her. She is such an angel and I hope she finds someone that loves her right.
Michelle Elman’s writings have made such a huge impact on my life. Really grateful to see her on TV and will continue to support and listen to her tremendous wisdom. Her speaking on this has helped me unpack my own experiences with infidelity (from parents to being cheated on myself). My heart goes out to her.
Go to a therapist, not a coach. Coaches are maninly charlatans that do a few hours training

I think most importantly, other than telling your family to get over the relationship, as soon as you find out someone’s cheated feelings you had for that person completely diminishes naturally! Without trust you can’t have a relationship, it’s the foundation and once that has broken the relationship will be unstable.
She is right when you protect the children,me and my ex did not talk about his cheating to the childre! Actually quite amicably for the sake of the kids, it’s been over 12 years since we broke up. Anyone who is going through it just know that you WILL be okay without that person! ❤
Before I met my now husband I was engaged for a year, he broke it off for no reason at all over 10 years ago.
It does change you but it makes you a stronger person. You deserve all the happiness in the world, it’s his loss x

Sounds like he wanted the limelight, your success made him feel unseen, this happening gives him attention and visibilit particularly your expose on live TV. Maybe he secretly wants the limelight or feels overshadowed by you.
😅 limelight how? The only reason she discovered the cheating is because she showed his face for the first time when she announced the engagement. He got no "limelight" from their relationship
My thoughts also , he probably felt overshadowed, hiding one's significant other wrecks havoc on the person supposedly being protected. I say lucky escape on this one .

The issue is that it's disrespectful and hurtful. Men & women cheat, and men & women are scared to be cheated. I have not heard of evidence that it really is in men's nature. And if it is in nature, that it's somehow just men's and not (some) human's predisposition to be explorative in general. Also, note that the reason people cheat is often because they feel insecure, want to do something forbidden, dissatisfaction, etc. We're simplifying the issue if we just put it down to 'men's nature'.
I could see the logic if that is really in 'men's nature', how he tried to conceal it, as just a fling that he played around with(though as stated in the video, he texted with the girl he cheated on even after) and not something serious, and that he still truly wants to be with the woman in this video. But it doesn't mean she will not be hurt by that, of course she will. Any guy in her place would too, unless it's something a couple agreed upon earlier. He could've told her, but he probably thought that she wont hurt if she doesn't know.
The guy is probably polyamorous(should've told her when he found out), or is putting band-aid solution on something he could've resolved with someone he must've said he love and respects. He's in the wrong for cheating, and that's the fact of the matter.
Maybe she does not want any germs from men who cheat or maybe she thinks she is special, ask her why?

It's because she works on the show, and is often on the show giving advice to people. As a life coach who works on the show, it makes a lot of sense to do a segment where she talks about her recent experiences and offers advice to people who are also going through heartbreak.

Also, the claims she kept him out of the spotlight for his protection is something a narcissist would say. Also, she keeps self-promoting by plugging her books. And going back to the point of keeping him out of the spotlight. What spotlight does she mean? She is not an A-lister. I didn't even know who she was or still know who she is.
@@joekerry741 maybe you could use the term narcissistic. Calling people narcs online without much evidence at all says more about the person calling another a narcissist which means to have a personality disorder.
Theres a huge difference between being highly narcissistic and being a narcissist and being disordered.
And whilst that may not seem important it absolutely is.
Dont get me wrong she may well be a narc but we don’t know her therefore it’s safer to assume they have narcissistic traits which we all have.
