I like Park models they're not only nice and reasonable but they come completely furnished have everything you need. You can live in them permanently or you can rent them out or whatever, they are a nice addition in life. Instant housing to take time doing whatever else you need to do. Really GORGEOUS floor plan. Actually you're doing what many Americans are now doing, BUYING LAND and then figuring the rest out as they go along. It's the most AFFORDABLE option and it's nice to have distant Neighbors. 😊
In Florida those have to be set Only in a Park model lot. Not on private property. You can’t even put a tiny home on private property, Unless it’s 650 square feet.
Probably because they have hurricanes each year and depending upon where you live in the state you are required to have special tie down systems that can include rods and what have you inserted/secured deep in the ground in order to hold the house in place and attached to concrete piers as well as having the house beings built using the same safety measures used in a stick built house so it can withstand the high wind speeds and pressure created during a hurricane. The same goes with houses built in areas where they commonly get tornadoes. As recent history has just shown areas in Florida that were hit by tornadoes. Yes it costs more to build them and most people who choose to live in the affected states know this and generally plan ahead and have safety measures in place. I it can be difficult or impossible to have a basement due to the type of rock underground and ground water that in the past has created underground tunnels and caves filled with water which have caused sink holes or the ground under a house or the ground to collapse. Because of all of that it makes sense for the state to have strict rules regulations on what you can and cannot do on your property.
We owned shipping containers and my advice is install a window and a man door because a snake can go inside the large doors real fast and and hide under things. We painted ours with white rubber paint to help with cooling it and moisture.
Wow guys, enjoy the journey. One suggestion.....why don't you put the shipping containers 10 or 12 feet apart and build a roof from one container edge to the other. They actually sell tent structures that attach to the shipping containers. That way you can park your tractors in the open space under to roof between the containers and not have to park them inside the shipping container itself. Good luck!
Just found y’all and subscribed. Love it, y’all look like me and I really appreciate you sharing your ups and downs with us. I’m excited to see the homestead you all build. Kudos!!! When you all get done with those containers you can turn them into tiny bed and breakfast relocated some where more remote so they can make money for you.
Your home and property is BEAUTIFUL! You were smart to get the smaller shipping containers, we had a 40 foot and it was a huge pain after we loaded it to access items in the back. Trust me when I say you are better off.
I can't tell you how much we enjoyed watching you get your home onto your property. Would you please tell me what county you are fortunate enough to get such beautiful land? Looking forward to following your journey. Wishing you both a fantastic day!
Love your home and property. I am ready to follow you kids and watch you build your homestead. The view is awesome from your living room window. God bless your journey!
Being away from conveniences too didn't help. I was 30 mins away from a smaller city which is where i did most of my shopping and some drs too. You have to consider this. When i first moved to the country. 30 mins wasn't hard. But we never know what tomorrow holds. And almost a yr after moving there, things changed. I got sick and daily things are a challenge. Not to mention the drive to and from the city. It became a issue. Hopefully things are good for you. For me though being 10 to 15 mins from the city is enough for me.
Hello, stumbled on your channel just now. Hubby and I start full time RVing in a few weeks and are very excited. As we travel, we will be looking at property and we want a tiny home with a barndaminium. We wish you nothing but the best!
We are in process of building a tiny house on son in laws land. Like building a regular sticks and brick construction. Especially permits and inspections. Our water will come from spring, so no future water bills. It is being built on side on mountain.
Good morning. What a beautiful couple, beautiful home and a beautiful view. New subscribers here and as someone else commented, subscribing to folks who look like me and whose journey to planting roots for their homestead, is so very refreshing to see. I grew up as an urban/city girl, then married and raised my family in the suburbs. In a few years looking to spend my soon to be retirement years in rural/country area. I’m looking forward to setting up my homestead now and go back and forth on the weekends until I retire. May God bless all of your righteous endeavors 🙏🏾🙏🏾🙏🏾. I look forward to following your channel and your homestead progress!!!
Thank you for the kind and inspiring words. We really appreciate the Sub and taking the time to watch! Thanks again for your support and keep us posted when you start your own Homestead!
Family! What a great video! Afro-American off-grid human here, and this was just the video I was looking for. I am considering purchasing a THOW but was unsure how I would ever get it down my driveway, which has a very tight turn! The road up my mountain also has stream! If it topples over, yikes! This give me hope! Awesome park model and great vid!
@conniebishop3966. I don’t think saying that makes me a racist. I follow lots of people who have started homesteading. Most don’t look like me. That’s why I’m so excited. I want to do this too and find this encouraging.
@conniebishop3966 don’t use words you don’t understand. There was nothing racist about stating you are glad someone who looks like you is living their dream. There are few videos about Black homesteaders.
@@FloridaProud7684 I knew it also. Someone just has to try the old divide card. I am white and enjoyed seeing this lovely couple get their new tiny home. pigmentation of skin has nothing to do with anything. looking forward to seeing more of their dream develop.

I didn't understood what life was until i lived in a 35 ft RV. It gets small very fast. Things that bothered me was not enough storage. No place for dog food which i put in a container. Next was bottled water, toliet paper, towels , sheets. I learned very fast what i need to live comfortably. I saw many design changes that would have made the RV better.

if you can place those two containers parallel to each other you can make a cover between them for a carport area. we had to do that to add more space to protect tractors and such from weather.
This is a really nice park model and not tacky. God bless I’m glad you like it. Just curious you don’t have to attach this to concrete.
Not at all
Congratulations 🎉🎊🎉🎊🎉🎊🎉. Love Rocky

Great house design - the windows are wonderful & what a view!
Thank you very much!
Beautiful home and view 😊
Thank you 😊
That’s a Beautiful tiny home… How awesome it must be to get it there. If you’re going solar, I would look at going with the new Anker Solix X1 system if you want a truly seamless/easy system to build out as well as upgrade over time. It’s basically plug and play and is incredibly intelligent/powerful. Anyways, Now the fun begins!
That's the plan! Leaning towards Bluetti at the moment …
It doesn't look like a tiny house at all. It's very very nice!👌🏽🙂
@yenicoronado5826 that's because it's not a tiny house. It's clearly a Park model home it says it in the title but misleading to call it tiny
Thank you! 😊
