Wow...those mice out there are a huge problem. I would really hate that, but I know it goes with the territory. Hopefully when you are living there full time that will take care of the problem. At least you will be there daily to check for more holes etc. Good luck with those nasty critters. I have to say though, they are cute little guys but cause so much destruction and probably carry disease.

The home builder should have sealed that all up, they should have known they had the delivery address, even the wire for the taillights hanging loose under there. Good thing that I only saw the frame tag because I would be phoning the builder up for some Constructive criticism. I get $200 travel time charges for trades work here. A lot of people that live close by would drop the tress for free if they could keep the wood. Put a sign at the road free wood you chop call the #, one more thing off the list. Man, I been bit by black widows so many times it aint funny...and scorpions, and twice by copperheads. Black widows dont like injecting you with poison because they save it for prey, most times you get just a lil bit and it burns like someone put a cigarette out on your skin. More active at night too. Poison doesn't really work on them because unlike most spiders they are slick and the poison doesn't stick on them, so the way to kill them is to physically do it or by spraying a poison that works on them directly on them....but the preventative stuff not so much, or at least I haven;t found anything that works. Scorpions are parts of the spider family and I've heard that diatomaceous earth has helped some folks with them and other insects. they basically crawl through it ant it slices them up lol.

We had mice that eventually grew to rats. Nothing worked. It was awful. My husband went to the local feed and seed and we bought a box of wafers. 10 days.... Gone! Good to do before you get cats, dogs. They have great ideas for stuffing holes. Good luck! You guys are delightful!!

You can use large pex to run the panel wires, just have to paint any sun exposed pex, not uv resistant. I have bad news I saw 1000ft of pv wire for $1200. That is a tiny mansion not a tiny home 😀. Your area only has 42% max cloud cover, you might not even need a generator. I am at 76% from Nov to March, more like 99% on my hill if you include fog.

Ya'll got this bro, you are making good progress. You know the thing about having sloped land is when you are standing on it level doesn't look level...lol I know its weird but its an optical illusion. When I built my garage I had to build up the back end more than 2ft and I thought maybe a foot. I would be curious to see if your home pad is level or has a slight slope towards the front. If that is the case it will be fine but if it's sloped towards the back you will have to fix it but you can do that easily with the tractor loader bucket. Sloped land aint no fun when you gotta build something lol im right there with ya. Hope you guys have a great year, I know you will get so much done, and as time moves on things will get quicker and progress will speed up.
