      Good luck to you as well! We will all be victorious in the end… but right now the mice are showing out. We plugged up some additional holes that we overlooked, so now we wait and see their next move🤣 Thanks for watching and commenting! Keep us posted on your battle!

    The new area seems like there is more hours of sun there. That should be a big plus and it seems more level than the other. You are doing fine in my opinion.....learning as you go. At least you are willing to try ...a lot wouldn't. That is how you become self-sufficient. You're getting there.

    Thanks for the shout out, you guys are awesome.
    I noticed ya'll got a digging bar, man that is gonna come in real handy around your place. I use the heck out of mine diggin holes and I don't have a bunch of rocks underground but when you run into one there's no better tool for leveraging them out.

    • @7sigmaoff-grid
      @7sigmaoff-grid  Месяц назад +2

      Yeah man…I’ve used the hell out of it. Would be cool if it had foot pedal near the bottom for leverage. The more outside projects I take on, the more embedded rocks I discover. Wish I paid more attention in Geology class …but no… too busy thinking I was going to be the second coming of Prince 🤣

      @@7sigmaoff-grid well theres pluses and minuses to all land. Just gotta figure out what you can use to your advantage and run with it. You picked a much better spot for your solar, I dont think you could ask for a better spot than where you have it now. Just be careful taking down those trees and make sure they dont end up on top of it and you will be fine.

    • @7sigmaoff-grid
      @7sigmaoff-grid  Месяц назад +2

      @@BillyBlaze7 Yeah man, that's what I'm learning about the land...choices and trade-off...just like life! That spot is going to have to work cause I ain't moving it again. But I agree, I think we'll be good in the spot. Now cutting down the trees...that's going to be the interesting part. Git a quote today from a tree service co. just for shit's and giggles ...$2500 to cut down 4 trees, down not include stump grinding, nor haul away. OH HELL NAW !!!! Will be buying the STHIL chain sharpener this week that you told me about a while back and have my firefighter neighbor babysit. Like you said , the best teacher is experience.

      @BillyBlaze7 Месяц назад +1

      @@7sigmaoff-grid Yeah man thats crazy. You got this, I know you can do it. Just watch some videos and you will be fine. Tree felling is an art, but you don't have to worry about taking out a house so thats good. You just want to know how to make it fall the direction you want and to cut it down so you don't get a preachers seat cut, which is dangerous. Just be ready to get away from the tree quickly when it starts to go. If you dont have any might want to get a couple felling wedges too, they are cheap and will keep your saw from binding. I look forward to you learning and felling your first tree. Maybe start with the smaller ones first and work up 🙂

      @@BillyBlaze7 oh you know I'll be starting on that smaller one for sure...LOL. Time to go back into my saved videos on YT and re-watch felling videos. Of course..here you go again..lol ..Felling Wedges on the shopping list ASAP. Thanks again brother!

    Great spot, every hour of sun is at least 4kw, max winter solar, the rest of the year is charged batteries by 10am. If you end up dropping dirt on the frames, check for misalignment as you go. Soon you get to start your electrical engineer home diploma. All the mice the cats kill around here have bot fly larva, thoroughly vile, spring comes the cats turn the yard into a massacre scene.

    • @7sigmaoff-grid
      @7sigmaoff-grid  Месяц назад +1

      Will do on checking for misalignment… thanks!!! Yeah the electrical part is going to be fun, as long as I don’t get electrocuted or burn the house down🤣
      Yeah once we’re here full time will get some barn or feral cats. Off to google what in the hell a Bot Fly is 🤣😂🤣
      Thanks Bob !!!!

  • @BillyBlaze7
    @BillyBlaze7 Месяц назад +2

    Hey thats good, this is what I been waiting to see. gettin 3 mice means you finally plugged all the holes and made them desperate enough to take the trap.
    Man, don't give anyone that says why don't you just hire someone any attention....those are people who never learn anything, people who are dependent on others always to live life.
    Doing for yourself is what we were designed to do, and the fact that people don't anymore is an indication why we are largely ignorant in this country.
    Even when you don't do a perfect job but still get the job done in a way that it is functional and durable, then you save money, learn a skill, have the mechanical knowledge of how what you built goes together, and have the pride in knowing you CAN do it yourself and do it again if you need to. That is a hell of a return on some sweat and aggravation.
    All the people that just open up their wallet when they need something are helpless if that option is removed. Isn't it funny how those are the same people that think we are the stupid uneducated ones.
    When you get to the trenching part, a suggestion would be to run a very straight line and mark both ends with something permanent and durable...it will help you should you ever have to dig anywhere in that area since you will know exactly where the cabling is.
    Ya'll did a great job, it looks great!
    Actually...lol you do need some knee pads, you know we ole fowks.
    I honestly don't use a tool belt, probably should but I'm the kind of guy that no matter what I put in it I end up needing what isn't in there lol when I do a project I always make a million trips and drag out at least half my tools doing it.

      I hope so… today I found the remaining gaping holes under the house near the drain pipe,propane inlet and some other plumbing hole I can’t identify🤣 finally got those plugged. Like you said, hopefully the remaining mice will come out and take the bait.
      PREACH my brother!!!! I was one of those folks who paid for everything but always felt like a chump doing it. Growing up, my father tried hard to get me to learn all the skills that I’m just now trying to learn… I was such a knucklehead …but hey… lesson learned and now playing catch up 🤣
      Great idea about the trenching!!!! I would have back filled and not even thought about it . Every week man… you drop more gems !!!! Appreciate you man!
