I bought this brace over a year ago with the plans to machine my own manual brake booster delete setup then found honed deveolpments manual brake conversion kit. I ended up making an extension and welding to the FM brace to make up for misalignment and 40mm relocation distance. With manual braking unbraced vs braced holy cow it is required!
I've been searching the net like crazy for one that will fit around my strut tower brace. I've got the cobalt 3 point brace thst connects to the firewall. I can't find a master cylinder brace that will fit my NB2.
There is no right hand drive version mostly because we live in the US and don't have access to a RHD version for development. There has not been enough of a demand for a brace to fit the larger booster, and fitment get's very tight, but we can possibly look into it.
If you are really picky about your pedal feel, you might appreciate it for street use, but it's really meant to help eliminate the firewall flex during HARD braking, such as auto-x and track use.
@@FlyinMiataVideo I regretfully had to return it. Great part though. Maybe someday you will design one for the NB enlarged brake booster. Mike is super smart by the way.
On my 04 It has a cross brace that I haven't seen on other Miatas but, it looks stock. That's why I decided to take a crack at building my own. Since I'm more comfortable with wood I made it out of some oak. Oak is very durable and I painted it flat black so you hardly notice it. I tried a couple of really hard stops and it does make a difference.
This brace will fit the NB with ABS, as long as you have the 3" brake master (will not fit any car with the 4"), and you can relocate or clear your washer bottle reservoir that sits over the manifold. Sorry we didn't have a sample pic to show you.
@@FusterIsBased That's the easiest way. In the video, the blue car with the brace has the 3" master, while the silver car without the brace has the 4". Side by side, it's very noticeable.
Thanks for the feedback. The length of the weekly videos are usually dictated by the number of questions we get before hand. If we get very few questions, it's usually a shorter video. If we get tons of feedback and questions, the video will naturally get longer as we try to answer all the questions from our social media channels. Feel free to skip around the video, or reach out to our customer support team directly via phone or email if there is specific info you need. Thanks!
@Flyin' Miata He's tripping man, you keep doing you. Most people don't appreciate the technical data, I on the other hand do prefer as much information as possible.

Most bang for the buck upgrade after a fluid flush, especially for track use.

One more neat thing I didn't know existed...
is there a way to brace or even a need to brace with a brake boost delete?
Will there be one for LHD NDs?
We haven't heard a big demand for that, but we have discussed it for a possible future product.
Why no right hand drive version and versions for NB Sport ABS with larger brake booster?

would you recommend for street use? or not really necessary

Mine didn't fit. 😔 02 NB. Stupid enlarged brake booster.
Sorry to hear that! Mike covers some common fitment issues in the video. Please reach out to our customer support team if we can be of any help!

@@merlyn2121 Agreed! I have had two 2002 NBs without ABS that could have benefitted from this part... IF it would work on the NON-ABS cars...

@@evanetheridge3798 We show both in the video for reference, but all you need is a ruler to find out!
What’s a BFH? 😂 hahahaha!
Is there a brace that fits the NB ABS system?

I love your info on miatas however i was thinking you can make smaller videos cuase I find my self skipping half of what you say.
