- Everything gonna be okay.
This was riveting, it kept us both on the edge of our seat, with the last five minutes being utterly heartbreaking. I was a little disappointed to find out the film twisted some very important facts, but the movie itself was incredible.

You'll probably get this comment a lot, but the medic at the end was played by an actual navy corpsman. The director just told her to treat Tom Hanks the same way she would have treated a wounded person in real life.
All true. And Hanks gave a spot on portrayal of someone in traumatic shock.
Fact: so spot on, that the medic actually started to get emotional during filming. To which Tom Hanks had to remind her that "he" was the one in trauma :p
The Nurse was incredible
The SEAL snipers firing three simultaneous shots from the deck of a boat into a tiny rescue boat bouncing around on the open ocean and hitting all three is insane!
The corpsman saying you're safe now. What an understatement! Your on an American destroyer surrounded by soldiers with guns. Their only mission is for you to be safe until you get back to America. Yeah, you're the safest man on earth. There would have to be an alien that comes down from space and tractor beams the entire ship up into space for you to be in danger.
I enjoyed your reaction. You may want to react to a 15 minute story called "The Rescue of Jessica Buchanon" from CBS 60 minutes. The same Navy seal team that carried out the Captain Phillips rescue also carried out this rescue. I hope to see your reaction.
