- For the first time ever the full main cast of Avatar: Last Airbender came together for an incredible, once in a lifetime reunion. Watch the cast answer questions, tell stories and have an unforgettable time in this OFFICIAL panel recording. Apparently a lot of Sokka's comedy came from the VA just being a funny guy himself

@@TuskyBaby could be wrong but from what I know I think they wanted to make Sokka more serious but jack was so funny they changed it and made him a more comedic character instead

@@liad0x Mako was the VA for Iroh. Unfortunately he suffered from cancer which he kept secret from many people. Mako died during season 2. The episode "Tales from Ba Sing Se" honored Mako's passing. Mako knew he was dying yet he still gave his all in that last of his episodes.
Nearly two decades later and Dante Basco still sounds exactly like Zuko.
and Jake Long the American Dragon, lmfao. dude's voice is amazing.
Let's not forget about him being in Hook with Robin Williams.

It's wild how Sokka's, Zuko's, and Azula's voice actors still sound the same. Like, obviously, the kids grew up, but even with adults, the voice changes over time, albeit to a lesser degree.
I think it’s bc they were some of the older VAs of the cast. Kataras VA was in her mid teens and Aang and Tophs were the same age as the characters

Mark is more expensive to get them all of them combined. Plus this is a small scale Con not a big one. Mark did his first Con in a long time, last year. I met him, his lines were crazy long!
Hamill is reliably good, but I’ve always found him to be miscast for Ozai (I’ve always had problems with Ozai in general)
Everyone completly skipped the part at 24:23 where Toph says "I felt that btw" about Sokka and Suki's funtime in the tent
The friendly Zutara dynamic is at least there in real life, love Mai just poking fun at Dante every one in a while, it's so nice. And love Mai's laugh at 42:18

It's kinda sad that Zach Eisen is the only one that can't do his Character's voice anymore. Kinda cool thought that they got a real kid to do the voice back in the day.
& as a kid he was phenomenal
That’s life. Now he can play Aang as an adult if we’re ever graced with another series.
You can kind of hear the little lisp well not lisp but it’s a certain rasp in his voice that’s still there even now.
@@joelmulder unfortunately not going to happen. From what I know, Eric Nam will voice the adult Aang for the upcoming animated movie coming January 2026 (pushed back from October 2025).
Respect to Greg Baldwin for saying "I do an impression".
His voice isn’t bad though, at all. At first I had to get used to it, but you just have to employ your own psychological adjustment and accept his voice as the new Uncle Iroh, and then it’s good and has its high points such as the tent scene.

No she’s a grown woman in front of an audience with her shoes off and feet up sit down correctly like the woman who played toughs character have some respect nobody wants to see your shoes off this isn’t your house do that at home. This is unacceptable behavior especially for her age

Michaela/Jessie and Zach (Toph and Aang) were barely teenagers when AtlA aired. They definitely have resurfaced in the last couple of years to engage fans online.
Mae Whitman: moved on to other roles after Katara and didn't really make a lot of rounds in AtlA fandom until only a couple of years ago.
Dante Basco: has been proud to play Zuko all along. Been very involved with the fandom since day 1!
Grey Delisle: Longtime voice actress who initially didn't really know about the popularity of AtlA (she never watched the show) but has definitely dived into the fandom. I think for a while she was surprised Azula was one of her most recognized roles in animation.
Grey has been in everything, I would be surprised too. She was also Raven in teen titans and many may many other amazing roles

They cast them that way and I'm so happy they did 😊
A few of the actors have said that the animators took visual inspiration based on how the actors delivered their lines so that makes sense!
Maybe it's because they litteraly VOICE the characters
@@andreg9086 the main commenter meant asking how the actors are perfect fits for the personality of the characters. Being cast for a character doesn't mean you automatically fit perfectly. What if Zuko's voice actor was cast to be Sokka instead? The sound wouldn't fit the character's personality.
I love how Grey Delisle is there in costume like "I thought we were going to DO THIS!"

I caught the pirate episode while babysitting as a young 14 yrd, found the box set a couple years later at my local rental store and binged the whole show. I made my boyfriend at the time (now husband) watch the show. And from there I have made my whole family and most of my friends watch this show. It’s amazing
i watched every episode as it aired on Nick, had the great experience of rewatching a lot of it with some cousins (18, 16, 14) during quarantine who had never seen it before.
Congratulations on the wedding, however late my congrats come.
I hope I’m not the only one who found myself involuntarily clapping along with the audience with some of these in-character moments

Getting this many cast members of any show together is unprecedented. Hamill is a very busy man, and while I'm sure he would have loved to be there, it just wouldn't be possible.

Hi I’m randie!! That was my voice during the first question!! This was one of the coolest experiences I’ve ever had at a convention, and I’m super happy that I was able to be apart of it. CCR Ontario is hands down, one of my favorite cons, and I already cannot wait for next year 💛

Mae Whitman literally was my childhood from ATLA to Tinkerbell and Grey because she would play Vicky in the fairly odd parents and Mandy in TGAOBAM I literally grew up with those voices and I admire them so much 🥹🤍

Just finished rewatching the entire series. It’s even better now as an adult. Avatar is one of the Greatest shows ever. The art, voice acting, story, effects, music, all is perfect.

Dang I should watch Avatar: The Last Airbender again. I only managed to finish watching the first twelve episodes and the final 4 episodes of Book One, too little for Book Two and only the second half of Book Three 😅😅😅

No promotion . I had no idea this was happening
They may not have wanted to advertise more than what they did. It was absolutely PACKED and the lines were very chaotic. Hundreds of people that were in line for this panel weren’t able to get in to see it because of how many people were there. It was insane.

I love the idea of them playing themselves as the cast of the Ember Island Players. Many fans talk about using certain actors (for Toph, especially), but I feel like this would be much better fanservice. I hope Netflix does this.

My favorite episode will always be Season 3 episode 5: The Beach, the episode is full of the purest form of Zuko's internal struggle and like Lo and Lee say, "The beach has a way of smoothing the roughest edges"
I liked that episode because I was crushing mad hard on Ty Lee back then. Guess we all love that episode in our own special way :)

I was somewhere around 40 when I first saw ATLA.
I loved it right away. It was funny, action-packed, full of character development, and really emotional. Kind of like Star Wars and Buffy the Vampire Slayer.
I’ve never watched a full cc panel until now but absolutely LOVED this. Amazing to see all of them together

I think that's why it connects people the way it does. It's also an interesting show; the writing, pacing - very good to watch during leisure and such times.

I used to watch it when it was airing in the early 2000s at my grandma's house. In 2010 I binged the whole series when I was home from school sick and was hallucinating from a fever. I rewatched it multiple times since and own the series on blu-ray
