I use this with my acoustic and it’s incredible. I’m also running the Dmc micro pro with midi for it and I’ll occasionally use the midi to freeze the decay to have a pad. It’s sweet!

Just got this pedal today, primarily for church.
Have put it with my fender marine layer for dual big ambient sounds
the Inception spot is crazy.
For some reason I love the jet pedal - Revelation V2.. tone itself is very good on this and cheap as well

I love my Cloudburst pedal and it's really versatile. A fun thing to mess around with is to set the Ensemble to forte, Mix 100, Decay 0, and you get a really cool synth sound.

I never thought about using it with acoustic. It sounds great though.
I hope to get Strymon soon. Been using Valhalla supermassive but that keeps me tied to PC. Hahah. Still awesome.
Just got my Cloudburst last Saturday. Used it in worship Sunday morning and it did everything I expected. The one thing I wish Strymon would have incorporated a trails switch. So tuning off the pedal wouldn't be so abrupt.
You can set it so you get trails. Page 9 of the manual shows how to do it.
I contacted Strymon they directed me to the manual and how to set the "spillover" as they call it. I highly recommend downloading the manual. A lot of other great settings if you deep dive into the presets. Thus far this an incredible pedal for worship ambience, especially for those who lead by themselves and need a nice pad underneath.
Great sounds. I use the Keeley Halo and octave up reverb for similar ambience.
Strymon pedals are the best.
It will be crazy cool to recreate this with the axe fx

I used to have a mcpherson sable. I ended up selling it because I kept going back to my seagull which sounded way better on stage for some reason.

I bought one for my HX Stomp XL. Would you recommend I use a DI or run it in the effects loop? I’m thinking DI for the extra block,since it takes away from the 8 blocks right?

Do you think it’s good enough to only have this one reverb pedal on your board? It sounds versatile enough.

Yeah there’s an acoustic pack by WT. I use a pod go and just ordered the cloudburst I’m gonna run my pod go into the cloudburst

You can get a similar type but not the same. Use the glitz or plateaux reverb. Plateaux is good for shimmer
So does a Big Sky do everything this pedal does, plus several other modes? Or does this one do some things the Big Sky doesn’t?

You can set it to have trails or just cut off.

This is amazing demo, and i bought it. I play nylon string guitars - Godin ACS-SA and Felipe Conde handmade flamenco guitar, i wanted to try this pedal because i love reverbs very much. And....i was disappointed. Ensemble mode create thick digital pad behind the guitar, and the more you turn the knob the more its digital nature goes in front. With nylon string it does not sound good for my taste, its just too much, and i sold it. For steel string acoustic and electric its probably good.

I'm not American but I've been to non-denominational churches in the US. The pedal is basically THE sound of those churches, all in one pedal.

I would like to be able to recreate the ensemble mode on a Line 6 Helix
There isn’t an effect that really does that from Line 6. You could recreate something like it with multiple effects blocks engaged together like a reverb, modulation, and probably a poly pitch block. But it would require a ton of DSP.

Hearing this next to the BlueSky V2, the blue sky sounds CRYSTAL CLEAR and hi fi. The cloudburts sounds like a Zoom CDR pedal. I own BigSky Ventris Space Golden Nightsky. Cloudburst sounds not good. I will probably be picking up a Blue Sky V2 next...

It's cool but... why not 2 foot switches? One just for the ensemble, or 2 presets. Not everyone wants to get all complicated with midi.
An intern at strymon made this pedal, not the real strymon engineers. So blame him. He futzed around one day in the software... then mocked up a behringer pedal he owns and put the strymon name on it. And fools who were sent the pdal are prentending like its good, instead of the lofi sound it has in a bad way.

@Worship Tutorials I would happily put velcro on the underside and smush it down on my pedal board. Next to my Boss GX100. Had to get that reference in there, he he.
Oh yes - some of us DO want to get at least a little complicated with MIDI. 300 presets! And stated, it covers a lot of ground. My only little issue is that I am trying to put it between my Wampler Terraform and the Synergy amp, and I thought an insert cable would work, but alas it does not - I misread the manual. I can use my switcher to select presets which is awesome but somehow need to split the midi easily so can channel switch with MIDI as well- the TRS cable terminates MIDI at the pedal. It could be as semple as a mini-headphone splitter but I haven't tried it yet. Love love love the pedal though. The implementation is amazing and I love the pre-delay control.

would be awesome if you did a tone match in Helix with Cloudburst :) like trying to get the ensemble sound to match as best as possible.

Us guitarists are surely a gullible lot: this is a big Nothing-Burger. These are merely reverb-laden keyboard beds, the likes of which have long been available on even the most primitive and cheesy machines of yore. Thanks for posting.
