I actually learned it's not the devil horns but "I love you" in sign language because of the extended thumb
Which is a great layered bit of character detail since those hand signs look so close

Tho it could still just be devil horns. Some people do it like this as a sort of variant, like Gene Simmons famously does.

if elphelt is a sign of the future of character design for strive i'm very happy. a great example of making a character that has a lot of options and is fun to improvise and explore with, even if she has less moves
That's true but I think if slayer gets in he's gonna be like Johnny, minimal redesign, their outfit is just a classic. I wanna see my girl dizzy tho all 4 of us dizzy fans are eager
and she feels so FUN to play. I've had mad character crisis since the game launched cuz everyone felt weird to play and all the dlc characters felt hard for me imo to play but Elphelt feels so natural.
I just want venom with baguettes and robo kys head :(

1:38, it's actually the i love you sign, which often gets mistaken for the devil horns/metal sign. I love it, because it's so in character
It's a cross culture thing. It IS devil horns from Rock/Metal, it IS ILY in sign-language, and in Japan that hand gesture is also used meaninglessly as a "cool" or "dark" pose. No real meaning, just "it's a cool pose".
There is another use of that exact hand gesture in Japan called "Rumic Sign" which is, "a stylistic choice to make what should be a painful scene look less painful and make it feel like the character who got hurt isn't as badly hurt as he should be" Obviously it isn't that one in her case.
It's the first three all at once, which matches her entirely, Metal (horns) + Idol and she's Elphelt (ILY) + "That" Girl (meaningless attention grabbing pose).
Wow Boss Faust is very interesting lol.

2. Mini faust now has 3 actions before it dies.
3. Air Dive kick reverted back to a multi hit like in Old Version of Accent core or EX faust i think?
4. Mix Mix has more vertical movement? MAYBE faster start up?
He might have more but these are all i noticed as a Faust Main
I think he also has better item rng given the general lack of healing items and sheer amount of meteors he got.

Her punch is a peace sign, her theme goes one to one with all I want for Christmas, and shes got the most intuitive rekka I’ve ever seen. That was the moment I realized I found my seconsary

The only thing I hate about her theme is that it has a chord progression that’s almost exactly like “All I Want For Christmas Is You” by Mariah Carey which triggers all sorts of holiday retail PTSD. I get Elphelt’s birthday is Christmas, but Daisuke couldn’t find ANY other Christmas song? 😂

I love Elphelt, sure, my favourite input ever (her shotgun loops, specifically the reloading) is gone but then again I don't play lever anymore either; it's fine. Guns 'n Roses was the first album I bought whilst BabyMetal is the most recent concert I've visited, she keeps being analogous to my playlist and I'm all for it! Also, they fixed the one qualm I had with her design, them huge knockers; like damn she's been eating well, thick thighs save lifes or something, right? She's the god damn virtue of lifesaving' herself in that case, and again, I'm all for it! 11/10, best girl reaffirmed.

I’m sitting here waiting for a big update that returns most characters moves. It’s a good sign they gave a couple new moves this update, here’s hoping for more! Some characters I loved in Xrd just don’t feel right with some of their kit missing (namely Leo, I’m talking about Leo)

My number one pick for this game and she's finally here. She's so incredibly fun with a lot of experimentation built into a surface level very simplistic design.
Her visual redesign is so on brand for her silly bubbly attitude and a death metal idol. Her gameplay is just absolute gorilla ham nonsense and she's one of the most fun new characters since...idk for me baiken

Yeah she used to be 100% about the marriage gags, but now she's mostly about her band with a little love craziness sprinkled in. Though I do miss some of those long ass win screens from Xrd where she thinks out loud what her marriage to the character she just beat would be like.

I’m not a huge fan that whenever you beat an elphelt in a round you’d best believe the next round you’re going to get infinite flipped at high low if you whiff once. I found baiken is decent against her since locking her in melee range typically makes them panic
