I think she was 18 when she posted this. Takes a lot of courage to solo on piano doing a cover that is as popular as Creep is. Pau is gutsy and fearless. 🤘😎 Pau rules!
Pau is a talented singer. There are many covers of this song. For me, a rocker aged 76, she now owns this song. When you introduce someone who doesn't know The Warning from Adam and they're impressed with this performance, tell them "And she's even better on the drums."
I'm just out of nappies then at 60, yet 40yr old babies say Ill be back in them soon 😂😂🤣🤣. I to agree. I would add all three sisters are just as good vocally and find me another band you can say that about. ⚡⚡⚡🤘🤩💥
If you are watching this and don't know who that young lady on the piano is, you are in for a surprise. She is a rock drummer, and a dame good one. Go check out some of The Warning videos on this channel. By the way, she's not even the lead singer in the band.
That piano is where literally every TW song begins. One day after Pau and her sisters are inducted into the R&R Hall of Fame that piano should be displayed there also.
Wow, Jimmy. I just can't believe you shouted me out and did this cover. Thank you! The backstory (as I understand it): Pau solicited suggestions to do a cover version of something, and most of the votes were for Creep. She learned the song in 4 hours and recorded it on her phone; what we see is the end result. The "YES!!" at the end was because she knew she did it perfectly in one take.
4 hours! Holy cow! Thank you for putting me onto this cover and for the backstory. I've said yall haven't got me to cry yet, but dang that was close. Very much my pleasure to shout you out my friend. Cheers!
@@jimmysrandom - I heard this was the fourth take. I might be wrong though. But to be fair. Eight years ago a RUclips band called *Postmodern Jukebox* did a cover of *Creep* with singer Halley Reinhart. The group strip down Rock songs and put it into a jazz, roaring twenties or some other genre of music. Their Creep had a piano, stand up bass & horns was added. Vocals was just like Pau. Not saying Pau heard Postmoderns version or not. Or even borrowed the idea. It doesn't matter since Pau already writes songs on that piano. But most of all. She had to perform the song. She did it by herself. It was all her. Luckily we got proof on their album *Error.* She sat down at that piano. Wrote, sung, played, produced, recorded the bonus song *"Breathe".*
Another great story about Pau is when she did the drumming at 10 years old of Kelly Clarkson's song "my life would suck without you"..She had practiced over and over again. They finally decided to record it and she played it Prefect. But the Camera died half way through it and it broke her heart she cried as she had put her all into playing it right. Like a Trooper she played it again and it also was prefect.
@@jimmysrandom "Will You Cry with Dany?" is another I highly recommend. She talks through much of it but also tells a story and sings a Billie Eilish cover that strips away all the stardom and lets you see the real Dany in a very emotionally vulnerable place. After I watched that, she gained so much respect from me because she allowed us into her space and didn't edit anything out.
AND she is playing it and singing the lyrics from memory, having learn the song earlier that day! Of course, this doesn't surprise most of us after following the band for a few years. She comes up with most of their song ideas even to the point of creating a demo of the basic riff, the beat, and some of the lyrics. We already know that this young lady has unimaginable talent that has yet to be explored and can't wait for her to do something impossible for us yet again.
There are many covers of Creep, including an incredible version with PMJ and Haley Reinhardt. Of course, Haley has been singing professionally longer than Pau’s been on the planet and her vocals are her instrument. That PMJ arrangement is a great, stylization of the original. Haley has done that version touring with PMJ and with her own band. It’s well rehearsed. This version, with Pau alone at the piano, is raw and deeply felt. It may well be the last time she played the song. Thankfully, she recorded it so we could go back and experience it over and over..and I have. You can sense Pau living in the lyrics, feeling the pain of not just each word by every syllable. I love both versions and I’ve been a Haley fan since I saw on American Idol in 2011 when Haley was 21. Pau was 9. Both are incredible singers. Only one version of Creep gets me in the feels every time I watch it.
That's the way you do it, Jimmy! Can you believe some reactors abort the video before Pau's excited self-affirmation? There's no good reason to do so. 😊

Sometimes the human factor is so overpowering, nothing else matters. Pau knows this to her core. Seemingly, she always puts everything into a performance. She knew, at the end of this, that that take was enough. "YES!!!" *Creep, Black Holes, 23, Revenant, Show Me the Light,* and *The End (Stars Always Seem to Fade)* are all soul shakers.
Pau could have recorded this in a studio with a better quality piano , but it was actually a great call to play this song on the family piano , mainly because it has that old authentic sound to it.
Pau un verdadero genio del rock compuso este cover en 3 horas por pedido de sus fans ,que excelente interpretacion con su voz desgarrada y profunda ,Pau sera leyenda en la historia del rock ,CREEP ,de Pau mejor que el original
Just got a chance to see this reaction and really enjoyed it. I never get tired of this performance by Pau. She doesn’t hold back. Btw, not sure why it took so long after viewing a few of your videos, but I just subscribed. Keep ‘em coming, Jimmy!🤘
I love this song more in Pau's rendition. Although Thom Yorke is indeniably the man behind this masterpiece, Pau did it justice - yes, she was a tiny bit shakky at the beginning, but come on... she just kill after a wee bit! I prefer Pau's rendition. She intuitively knows how to bring the feeling and me to tears
Pau-erful. I can get through the original without tears. I can get through Haley Reinhart's cover without tears. As many times as I've heard Pau do this, after spending just a few hours to learn it, I never get through it without tears.
Love this rendition by Pau. Your reaction was much like my first time hearing it. This piano is the one she's playing Breathe from the Error Album. This was a Pau Day . I don't know how many times she had to sing it
Singing is all about how the vocalist makes us feel. Pau made me feel the story of this song as she evoked plenty of emotion.
When I first heard this one I wasn’t expecting it to be so freaking powerful. I should have known better, none of them do anything halfway. Thanks
