Dallas, Texas Siren #5 FS 2001-130 Monthly Test - (Unusually) Short Attack 7/3/24

- I guess Dallas just decides to send out the codes and then decides it's enough after at least one minute. Either that, or they're just pushing a button and releasing it like 90 seconds later. Still a beautiful test nonetheless.
Siren Info:
Location:
Frankford Flats Apartments on Appleridge Dr. The apartment complex is right next to Dan F. Long Middle School.
Test Time:
Dallas tests their 2001s on the first Wednesday of every month, weather permitting.
The test duration may not be the same every time. Last time I recorded Dallas a year ago they tested for about a minute extra.
Please excuse the thumbnail, I wrote Alert and not Attack, also as you can see from a comment below it's not unusually short, but just a 90 second alert which is the new norm for Dallas. Sorry for any misunderstanding.
Hey, just so you know, this signal is Attack and 90 seconds is the standard test length in Dallas. They did 3 minutes in 2020/21 but switched back in 2022
I am aware about the signal. I for some reason did not pay attention and accidentally wrote "Alert" instead of Attack. I did not know they switched to 90 seconds though, so thank you for the information! I'll change the title and thumbnail as soon as possible to show the correct signal
@@dfwstormsandsirens lmao it be that way sometimes. The amount of dumb shit I’ve typed because I wasn’t paying attention is … immense.
You’re welcome for the info!
Nice video!
Thank you!
