@StealthGhost I`ve had the opposite. The outside stage performs the worst. averaging about 35fps, but inside fairs the best, at about 50fps. I`m not sure why that`s the case. Make sure you are updated to the latest drivers, but this is still the beta, optimization is not perfect. Aside from that, I don`t know what to tell you. Apparently there are beta drivers that increase BF3 performance by up to 35%.
@pyregeth That build sounds like quite the monster ;) Iv been a consal gamer 4 so long but since Games like crysis 2 and bf3 have been fauls advertized on consal showing of all the sweet pc graphics then the games come out they both suffer with pour visuals and the system struggling to run the game was quit apparent while playing the bf3 beta on ps3 the other day :(
@oHaiinexD 60 FPS I think, cuz I have got Intel Core i5 dual core K655 @ 3.20 GHz, Nvidia GeForce GTX 480 and 4 GB RAM DDR3 Kingston and it runs 50-60 FPS on ultra settings and 1920x1080
@matthewgutz No I just record to my standard 1TB HDD, when I am done with the footage I just delete it, unless it is really good gameplay, which this wasn't. At full HD, 2 mins of recorded footage is almost 4GB, so space fills quickly while recording.
Have you had any problems outside in the first stage at 2560x1440? For some reason I get like 15fps but inside I get 35-45. All of this is on ultra, if I put it to low outside it goes from 15 to 17 lol... Running a GTX570 so your 580 will be a little better but I'm hoping it's a driver issue.
@Minime637 Yeah I have the 285.38 drivers. I just played again on 2560x1440 and it was still doing it. Exited out and then went back in and forgot to change it back to 1080p and it was completely fine. I guess that's good news. Hopefully it will fix itself in the release, if not i'll probably just format.
What frames were you getting without fraps at 1080p mate? I am getting a steady playable 30 frames with a single 5870 but I really would like a 580 to play 60 frames if it can!!
@sniperhobbit lol. i got a i7 2600k right now with a hd 6870 and 16gb ram. it runs about 50-60 fps on ultra. about 70-80 on high 80-120 on medium. and i havent gone any lower.
@EmperorRosko Hey I have the iMac with the mobile 5750 1gig of vid ram and I was wondering if you think I'll be able to run it like BFBC2. So did you play BFBC2 and are the settings the same?
@sniperhobbit OR just do what im going. get a i7 990x h100 liquid water cooling for cpu probably get more than 12gb ram 2 HD 6990s and OC those. maybe then even with that i could play at low settings. :D
@redSHIFT69 Well I've played it on the 360 and this BETA, just feels like Bad Company 2, which isn't a bad thing. Sure the graphics aren't as good as on the PC, but name one game where the graphics were better on a console then on the PC. I think calling this game, which is still in Beta, total shit on the consoles is a little harsh. With hold judgement until it is released.
im so so glad i moved my bf3 version from ps3 to pc im playing early access on ps3 atm and its such shit graphics DO NOT BUY FOR PS3 graphics are so bad its only fun when u have nothing else to do black ops is tones better graphics but bf3 has sound and movement that beats mw3 but thats if fancy moves and enhanced sound is all and is not enough to keep me going will be posting some bf3 vids soon like 5 or 6 hours need to have a sleep while 2 bf3 ps3 gameplays are rendering
battlefield 3 should of been saved for the 720. on consoles this game is pure garbage...such a shame that this will only give Battlefield a bad name in the console community

@EmperorRosko I get about 45 fps when outside and between 45 and 60 fps when in the tunnels at 1080p.

Look crazy similar to consoles, interms of everything, imo Console gamplay looks more fun.

so if I got my self an i7 2600k, gtx 580 3gb and 8gb ram will I be able to run the game on ultra even on the big ass jet maps?
