► In the world of Pokemon, it is every professor's dream to see the young trainers they bestow the high tech Pokedex encyclopedia someday return to their lab with every entry completed. But what actually happens when you complete the Pokedex? What do you get? How do the professors react? Today, I'll be playing through Pokemon Sword and Shield for the nintendo switch and seeing what happens, what kinds of rewards and how people react to a completed Pokedex! Is it worth completing the Pokedex? Lets find out!
About the Pokedex!
► The Pokédex is a digital encyclopedia created by Professor Oak as an invaluable tool to Trainers in the Pokémon world. It gives information about all Pokémon in the world that are contained in its database, although it differs in how it acquires and presents information over the different media. However, they are also only given to a few Trainers at a time, generally to the ones that are felt to have exceptional potential and skill. There are different types of Pokédexes and each Pokédex is special to a specific region. Pokédex entries typically describe a Pokémon in only two or three sentences. They may give background information on the habitat or activities of a Pokémon in the wild or other information on the Pokémon's history or anatomy. Pokédex entries also include height, weight, cry, footprint (prior to Generation VI), location, other forms, and a picture of the Pokémon.

Just a little tip : I found out that if you talk to the game director before you complete your Pokédex you will get a catching charm which basically boosts your critical catch chance which is definitely helpful when you are trying to complete your Pokédex

@@undertonesone7378 It is a damn shame too because this could have easily been the best game of the franchise had they not nixed the national dex. Every other aspect felt really well done, but it just doesn't feel like Pokemon if its missing so much.

It’s literally just a 3ds game with the absolute slightest upgrades of textures, exact same animations(not just Pokémon moves, ALL animations like the humans have been the same since gen 5), as well as number of other things are all basically the same. Is it an improvement? Yes, but not by much at all. Certainly not enough to really excuse it for its 60 dollar price tag and for being a console game. It’s also the shortest game in the franchise which in itself is a sin(this is based on average time for story, roughly 20 hours compared to the average 30 the past few have).
I played through the entire game and enjoyed certain aspects of it, mainly a lot of the new Pokémon, but mostly felt just disappointed at the game as a whole. Here’s hoping next gen is an actual console game with its improvements but since game freak feels obligated to spit out a game every year now instead of taking time...so I doubt it.

I mean, I am at 310 it honestly is not hard if you are willing to set some time aside on the weekends and since the Friday was the release date it was perfect to binge.
Beat the game in 2 days (story wise) now I’m doing the story part after the credits and completing the Pokédex but being that it’s Monday and I’m at work there’s not much getting done sadly

Game Freak always kills the endings. Like when I played pokemon red I thought this would be the end game ending to the pokedex. Once you completed the 150 pokemon entries then you go to professor oak, he decides to battle you. Once you beat him, he tells you that the SS Anne has returned and you can travel this time. The SS Anne takes you to a small forest("south america") and there you encounter mew. Once thats over you official finish the game. Way better ending than expect to receive a in-game certificate. Its funny how HG/SS have a cool story that involves celebi and your rival but can't access it unless you have a celebi.

Gamefreak is downright untrustworthy now, only caring about the sales, and no longer care about Pokemon enough to actually try. At least, the higher ups don't. Swsh is proof that they want to put in the least amount of effort possible to get that higher return rate because actually trying isn't worth it to them anymore.

@@spoon5356 Yes, I own all of them. I'm not saying they are terrible, they're actually pretty good. However, that doesn't mean they aren't lack luster because they certainly are and they reason they gave us was a lie. A lie! And excuse for why they simply didn't want to put in enough work that good easily being these games from an 8/10 handled game to actual 10/10 console games that they should have been. In my and many other's eyes this is simply the start. Why? Reason being, companies that lied once will lie again. Other companies that keep lying over and over? EA, Activision, and Bethesda. If we let this slide by and not stand up against it it'll only get worse. I'm not blaming everyone at gamefreak, just the ones that get the final say.

What you need to do to get your certificate for completing the PokéDex is
1st, take a screenshot of it
2nd, post it on Twitter or Facebook via the switches linked Twitter/Facebook account feature, your choice
3rd, save the screenshot on your phone or tablet, your choice
4th, go to your nearest printer that you have access to and print it from your phone and tablet
5th, boom, now that you have it printed out, put it anywhere you want

What’s the point of a Pokédex if it doesn’t have all the Pokémon in said game? Even if all Pokémon aren’t in it, all the ones that are should have entries.
S&M had 302 Pokemon in the PokeDex, Ultra S&M had 403 Pokemon in the PokeDex. Every Pokemon that was not in the Alola Dex, did not have an entry.

Probably next pokemon game will be pokemon armor,since in the game I didn’t saw any old game Easter egg,so next 59.99 deal will be:pokemon armor with a little more pokemon and a Gigamax for Zacian,Zamazenta and some other random pokemons.

Now I know that there are only 400 Pokémon in this game, that’s less than half the S&M National Dex, I knew it was bad but I didn’t think it was THIS bad.

Easy, man, you ask someone you know with the opposite version to send you the legendary against the other, and then when you get the entry in the dex, you send them back
