Thank you for your comments. I am a Christian as well and feel bad for all the rhetorics against homosexuals. They focus so much on this issue they forget the real work Jesus actually had set for all of us...Matthew 25, When I was hungry you gave me food, Thirsty, drink, naked, you clothed me...When you have done it unto the least of these you have done it unto me. So much time is wasted on this issue...We should be fighting against human rights violations, economic injustice, world hunger.

Ironically enough, as I was feeling spiritually and physically dead on the inside of my body, God reached out to me, and put my soul and my heart at peace. Even though I was ready to give up on God and life, God still loved me enough to stop me from harming myself, and he showed me and continues to show me the truth every single day, when it comes to homosexuality. It's not a sin, and the bible never says it is.
So basically I regained my strenght in Christ ten fold after my little mental breakdown, and he helped me to accept myself as a lesbian, and to accept the fact that he created me this way, and that it's a good thing. It just shows how Great God is, and how much he loves us all and cares about us all. I feel like he's saddened by the fact that his people are ignorant, hateful, and have no love in their hearts, when they interpret scripture.

It is intuitive that I am a lesbian, and there's nothing I can do about it, and there's nothing wrong with it. My intuition about homosexuality is superior to your intuition about it, since I'm gay and you're not. "no amount of argument will convince you anyway." I can't be convinced of arguments that make no sense, and that are purely prejudiced based.
Often whenever a religious person says they "Love" gay people, they actually mean to say, "I love you so much that my favourite all-loving god will make you burn for an eternity...IF you don't accept a 2000-year-old judean preacher into your heart who may never have even existed." How they can call that "love" is fucked up beyond repair.

But I do feel these things with people I fall in love with. My better half will share the second half of my soul. I will be in love with that person forever and always.

That's easy to say that. You just throw the responsibility on the person and hopes him die with the feeling of guilt for not being able to change for what you think is the right way.

I'm glad that this guy brought up the hilarity in the claim of "the gay lifestyle." My lifestyle is certainly not the same as every other lesbian women on the planet, and yet these Christian homophobes keep on throwing "the gay lifestyle" around.

I did the whole denial, trying to live a straight life style, marriage, kids Christianity, but ended up almost hanging myself.
Society at large, especially religious groups should understand that there always have been gay people and always will be. Once gay people are "allowed" to fit in to normal society the whole promiscuous/dirty label will go away

I have nothing against straight people.
In fact, I think one of my cousins might be 'straight'. (She's always been very 'feminine' and lives with a male 'roommate', but we know what's going on!)
But, to be fair, if she wants to 'choose' that lifestyle that's her business and I don't condemn her for that.
I mean, I think it's unnatural and wrong, but as long as she doesn't try to 'shove it down my throat' or 'influence my kids' I will tolerate her.

It produces mutant children if it's heterosexual, and personally for me it's a bit weird to engage in sexual contact with close family members. However there are those who do it, and I don't look down upon them, or try to stop them. "Why don't we just accept it and not discriminate?" You have no choice but to accept it, because it happens everyday with or without your acceptance.
Logic says that it is up to YOU who make the claim to prove it; not for those of us who say you are false. You can't prove a negative, but you can prove a positive, so prove it.

"It teaches children to be comfortable around both men and women" Heterosexual relationships don't teach anything but that there are people who are heterosexuals and in relationships with each other. The character of both gay and straight relationships teach people how have good relationships.
"Homosexual behavior = having sex with someone of the same gender" Sex isn't a behavior, and who you have sex with doesn't determine your sexuality. A better phrase would be same sex, sexual acts. "flirting or expressing romantic interest in the same gender solely" That's not homosexual behavior, that's natural human instinct behavior.
God loves us all, unconditionally. If one is gay, so what!? That's who one is. The crime is not homosexuality, but the prejudices/hatreds against it and the harm one causes toward one.

Hello all. I am a Christian and want all gay people to know that god loved you as you are - and you can be gay and Christian. Please forgive those who preach hate - they are the ones who need the most help. If you want to know how much God loves you read the gospel of John and Galatians.
If we focus on God, sex doesn't dominate our lives anymore, whether we are gay or straight. He is all we need to help ourselves overcome things we struggle with, gay or straight - we aren't different at ALL. It's about focusing on God and doing good for others, intsead of engaging in lust. How we engage in that lust or who we choose it with, isn't what matters.
SO murder, theft, lying, or any kind of conscious sin doesn't even begin to compare to homosexuality. "You can justify it by appealing to your feelings, but a child predator will do the same." What does pedophilia have to do with sexuality? Nobody is born with an inclination to have sex or to be attracted to children. We all were attracted to children at one time or another, but this only happened when we were actually children. Pedophiles have low self esteem and lustful desires for kids.

Just like there are men who I love, I'm just not in love with them. I've only fell in love with women in my life. I'm only attracted to women. I will have a wife oneday, and I will make love to her everyday, and have no shame in doing so. "Therefore I am not a homosexual." Yes we know.
"The Jewish Faith also holds homosexuality as a sin" That's funny, because I was going through ancient hebrew text that commented on Mosaic law, and I couldn't find a place where they were discussing it wrong to be gay. They did however mention leviticus 18:22, and talked ONLY about pedastry. They were saying that if a father and son have sexual relations, they are breaking two rules, pedastry and incest. Why do you think ancient hebrew text haven't commented on homosexuality being a sin?

And I have to reemphasize this question. Why would God allow her to continue having same sex attraction if she doesn't want it? I find that Christians always have to come up with an excuse to excuse God, and whenever they can't come up with one they simply lean on "God works in mysterious ways." Sounds like the ultimate cop out to me.
What happens if they want kids? Who are you to tell someone what they should and should not do? What happens if they are bisexual?

I am a lesbian and a devout Anglican. I have no issues reconciling my faith with my sexuality because, very simply, Jesus died on a cross for EVERYONE, he LOVES everyone. He himself disrgarded pretty much every old testament law apart from, "Love thy neighbor as yourself, and love thy God". If that's all you need to do to be a good christian then I don't see being homosexual as being an issue.
well, here in California, Marriage may not be a big thing to some people, but to others it means the world. Rather than judging society, it's better to see the individuals who reside in the society.. Gay marriage is on debate of being legalized here after all.. Whether or not you're homosexual, it's good to support the homosexual people around you. Just one supporter can change their world..

If people that are in the struggle believe that they want to change and know that they can, than what should stop them from pursuing that? There is a reason that there are male and females. However, that doesn't disqualify in any way that people of the same sex can love each other in a romantic way as well. Not everyone has to be exactly like you you know. Not everything has to fit in your little box that you define as your world.

how many languages do you speak? When you are multi lingual spelling gets confuseing, especialy english becuase the basis of english spellings is nothing like any other. But thanks for the concern, how ever i think its enough that i speak 3 languages fluently and 2 more near to fluently, and so long as i spell well enough that you know what im saying is quite the achomplishment :)

People read Sophocles and Aristotle and learn from what they have to say. And then they DISPUTE it and ARGUE and find their own truths. The bible aslo has some very important messages like love thy neighbour. But people say they accept nothing but the bible and yet oppress others around them are the problem. Not Chrisitianity.
Fitasafiddle123, be smarter then that. I can't find it, you can't find it, but something so profound was in the USJM and is impossible to find. Any published information is very is to find. Google the dr name and quot should be enough, but I even went further to read his book, and did a search on his website. If you did see it, (which can happen) it has been corrected and removed. USJM does not "delete" information. That would defeat the purpose.
