I am currently in the worst shape I have ever been in my entire life. This is the first video of your I have ever seen, and I think it's exactly what I needed. I need to get my ass back into good shape, but first I need to drop as much of this excess fat as possible. Thank you.

@@EasyJayce I lost 10kg in 6 months, but I did it slowly. It was a more sustainable approach for me because when I ate too little calories, I had no energy to finish my workouts
I just followed your methods and I'm now down 8kg! I'm just doing volume eating to ease the hunger brought by being in a calorie deficit and being consistent about the process.
@@jirish78 Eating low calorie foods which can be eaten in volume to make you full. Like cabbage and carrot. Unlike the infamous "calorie dense foods" such as cake that will make you less full/satiated and will make you tend to eat more.
Being in a calorie deficit is a habit like anything else. Extreme loss is a tool but having the ability to repeat the deficit with a manageable, repeatable approach is what keeps it off.
This is great content. As an NHS primary care health and wellbeing coach this in the conversation I have with people several times a day. Seeing your version of how you explain the insulin train, is super helpful and something I will certainly be taking to use day to day. Thank you.
I lost a big amount about 5-6 years ago but noticed I've been slipping. Weighed myself, had put on nearly a stone. Honestly disappointed in myself but got back on it and have lost 4 lbs in the last 2 weeks. Not crash dieting. For me, I can do it for a bit then I go nuts and eat everything in sight!
I lost 50 kg fat in one year. I went from 140 kg to 90 kg. Almost shreded and kept alot of muscle mass i worked for 10 years. What i did was going into extreme fasting. I would go many days with like 2 protein bars, vitamin supplements and a protein powder. I've struggled with weight loss all my life and at 34, I've been hitting the gym for the last 3 months and not eating at such an aggressive deficit. Right now, I'm down 46lb / 21kg. Aggressive calorie deficits were probably the reason why I kept starting and stopping. So now I just eat 1000kcal under my TDEE and make sure I eat a lot of protein through non-processed foods and eating carbs that keep me full. I enjoy the gym 6 days a week and never feel what I am eating is "boring". Anyway, this post wasn't meant to brag about my success. I still have a way to go but I would say aggressive calorie deficit dieting was why I couldn't stick to diets and fitness - it just took me a long time to realise that. Now I live my life with a steady fat loss process while building muscle. My physical and mental health has never been better.
I'm on the same path. But I dont look at the weight. I use the mirror and if I'm happy (not happened yet) I cut down on the exercise but NOT stopping my reduced eating. Still eat exactly what I want, I just eat half of what I did before. Works for a 44 year old. Keep on crackin man.

Big fan of your content James! Have you got any plans for a video for skinny guys looking to bulk/build muscle without getting skinny fat in the process? As a very skinny dude trying to gain weight, would love to see a video from you about it!
That would be the same method as everyone else who want to gain minimal amounts of fat while building muscle. Find you total daily expenditure with the calories you burn while training included, add a few hundred extra calories on that. Lift weights, weigh yourself daily and average it out over the week to monitor your weightgain. If you gain too much weight, lower calories, if you gain too little, increase calories.
Thanks but I was asking James if he’d make a fun video about it - not asking for the opinion of a random person.
