Every time I watch your videos I'm inspired. This time it was to try something new... dyeing. My family is now joking with me on the regular that I'll be setting up a shopify account and selling to fund my retirement. They aren't far off the mark! Dyeing is in my imminent future...
I have fiber envy right now!!!!! I promised myself I would not get any more fiber until I finish the two baby blankets in progress. Can’t wait until I can get back to spinning!!!!!!
So close to 10K! I just shared a link to your latest rolag video in a Facebook fiber group comment because the technique would help the OP, so…..maybe 10k will be a little closer! I’ll have a cocktail on standby for the live celebration. That was some beautiful sunshine, and I have some today, so thanks for sending it over. 😉 That braid with the pale greens is my favorite, though that purple yarn was great, too!
Ok you asked which is the favorite……. All the sweet spring colors play so nicely together, I have a tough time deciding! And I am not brave enough to be wearing such a beautiful sweater when I play with dyes….
I never even think about that LOL! I wore a white tee shirt in a video last summer and it really freaked people out, but it came out spotless. I can't eat anything without spilling it though. Go figure!
I feel your pain for orthodontist visits even though I've never gone. I don't weave but I actually had been wondering if you had some weaving on the go or planned. I can't really name a favorite. I'll likely nab Mums at some point maybe from the shop and there's others I still like too of course lol. The dyed stuff looks great and of course the pink, green and yellow is my fave of those two but I really like the red, blue and green too. Makes me wanna try that with the red being a little more on the orange side :) Looks so different braided up :)
When I saw the roving being dyed, I wasn't a fan of the color way. But when you showed the dried roving I loved it! Takes a pro to realize what colors will look great in the end. Thanks for the lessons. I'm happy for the growth of your channel. God bless.
The gloves seem like an awesome gift, I always get fed-up with my vinyls half way through and just accept stained fingers. The coral and turquoise is very pretty, though I like the earth-tones that you had at the start of the video.
It feels like I know half, but I don't 😂😂😂. It's really funny too, because if your avatar looks at all like someone elses (teeny little picture) I can confuse you even though it doesn't make sense to anybody but me!
I use them so rarely, I've never thought about getting them until I was making this video. I probably have something else I could use lying around. I've just never even thought about it!
@@FiberLoveDiary Honestly I was thinking electronic cord control without having to cut zip ties all the time when I need full access and then permanantly borrowing a couple for the dye pot. :)
You have an amazing eye for color selection. Your table looks so springy. I love various shades of purple. So excited for the 10K giveaway. Someone is going to be in fiber carding heaven.
Hello. Such gorgeous colours. 💕 I love to watch you work your magic on fibres, and I've picked up so much information from you. Please could you make a video to show me how to braid fibre after dyeing. Mine looks like it's been dragged through a hedge backwards, and looks so scruffy when braided!!! I'd be very grateful for a few tips and tricks...please, please, please.
what perfect timing, on the very day I got easter egg dye tablets and cotton balls! lol it's a dyeing (or at least thinking about dyeing) kind of day! love the bright colors, and did I spy a steak inspired braid in there? :D
Funny story, today I decided to dye two of the soxtravaganza yarns I had spun...I guess I should have labeled my jars. I used soda ash instead of citric acid, lolol! Waiting to see if I ruined the yarn...Both braids at the end were gorgeous!
Two things: my first real job (not baby sitting) was working for my orthodontist and he was the sweetest boss I have ever had, sorry your experience has been so unpleasant; item two - what dye was the coral, please. I have been trying to create a nice coral from all the dyes I have with no luck. I guess I have three things to say - good on ya! It doesn’t seem all that long ago we were celebrating 1,000 followers.😃
It's okay. I complain, but I'm not about to give up. I'll see it through until the end! The coral is Jacquard salmon. Thank you! John says it was winter '19/'20. I really can't remember!
Those braid colors are so pretty, I love watching you dye, it’s so interesting to watch! And oh yeah, for the yarn what kind of ties are you using, looks easier than than weaving the yarn in and out to keep it together.
So pretty! How do you heat your fiber and get it to still look so fluffy and soft afterwards? Mine always looks pretty gnarly!🙃 I must be doing something wrong for sure.
How often are you reformatting your cards when you dump them? I had a photography teacher tell me once that you should reformat your cards before every use both on the computer and in camera. Maybe that could help?

GO FOR IT!! 😂😂
Oh my goodness those are so pretty. The pink, yellow and green reminds me of Easter eggs.

I'm sure you'll be there soon!
I'm so excited for 10K subscribers! Can't wait to see who wins.
You are so close to the 10000, can't wait, and it shouldn't be long. Loved the dying process. Blessings.
Such beautiful springtime colors 😍. I love a red/black combo. Also tourquoise and purple.. I'm in need of gloves like that, your hubby is the best
He is, and he thinks of stuff that I don't even think about at all, so it's nice.
I LOVE the coral, turquoise and lime colorway!! 🥰😍❣️
The pink yellow and green is lovely although that turquoise is lovely. The yarn though, oh I love that
I ❤️ turquoise so much. Your dye videos are always wonderful.
Still amazed how you can turn wool fiber into those beautiful colors.
Ooohh! Very pretty! Makes me think Spring!
I think so too!
Love the pink, yellow and green. They are both beautiful.
what a gorgeous bundle of colours and fluff.
Thank you!
I like the coral, yellow and green. I like the pro chem dyes too.
You have been busy! Cool spring colors. Absolutely pretty. 🧶🐰
Thank you! 😊
Loved watching the steps you took in dying the wool. Great tips to pick up on for methods you use and you explain why which is fantastic.
I like the green, coral, turquoise braid the best, but all your yarn and braids are gorgeous!
I always learn when you dye! I get encouraged to mix different colors!
Another great! video. I love these. Love your color choices. 🥰

yellow pink and green combo just pops
☺
Thanks, I don't know why but I LOVE that one.
Love when you dye roving!! I'm washing cormo locks while I watch this.
I had so much fun this time. I feel really inspired to do tons more.
Love pink, green , and yellow
Thanks, me too!
Love you too🥰! That fiber was amazing!!
Great colours Trish! If I had been in the US I would have tried to snap up some of that Dorset Horn. Those would make such fun socks!
Thank you! I think dreaming of Spring is showing up in my dyeing time.
The pink, yellow, and green braid is so pretty. It reminds me of spring time.
Beautiful!!!! I can’t pick a favorite.
Thank you! 😊
So pretty! They remind me of Easter eggs.
Ooo all that pretty colors reminds me of spring
I think impending Spring had an influence 😂😂
That coral and turquoise and green is so pretty!
Such happy colors. Thanks for sharing. Makes me want to start dying again.
I love these! The colors pop perfectly in these braids!
They look like spring candies! Love those colors! :)
I really like the one with turquoise, also the yarn.
I really loved the tonal yarn… so pretty!
Thank you! 😊 That is for a sweater that was requested for our granddog, Ava.
Pretty spring fiber colors!!
Thank you!
Oh my, all that pretty fluff 🥰
I’m new to dying fiber I’m going to try this technique. Beautiful colors
Go for it!
I'm all about the purple! Love it! 😍
The turquoise color is very nice! I got momentarily confused with the green that looks yellow as a powder. Lol.
When I was editing I was thinking that those two look identical until the water hits them!
Love the spring colors!
I think my Spring yearnings are coming out 😂😜
New here. So far I’m on video 2. Enjoining what I’m seeing. Thanks for sharing.
Welcome!!
Love to watch your dye videos.
Yay! Thank you!
I love your dyeing videos so much they are super mesmerizing and I end up relaxed and yet jazzed with ideas all at the same time!
I'm glad you feel inspired!

So pretty. I love to see the finished fiber
So exciting for you to hit the milestone.
Wow! That was fun and they were so beautiful!! Hey from Hiddenite North Carolina!!💜💚
Can’t wait for the weaving video!!
That aqua and yellow is calling my name🤣 I’m also totally loving the pin, yellow, green🥰
They've had their photo shoot this morning now that they're finally all dry.

I have some weaving on my floor loom that I"m not enjoying so it's just sitting there LOL. Mums is John's favorite!
Color transmogrification mastery!
Cant wait to buy some of those dyes you use.
Hope you enjoy!
When I saw the roving being dyed, I wasn't a fan of the color way. But when you showed the dried roving I loved it! Takes a pro to realize what colors will look great in the end. Thanks for the lessons. I'm happy for the growth of your channel. God bless.
Sometimes I doubt liking a colorway I envision when I see it in the pan. It doesn't look as good as it does dried, fluffed and braided.
Very cheerful colours. 🥰
I love all those colours but especially the neons on the unbraided roving 😍
It was fun!
The gloves seem like an awesome gift, I always get fed-up with my vinyls half way through and just accept stained fingers. The coral and turquoise is very pretty, though I like the earth-tones that you had at the start of the video.
Yeah, he definitely thought I was crazy that I had never bought myself a pair.
All those colours are beautiful
Beautiful combinations of color and I do so enjoying watching your methods of laying out the roving - gives me ideas on how to do some for my sister.
Glad you feel inspired!
Love the colors of your roving!
Easter! Beautiful colors!

Wow! O_o Those are SO gorgeous!!!
Beautiful colors Trish!
I need reusable zip ties. Heat resistant gloves is a brilliant idea! Oh pretty colors.
I use them so rarely, I've never thought about getting them until I was making this video. I probably have something else I could use lying around. I've just never even thought about it!

Love watching yarn being dyed. Those turned out so pretty.
You have an amazing eye for color selection. Your table looks so springy. I love various shades of purple.
So excited for the 10K giveaway. Someone is going to be in fiber carding heaven.
I love the blue and green one
Hi! I was just watching your breed study playlist then I got notification that this video is up! 👍🏻❤️🧶
Good timing!
Really love the dye videos = very informative!
I love your dye videos! Hoping to get my garage due space set up by summer!

I really like the one with yellow but I must say the other is great too
They are all so gorgeous! If only I could spin faster…
what perfect timing, on the very day I got easter egg dye tablets and cotton balls! lol it's a dyeing (or at least thinking about dyeing) kind of day! love the bright colors, and did I spy a steak inspired braid in there? :D
LOL!! No, it was inspired by fall mums, but I can totally see how you saw that. It was already dyed before I saw the ribeye!
Beautiful colors
I hope you plan on making more of those last two braids that you showed. I plan on ordering them but not until my spinning gets better.
I have no plans either way LOL!
Don’t wait Margarita! Spin what you love now, and I guarantee it will turn out better than you think!
Love all the colors. I’m still in the process of moving, so all my stuff is packed right now. I can’t wait to get moved in and back to crafting!
Beautiful!
See you Sunday!
I had a dream the other night that I won the drum carder!!!!
So pretty!
Is that a pampered chef 2 quart measuring bowl? I just recently figured out what BFL meant. Love this dye session!
my favorite color is deep purple and i like so i dye my hair that color

How do you pick such beautiful colours. Keep showing me how you dye your fibre.
I get inspired by very weird things, just like I name my colorways after very weird things 😂
Who won the drum carder? Someone is super happy!
Those braid colors are so pretty, I love watching you dye, it’s so interesting to watch! And oh yeah, for the yarn what kind of ties are you using, looks easier than than weaving the yarn in and out to keep it together.
Those hanks come tied already so I don't have to do anything. I just add the zip ties to make them easier to move in and out of the pan all together.
@@FiberLoveDiary LOL Zip ties is what I was trying to say :P
Is it un natural that I just want to face plant in all that colorful fiber? ( I thought so).
I think it's natural to all of us 😂😂
I’m surprised how variegated the yarn still came out! What did you think of Dorset ? To me it’s unsuitable for garments it’s so scratchy.
So pretty! How do you heat your fiber and get it to still look so fluffy and soft afterwards? Mine always looks pretty gnarly!🙃 I must be doing something wrong for sure.
shades of teal & pink
How often are you reformatting your cards when you dump them? I had a photography teacher tell me once that you should reformat your cards before every use both on the computer and in camera. Maybe that could help?
I do it, but it's rare, so I'll give that a try. Thanks!
I really loved the coral and greens. But I’m yet to see something that you have dyed that i don’t like.
So you put one tablespoon per pound of fiber but how much water?
It doesn't matter how much water
@@FiberLoveDiary ok cool thank you for your help your the best!
You have been busy
