I really like how some of the gods (I've only seem Artemis and Hermes, but there could be more clips I haven't seem) physically appear to talk face-to-face rather than just sending boons.
Basically the "Silver Sisters" (Mel, Selene, Artemis, and Hecate) + Hermes are all allied together and are directly intervening in the current crisis rather than just observing or lightly aiding.
Nemesis sort of fits this description. And Selene can't appear during runs, but she does appear at base camps on New Moons when she isn't in the sky. Though Hermes appears to be a one off since he's only physically there because he's on his way back from spying on Chronos' side of things and it involved running through Mel's usual route. His dialogue all but directly says he'll only be talking via boon from now on. (SPOILERS FOR TARTARUS AREA) Hades could technically count towards this as well.
@@elfireii328 It's a little iffy, honestly. Bends the Fates' rule, but breaking their rule would deffo incur their wrath. Thus, the incantation only extends the amount of time Melinoe can stay on the surface.
I feel like in this case with the three fate captured by chronos and dire situation and all. The three fate might "look away" this time about Melione breaking the fate curse since she is needed in Olympis and all
@@malakitaub9024 I want to say that in actual Myth they probably would curse anyone, no exceptions, who bent their rules. But in game, the Fates themselves were the ones guiding Zagrius with the list of minor prophecies to ensure that Olympus and the Cthonic gods had the most chance of eventually repelling Chronos. So in-game lore suggests that the Fates decide what must happen, but they can't bring it to fruition without a proper setup. Which is why they needed Zagrius to succeed in finding Persephone to ensure Mel was born and they had a fighting chance.
Can't blame you for some of the dialogue artemis had seems to hint she had a bit of a feeling for zagreus. Like when you try to invite all olympians to party in hades house, she's disappointed that the invite was for everyone and not only for her
Ii really like that Artemis has grown up. obviously she’s physically older, but in the first game she’s basically a lonely little girl but now she feels more like a god.(not that that was a bad thing, that was actually one of my favourite things about the first game)
I feel like thats kinda what she represents in the mythology so i liked her humorus take in the 1st one, shes like the goddess of find yourself through isolation from her original story, she just kinda lands on hunting after being ostrocised and gets good at it.
I have a feeling many of the sprites are incomplete. Hers looks mostly complete, but there’s a good chance it’ll get some final polish. Her sprite doesn’t have the sketchy feel that some of the later sprites do though, so I can’t say for sure if it’ll get any changes. It is nice as it is, fitting for Artemis and where we meet her, at least. Sidenote: I loved the previous Chaos, but I also adore the latest incarnation. They’ve got a sense of fashion and macabre, and I love the idea that they’ve developed some greater sense of anthropomorphism by connecting with the world since Zagreus reconnected them with Nyx. They seem to revel more in the creation they spawned now, even if they still refuse to directly participate in it.
While her new sprite feels a little off for me, I like that she looks and sounds more mature. She was like a teen in first game and now she's looking and acting like a young adult. We don't really know how fast gods age, but it definitely gives a feel that some time has passed since Hades 1.
@@valhunter97I agree that I love the design for the new older Artemis, but also agree that it does seem a little off for some reason. Myabe it's the eyes? They look a little dull and glassy compared to her original portrait.
@@valhunter97 More than just the passing of time, I think the _events_ of Hades 1 changed some members of the family a bit. Artemis seems a bit more willing to see the best in her fellow gods, even if she still prefers doing her own thing.
yea, a lot of the boons are way too situational. Support Fire and Pressure Points are the 2 out of 7 boons she currently has which can be pretty helpful in most cases. Lethal Snare can be good only if you have a build that focuses primarily on attack but with some cast boons that allow you to place it anywhere. Easy Shot requires an Ω cast focused build to be of any use... Silver Streak and First Blood are simply very bad. Death Warrant is really bad because of its slow cool down and targeting only 1 random enemy - it might only be useful in boss encounters, but at that point you might as well invest poms into things that can do much more consistent and high damage without randomness involved.
take your shot sister

Selene can appear in the base
@@Noctis-fr3uc and I'm hoping we'll get occasional visits from Artemis and Hermes in the base later.

I wonder if we'll see the rest of them once the surface layers are finished.
In Zag's defense, he probably would've loved to go see Mt Olympus, but the whole dying in the mortal world thing... and time with Mom gets priority!
Hey, atleast now Mel has a way for them both to get up there (assuming the incantation can work for Zagrius and Hades as well)

@@yeeyw I think that was more because she just really don't like big social events, particularly with her family.

I think she's a lot more in her element out on a hunt than she is intervening in family drama
She really needs to talk more about Zagreus
Why? What he do for her hes dead right now when theyre fighting Chronos
@@joedorben3504spoke as someone who skipped dialogues in the first Hades
i love artemis' voice it's so satisfying to listen to
Well, considering the nectar I spent on Artemis, i really hope i know the reason she's trying to get down there.
Wait, Artemis is talking about Zagrius. Why is Mel talking about Hermes? Is the dialogue mixed up?
Early access moment I guess.
It's because Hermes was the one who asked her to go to the surface I think
May goddess Artemis protect princess Melinoe and prince Zagreus.
Why is Artemis trying to get into the underworld?
The Gods are warring against Chronos who's living it up all the way down at the bottom where you start in Hades 1.
@@RobeBLB so melanie goes to olympus and then all the way down to the Hades house?

I hope this isnt the sprite they use for the full game, the og one looked so much better

Artenis was way better in Hades 1 now she has way too many bad boons
