- I mean to be fair I was in Elysium so it would have been tough fight regardless but I feel like Dionysus would have been much more cool to fight. Also Artemis just absolutely roasted Zag, I really did miss an easy shot.
Dionysus just doesn't want to hurt Zagreus, look at his slow and predictable attacks.

When it comes to God there's a damned if you do damned if you don't and they tend to forget about it once they've gone through their tantrum they're good with him again. In the case of Dio being who he is he has a case of an actual drunk one moment they could be your best friend the next moment they want to kill you to next deciding they forgot why they were mad at you all in the span of seconds to minutes. So this is kind of in character for him

For me the worst one to fight against is Athena, espacially in elysium. Shielded shield champions are a manace.
For me it was just frustraiting as they are really slow and is just a waiting game in order to get a few hits. But I can see why for others might have been worst.
For me the other way around. Always pick athena, just a freebie. You just kill the enemies before the shield procs or you can simply chill a few seconds. But i also focus on no hit runs, so it is kind of obvious :D
The worst is when the spirit gets shielded and regenerates, cuz you can’t damage him

Athena's protection is actually at worst when against an enemy that is already protected from half directions (though invulnerable ghosts are a menace indeed)

It's a nice show of character that if Dionysus is mad with you he's still the chill dude you know and goes easy on you but Artemis, true to her often bitter, annoyed and "it's not like I like you or anything Zag" demeanour, unleashes her entire wrath on you and if not dead she'll leave you with very little hp. Also Aphrodite. I don't care what anyone says, Aphrodite has the most cancerous revenge.

To be fair, catching the mad-dashing around prince of Hell, who has favour of quite a number of gods, the God of speed himself included, while sitting up here in Olympus, isn't an easy task.
@@DemonerLycan additionally, its mentioned multiple times that the olympians cant actually see down into the underworld, mainly cause of nyx's power. So these arent easy shots, they are literal blind shots at the general area where she thinks zag might be standing. not bad all things considered
@@quetuo3908 plus you can make the perfect shot all you want. If your target work to say duck at the last second then your shot is guaranteed to miss! There is no such thing as a perfect shot unless the target is completely immobile and nothing gets in the way of the shot like say the wind deciding to change direction in the worst possible manner! And as you said because of Nyx, the best Artemis can do is blind shots at where she thinks he is. She can still pretty much hit him if our boy does not Dodge the very moment he's targeted! So she's not missing he's just dodging

I have never said no to Artemis. Ever. When I was playing with my sister, there was an awkward moment when she asked “what does Artemis do when you don’t choose her?” And I was like “I… don’t know. I’ve never chosen someone over her…”

I always choose artemis, almost always at least, but her revenge is easy for me, Aphrodite though, is crazy, Ares revenge is dangerous, poseidon is annoying but dangerous too.
Ares is honestly the most chill about being spurned. Made me feel better about not choosing him first ever ^_^

Admittedly, Artemis trusts you fully. She is a loner in her family and she sees in Zagreus someone she can actually go hunting with, something she doesn't do with anyone else. To say that this is betrayal is an understatement.
Not sure about the game lore but in the mythos, her twin brother Apollo is often her hunting partner. But as for the game lore that is yet to be determined with Apollo showing up in hades 2

Even disregarding their personalities, I’ll always choose Artemis. I love a crit build in any game
You'll have both boons by the end, so this is my ranking:
Artemis: will be mad by the choise and will still be mad after the trial.
Demeter: will feel unrespected and forgive you only because you're her grandson, willing you to be more wise on the next time.
Zeus: will feel unrespected but then remember that people is like that sometimes and also he can be a little too prepotent due his power.
Poseidon: it hurts his feelings but will forgive you as a beloved nephew and because young people must be reckless and do some mistakes once in a while.
Athena: will understand your lack of wisdom all the time but then recognise your wisdom by surviving your own choises.
Aphrodite: will be jealous at the beginning but after recognise the low-point of jealous and forgive in name of love.
Dionysus: "It hurt my feelings" to "Come on, let's drink another one and have fun bro".
Ares: will feel unrespected but will end liking you better due the amount of blood from the trial.
Chaos: "The gods's issues are too bellow my whims. Choose a boon and prove yourself worth of it by surviving its odds."
Hermes: "Who cares about family issues? Just get this boon and gotta go fast."

Yeah i made the same point. i do think dio is the easier god to fight but anything in tartarus compared to Elysium is a cake walk
i find dio more annoying than the ones that you just need to keep moving to not get hit by (like arty over here)
Dio is honestly the easiest one to deal with, except maybe in asphodel.
Just FYI I didn't make this video to say whether one is harder than other I just think Dionysus is a lot more chill about picking someone else and Artemis is geniuely either hurt or pissed if you don't choose her. Also I mentioned this exact thing in the description but thanks for telling me that the Elysium is harder than Tartarus! I totally didn't know! Super good comment, keep up the good work!
I wouldn't even pin it on Tartarus vs. Elysium. It all comes down to the map imo. Artemis is easy if you're not stuck in a corner next to the circles' spawn point like in the video. Whereas Dionysus on an Asphodel map with like 4 tiny platforms to stand on absolutely wrecked my shit.
You don't want to mess with:
1) A god who takes their job seriously
2) A passionate god

See the reason I decided to never betray Artemis again after the first time and gave most of my Nectar to her was because the dialogue line she gave after being defeated made me feel so guilty
Artemis Posiedon and Demeter are the most terrifying imo. I once picked Artemis over Demeter while doing a Bow run and lost both my 30% revive and my Skelly's Tooth revive from her freeze circles.

The only reason I pick anyone over Dionysus is that I trust he will forget about it by the time I’m done
It's my first time seeing what Artemis does when you don't pick her. I always have picked over the other in my 300+ hours. She's my favourite. Favourite goddess, favourite boons, probably fav character too
The thing is, when you get good enough at the game, and know how to make reliable builds consistently, none of the gods can really hurt you in these physically, but emotionally I always feel like I genuinely made Artemis upset, yeah a lot of the gods are petty, but most laugh it off, or are so narcissistic you don't take it personally, she just continues to be mad at you while helping you and feeling bad about it.
Which honestly somehow hurts more than getting sent all the way from Elysium back to the house-
strong drink has got to be the worst perk. once you're out of Tartarus the fountain rooms are just so dam rare that you're better off just picking something else
I always choose it up until asphodel, because it fits my playing style. If you get that boon in Tartarus you get a minimum of four fountains for each Underworld region. So +8% attack minimum, plus any other bonuses, and going into Hades fight with full health.
If I come across it in Temple of Styx I’ll pick it when I find the satyr stack just so that I’m full health against Hades
Theres a fountain room after every boss. Dont forget strong drink takes into account ALL health healing fountains. This gives u the opportunity to heal to full after every boss, and go onto the next level with max health
@@dsend_ yeah, but Dusa's keepsake alone makes it so that you don't need the fountains. if you're lucky you can get a health pickup or two every room
I personaly love dionysus so much and always have choosen him over anyone if athena was not around. Then the day came Athena was around. I legit thought his aww man I thought we were closer than this reaction was because I always gave him all the gifts and my attention like bro was so chill. The second time I betrayed him I was so afraid Im accidently harming my relationship with him-
I choose him because his attacks are hella easy to dodge, and also he’s just really chill afterwards. I appreciate that.

That is actually pretty accurate to how the greek gods are in lore, the only chill one is Artemis. The other gods tend to be wildly emotional and highly unpredictable.... Plus many of them were unironically either rapists or murderers.
They all tend to be pretty competitive and proud, along with wrathful when spurned.

I hope Artemis can teach Zagreus about hunting because I want to make sure that Artemis can make Zagreus realize his true self that he is the Prince of Underworld and the son of Hades and Persephone. Also, I hope she can protect him.
Dionysus will always be my main but Artemis is a close second.

TBH, he's a vibe in mythology. As long as he is respected, that is. He isn't nearly as petty as other gods, but he is somewhat negligent and can be incredibly cruel to someone who doesn't respect him or the people who choose to follow him.
The main issue with him is REALLY the crazy women that followed him everywhere, the Maenads, who would resort to cannibalism on multiple occasions.
Otherwise, he's a momma's boy who just want to have a good time. Don't kill the vibe, and you get to enjoy it with him.

I always upset Athena, since she's the most "adult" in the squad. And ofcourse Aphrodite, because I like to make her sulking.
I’ve always hated Poseidon’s fights the most, but I don’t avoid fighting him either because while his boons aren’t really bad, they’re usually not as good as whoever else is an option.
Always pick whoever is against Athena. She doesn't hold it against you and her ability is just to make some goons invulnerable temporarily. So pick her unless you're on a speed-run.
Plus other than the difficulty, Dionysus is a chill dude, he'd forgive us easily.
The reason I always choose Artemis is because I know from Greek Mythology that Artemis has a vindictive streak a mile long. When one of her Huntresses: Aura joked at the irony that the virgin goddess had voluptuous breasts Artemis arranged for her to be raped by Dionysus in punishment. Hence my AGGAB stance on Greek Mythology: All Greek Gods Are Bastards.
Just picked up Hades recently and I've also discovered that I always DON'T pick Dionysus because his "trials" are super easy!
i'll pick Artemis over anyone anyday, unless that anyone is Demeter, she's the scariest Olympian Goddess to choose over cuz having your mobility denied by snowstorms induces sheer terror in me
It’s honestly easier dealing with the trial punishments that result in gods using area attacks like Artemis, Zeus, Athena, and Dionysus; I usually get scared shitless if I have to face any punishment from Demeter, Ares, Aphrodite and Poseidon; now those attacks put the fear of the gods in me.
The sheer sass coming from artemis is enough to kill me before the trial even starts
I personally hate going against Poseidon in Elysium. Colors of his waves easily mixes up with the floor and it's almost impossible to see it in a mess that's already happening on screen.
Gotta be real for a second, Dionysus should be fat. Guy is the God of Wine, he'd have a wine belly and be proud of it. Still love his design, but that's just a thought.

I've never even fought Artemis because I genuinely don't remember ever _not_ picking her over any other god. Not for practical who's-easier-to-fight reasons, I just love and respect her too much. Aphrodite, on the other hand, I nearly always go against even though she's a bitch to fight. Just to keep her humble.

I never, ever choose against Artemis. Mostly because she's my favourite and I love her the most, but also partly because the *one* time i didn't pick her, Theseus used her against me in the very next run.
