We didn't have a strong BMX/ Freestyle scene in my part of NC during the 80's but i vividly remember Eddie through the magazines and the rare video footage of him working a bike like magic. I can't explain how stoked it makes me to see him still living his best life at 58. Legendary dude!
Great to see Eddie still riding! For someone now in his 50's, I was a huge Eddie ,and GT fan back in the 80's! Thinking of starting riding again myself, I miss BMXing!
I had eddie on my wall stacks of Bmx plus magazines. I just started riding again. I purchased a haro park bike .I even have my old bikes .and a gt performer all chrome .I miss those days .our bikes were our cell phone . I'm 52yrs old I'll my lovely wife purchased my new bike for my birthday
Loved the video. Thanks for sharing. When I finally got a chance to hang out with Martin a few years ago it was pretty cool. Seriously the nicest and friendliest person you could ever meet.
From Sidney, Ohio. I had those carefully removed magazine centerfolds & pullouts on my wall too! I had a 88 GT PRO PERFORMER in all white except for the grips, seat, brakes, stem, and seatpost clamp, which were black.
Imagine a movie about a retired BMX Legend coming out of retirement for one more championship in the 55 and over class. Eddie could be Tom Cruise's stunt double. 🤔
I loved gt in the 80s. I had a Frankenstein bmx.. it was an 85 haro sport frame, 87 gt forks, 88 gt tomahawk 6 spoke directional mag wheels, hutch cranks, cw bars, gt mallet stem, 85 gt clamp , no brakes.. lol and cheap knobby tires. Buy i got it by trading my Montgomery wards open road 65$ bike, for it. Because my friend didn't know how to fix it. All it needed was tires and crank bearing races.
I so wish I could go to my local bmx track to find Eddie fiola!!!! Loving your gt Sean I see the wheels have been changed I need to sit and watch your last video!! Stay RAD!!🏴🤟🏻
Awesome video man!! I wish I could have been there! Miss it, I lived in the 714 up until 2017, favorite place…also you and Eddie rock! I’m turning 50 in Nov and I feel a lot better about it now! Lol 😂👍
Since I have the 2018, I haven't had the pleasure of trying out the "laid back" seat post the later models came with. I just swapped out the very short post it came with because my knees couldn't take pedaling while sitting down for long. I'm waiting till Tuesday to go get my chain tension issue sorted out. Something's a little off with my chain wheel, and that creeking noise is nerve-wracking enough to make me want to wreck the bike in a fit of rage. On quiet nights, I get to talking to nobody like Randy Savage during Mean Gene interview. CCCRRREEEEEKKK! Whut the HEll is ☝️😬🤙gooin' on with you, Mr. Chainwheel!? I'm not diggin' the MADNESS, yeah!
Wow Eddie tore that track up. That 1 guy was flying on the corners. "Spends most of his life on 2 wheels"🤣🤟🤟 Im a little jelly you are tight with Eddie now, just a little 🤣. Nice job bro, well done!
Awesome video and rad bike! I would like to know how the 36t sprocket fits on that new bike. Any mods to make it work? How's the chain line? Any binding? Also is that a 14mm axle on the rear Skyway mag? I thought the frame was a 3/8 slot. Stay Rad!
Well Eddie was getting it. I hope you take a clearcoat and put it over that signature on the bike because I got Hoffman to sign my bike and it’s already faded away
Eddie seems like such a great guy. What a legend.. Love that bike dude!

Great videos! Did you ever change the 9t cog on the Skyway? I'd like to know how to do it myself.
It sold before I did it
Where does Eddie get the energy?

Hello eddy fiola
🎯🎯🎯 You Scored….🍌🍌🍌
Eddies birthday... September 28th...that's the day I got married
Hello eddie I loveyou bro
Fucken awesome
Eddie Fiola is one of the best freestyler . I’m just kind of disappointed with him for not representing his true ethnicity. Is he American Indian ?
If you don’t know why are you upset?
Odysseus was the ones who put out the sprocket first .
