This is lovely. It’s beautifully balanced in every aspect. It’s a pleasure to see you paint and to hear your thought processes behind what you’re doing. 👏☺️
I recently found your you tube page, and i'm absolutely in love with your work and style. I've become quite inspired to take on more paintings so that I can learn how to create wonderful pieces as well. Thank you for all your awesome work.
just found your RUclips page and you're so talented and I love how your explain how frustrating it is to create art as well as being an artist. by the way you are a really pretty girl inside and out!
Thank u for this video! I was thinking about acrylics too! I bought white college acrylic from Schmincke, and I am dissapointed, so to any who wants to try, I guess quality is important. I took a look at your old more complex pieces (whole figure and trees, etc), with flamingos and mangolias, and they are amazing!
I also do watercolour pieces before I paint oil paintings :) It makes me feel a lot more confident in where I place things and how I feel about the subject and colours :) I love your work and you inspire me every day
Hi! Your "artworks" are beautiful! You inspire me of painting one of the faces that I want to paint, and I like them, that they are "watercolours", since I bought a lot of watercolours these days! And, it's okey for me if you just did them on a normal 'printing' paper, since my "sketching book" just arrived today, and they have the quality of a normal printing paper, too! Thank You, you're just on time, being a "coincidence" to my wishes to paint faces! Thanks, again! RE
Hi! Lovely video and artwork as always ^^ I did wonder though, you mention using acrylics as details and highlights. However, I have always heard that you should never layer acrylics on top of oil paints, as the acrylics will probably crumble off at some point. How did you make this work for you? (or is the acrylics falling off thing not true in the first place?)
I was also always told that you shouldn't layer acrylic onto oil, only ever the other way around, because of how slowly oil drys and continues to move a little for a long time. But I have never tried it, so I can't prove it
James Thrift She covered the back of her sketch with graphite (it’s quickly shown on the video at 4:26) and laid it over her watercolour paper and went over the lines of her sketch to transfer the graphite to her good paper.
Yes, good idea on simplifying the butterfly wings. I will be thinking about that next time. Love your work!

Wait. I'm confused. How did you transfer the sketch onto the watercolor paper? What kind of magic happened there!? Im baffled.
