1: Professional Mode
Switching over to the Lightroom Mobile Professional capture mode inside of the new Adobe Lightroom CC for Mobile App gives us complete control over essential camera settings like the shutter speed, the ISO, and the white balance. Utilizing all of these controls, plus the dng raw file format that is now possible, will give you the highest quality mobile images that we have ever seen
2: Highlight Clipping & Exposure Control
Lightroom mobile has a live highlight clipping warning (it uses the “zebra” warning technique to let you know which areas are clipping) those black and white zebra’d areas up where the sun is, Lightroom Mobile shows that that area is completely white and therefore does not have any information.
It has the easiest to use the Lightroom Mobile Exposure Compensation ever - just tap on the screen and swipe left or right to darken or brighten before you take the shot.
3: Composition Grids
Lightroom Mobile has a feature that gives you a live “Crop” tool overlay on your screen. The Lightroom Mobile feature is the “Crop Guide Overlay”, which as the name implies, overlays one of three different patterns on the image. I was surprised to find that most people really didn’t know about this tool, so I thought I would share how I use it.
4: Automatic Level
Lightroom Mobile has a built-in level, so you visually straighten your shot before you take it (see below #2 - that broken white line turns yellow and straight when your image is level)
5. Focus Mode
There are two ways to use focus in the Lightroom Mobile Lightroom App.
The first being one time focus, just click on the screen anywhere and that spot will become focused.
There is also a way to adjust the focus manually, hold down on the screen and everything in focus will go green. You can adjust what is in focus using the slider at the bottom.

i am not able to save photos that I shoot on the lightroom app..i am using an iPhone 8 and am on the free version....is the saving to camera roll option only for paid version???

No they are available in the free version. Make sure the camera is switched to professional mode.
Unsure if this option is iOS only as my Android doesn't have the option...
It should. Did you switch it onto pro mode?
Then also turn off the auto settings as it will automatically adjust the settings.
Yessir, pro mode, turned everything off auto to manual, focus on subject, correct WB, ISO, shutter speed, press the 3 buttons which is at the bottom, not the top and only see option for ratio, timer, red eye and settings... can add grid and level but no highlighter triangle or continuous focusing. Samsung S7 lightroom mobile premium.. nada =(
i have a question about the presets. when i select one, then take my photo, the preset is not applied when i view my photo in the library; for example, i took a photo use the b&w preset, but in the library the photo has color. is this normal because of the DNG format? is there an option to turn this on/off? any help is appreciated, thanks!!!!
Hey! I’ve never seen that before. I suggest deleting and reinstalling the app. Something is wrong for sure.
@@Beyondthegrid thanks for the prompt response! i think it's a bug in the app; thankfully my iPhone is jailbroken! i downgraded to v5.1.0 and the problem went away!

@@Beyondthegrid thanks for the video! learned a few things!-did not know that parts of highlight clipping do not contain data (i won't be tolerating 'some' clipping anymore!) and did not know about the hold to focus/green stuff, good stuff!! keep up the good work! ;-D
@@Beyondthegrid it's definitely a bug; i just deleted the app, ran a systems file cleaner, and re-installed the latest version, and it's doing it again

My S9+ doesn't have HDR, hight light clipping feature. I also have the paid version🤷♂️
Have you switched into pro mode? I’m using the free so it’s odd that the free would have more features
