    'Shot in Lightroom, edited in Darkroom'. Am I just a stubborn troll at this point? 😂

    Great video as always,I’ve found that shooting in DNG/HDR within Lightroom,use a lot of your mobile data if you don’t have a mobile WiFi router perhaps

    I used different options for shooting, the one I use more right now is ProFoto and works very well but I stay with Lightroom cause I pay a plan of $20 usd monthly for 1tb on the cloud and works as a third backup of some weddings and proyects I have. I mostly edit everything at Capture One and Lightroom mobile on the go 🤙🏽

      Yeah, there’s lots of reasons to use Lightroom. I used it since version 3 or 4 until very recently and I really do think it’s a phenomenal editing suite.

    I like the leveling feature, it really helps composing and how it's a lot less over processed when compared to the native app. Since I'm a subscriber, I use it for some shots.

    Hello, I use Lightroom camera when I’m not using my iPhone ProRaw. It reduces the noise automatically in the photo. This is in the auto mode. I’m a hobbyist photographer. I’m just interested in getting nice photos...not spend my life editing. I’m quite happy with my results!

    • @David_Addison
      @David_Addison  3 года назад +1

      Nice! 👍 The stock iPhone camera app also reduces noise with HEIC, JPEG and ProRAW.

    David, This is a long shot but do you know if there is a way to preserve your settings when you exit the Lightroom App as it resets every time I close the application so for every photo I have to set it all up again? I think it's a great camera App btw, really simple to use. I tend to shoot in High Contrast B&W . I love your videos, they are right up my street.

    I am very hapy with the LR camera app feature for the reason when I wish to take a photo that I know I will take a good aount of editing time over, or it needs high dynamic range, I use my “real” camera. When I’m travelling, fond memories!, then the ability to import into LRM and edit - from basic to comprehensive - is imprfessive in LRM. I havent seenany other app gthat comes close to LR’s features on the iPad. I do most of my “serious” editing in LR Classic on my iMac. BTW LRM integrates with both. the desktop versions of LR. Just my POV and not disputing your conclsuions. Stay well.

      Yeah, Lightroom CC is a phenomenal product. Especially, as you say, you can edit photos in the same way on a variety of devices without compromise.

    i have an iphone 12 pro max. What application do you recommend for taking long exposure photographs or photographing at night. I see they only offer 1 second per exposure time. Is there any way to extend it?

  • @ArminHirmer

    hahaha did not take one photo with it, but now I will check this HDR mode at least once and see if I like it. Should have some more special features to make it more interesting for me :) well said David

    • @David_Addison
      @David_Addison  3 года назад

      Yeah, I did enjoy its simplicity and there’s nothing ‘wrong’ with it, but there’s a lot missing for it to be what Adobe intends.

    My one advice to both Adobe & Apple:
    Keep ProRAW away from the lightroom dng mode or make it completely switchable as I hate noise reduction, tonemapping & added sharpness being applied on dng files.
    Wish all this was also possible for Prores video too as current Prores video in iphone is heavily tonemapped & noise reduction is completely used that takes away the organic grainy look from the videos😢

    • @jameskropp8033
      @jameskropp8033 Год назад

      One tip that I use often to bypass Apple ProRAW’s image processing is to pick one of Adobe’s profiles and use it and you won’t have any issues.

      It should be in the “edits” tab. The photos should all show there, if not on the top left look for the dropdown menu and they should be in the “unedited” tab. Hope this helps, take care.
