Its cool but not realistic. Bending your bones in 5 seconds and returning to the fight instantly ain't exactly a perfect representation of a healthy lifestyle. That being said, watching yourself being mutilated is tremendously more engaging and interesting to see than a stimpack filled with magic juice

Yeah sadly because of how quick these games are made they basically have little to no time to give it the polish it deserves and just make it acceptable enough to ship out.
This is how I heal myself on a daily basis. Just the other day I stubbed my toe and I had to relocate both my arms leg and neck follow by pulling out a piece of wood that was impaled straight through my chest. Finally I top it off with some good ol bandages.
The odd thing is that this is really simple stuff overall. A very short animation, a few sound files etc. - it’s just not that complicated. They certainly have the manpower to do this and it was such a famous part of the games - I am glad to see that they are bringing them back but they could really do a lot more in that regard.
The old Far cry games were more gruesome, but lacked the reaction from the character like in Far cry 6. I mean, you can't just adjust your leg back to how it was, without screaming a little. But at the end of the day, they're just fun video games. Realism is not that important, what's important is that the player has fun or finds an engaging story.

The animations are really impressive and the guns can even jam, but the gameplay itself is an absolute nightmare. A single example that should make you understand: The map is massive, you're given a car from the very beginning BUT you'll be constantly fighting enemies in mounted turrets while exploring who will always leave your car in a fatal state, not only that, you also have no real minimap, only an actual map that you have to physically look at while driving at 90mph that cover 95% of your screen or a GPS in the car that is so little you never realize where you are going that you end up looking at the actual map anyway, it's realistic yes, but painful in a game. Oh also the camera movement is Dead Rising 1 levels of camera.... Which was horrifying for aiming.

I personally loved spending time getting to a spot on foot, sneaking behind enemies with a machete and finishing them off, lobbing grenades and molotovs, creating total rucus. The fire spread physics was pretty amazing too, and the detail of the foliage too. I have a medium build PC, so I wasn't able to play this game on max gfx, but I am sure it will look better that way.

Lmfao the Mercenary in Far Cry 2 is so hardcore, he can still sprint and slaughter with a twisted leg and a broken arm while he had to pop pills for Malaria. Just to put it all back into place in less than a minute just to go through it again. What a legend.

Far Cry Two still has some of the best animations and such a variety. The immersion in FC2 was amazing as well. You really felt like you were stuck in the jungle with cutthroat enemies at every turn. The fact that the player doesn't make much noise too really shows how badass he is even if it's pretty unrealistic. I enjoyed FC3 and onwards but I always wish they would go back and make a more simple FC2 type game again
And to my surprise, some people hated FC 2. I respect their opinion, but it just goes on to say that they really haven't seen how had FC2 impacted open world games and the entire series altogether.

Everytime I watch Far Cry healing animations, my limbs start to feel funky.
Far Cry 2 took almost as long as all the others combined and the graphics really held up to test of time. That game was ahead of it's time.
