Hi guys!
This is a quick recap video on what happened these past few months while I was working on my first commercial indie game. I hope you'll enjoy watching! - Развлечения
As non-game dev I'm very impressed by your creativity! Keep up the good work! I wish you much success with the game release.
Thanks, that's very nice and encouraging!
I'm following the same Code Monkey tutorial lol. I'm impressed with how you made the game into your own, unique creation. You went through quite a lot to get there, which is admirable. I also like that title screen; that's definitely worth the art cost! Congrats on the feedback and reception you've gotten as well, and congrats on the funding for your next project! You're doing very well as a new dev!
If you'd like a fellow designer's feedback / playtest / second pair of eyes on future projects, feel free to reach out! It'll be interesting to see what you come up with next :)
randomly found this in my recommendations, glad I did. hope I get to play it when the full version comes out
I'm glad you liked it!
Congrats for making so many improvements in this version. In terms of visuals, art and gameplay it has improved a lot, keep it up 😊
Thanks so much!
As a fellow gamedev, this was a fantastic, honest window into the process. Thank you so much for sharing! I'll pass this along to my gamedev community to hopefully inspire some folks. I hope I can get to this point as well some day. All the best and congratulations to you!
This is very nice, well done!
Thats a lot of work done ! congrats
I told you in recent video that I would try your demo, and the hell I did, I got 3hrs in it now nearly every upgrade and items bought. I have 4 maps that I still trying the the best score on (the 3rd score point) Its hard but fun! I´m really excited to play the full release
Wow, thanks so much, you really made my day! I'm so happy you had fun with my game! The full release will be even better with a lot of things added and improved, so stay tuned :)
Thanks again for your really nice comment!
Loved It, You made nice game every time
Amazing Work Elaine, love your creativity!
Thank you!
Great job! You're doing so well!
Thanks a lot!
I really love how you animated the main menu! Congrats for your participation to the Steam Next Fest and for your second game's funding👏
Thanks a lot!
Very cool video, very original twist, the game looks very polished and fun! Hope you get the success your hard work deserve!
Thanks, that's really nice :)
Amazing!!! Well done
Thanks so much!
I'm liking the new visuals. You're skills are impressive! Looking forward to seeing what you're next game looks like.
Thanks so much!
Excellent work
Glad you like it!
You have come such a long way! It’s cool to see how much your game has improved over time. It gives hope to people like me…. Since I’m not an artist I’m scared my games will look bad 😅
Thanks a lot! I understand ah ah, I'm not an artist either and the fear is here 😆
i wish you much success
Thanks!
Impressionnant, bon courage
Merci !
looks great
Thanks!
The game looks awesome
It would be great if you could about the process on how did you get the funding for your next game
love it
well done!
Thank you!
Absolutely! Practice is key to mastering any skill, and when you combine that with creativity, you can achieve extraordinary results. It's the blend of dedication and innovation that often leads to outstanding outcomes.
Nice game mechanisms
Thanks!
I saw the capsule art in a discord awhile ago.. thougjt it looked realy good! Didbt even think it was spawned from code monkeys turorial... Did you learn fully from it? When following i feel like i get lost watxhing it. Like i get whats happening and why, but when it comes time to do it myself I cant.
how could you make all of that only from code monkey's tutorial? I wasn't able to finish it properly and even bought his courses, I didn't finish them yet but from how is it going I guess it's not meant for me. You are brilliant tho, congrats and keep it up!
I just finished the code monkey video tutorial😂 now im surprized with this improved development of such game...
Im wondering, do u develop this alone or with team?
fcking awesome..you have done wonders here/// also i am gonna upload mine too soon,
you could have the main menu have a chance to change the background to the magical area and the room behind it that was previously the magical area, back into the regular one
or it could be an easter egg if you stay on the main menu for a while?
also i dont like how the button outlines become yellowish when you hover over them. doesnt go well with the purple theme
Nice idea, I'll think about that!
For the outlines, I agree with you, the colors still need some work. I found a different color palette that works well and I'll show it in my next devlog!
Vraiment impressionnant !
Tu as bossé dessus pendant 8mois à temps plein ? ou tu as un travail à coté et pendant ton temps libre ?
Merci !
Je bosse sur deux projets en même temps, à temps plein !
Bon travail, I can see you speak french. 😊
I'm also following Code Monkey's tutorial as an amateur. Congratulations on your project.
I have 2 things to ask:
1. On level 3, the camera is on a different angle, is that a feature?
2. Let's say I get 12 souls on a level and spend all of them on upgrades. Next I try to get more souls, but the soul tracker starts counting from 13, not 1. Is that a bug?
I'm looking forward to playing the full version and frankly got inspired by it. I might try to recreate it with my own style (but just for my own heck, I'm not planning to make any games for sale!)
Once again congratulations on your project, keep going!
Hi and thanks for your comment!
The different camera was supposed to be a feature but I'll remove it because I don't really like it.
For the souls, I think it is indeed a bug, the current demo is quite full of them unfortunately ah ah, but I'm working on it and the final game will be released this summer, hopefully without any bug left!
Hi Eliane. I wanted to try out your Demo but it is not working on a UHD Monitor with 3440x1440 res. Your UI does not scale correctly, buttons seems to be missing and there is no keyboard support (esc does not close Setup Screen for example, so i cannot go back to main menu)
Hi, thanks for your message! You're right, UI scaling needs to be reworked so that it supports larger screens, it will be updated :)
i am also following the same codemonkey tutorial! Although i dont have any ideas of how to move on once im done :/
What exactly keeps you doing the work and effort, to learn and design? l like to learn from Code monkey and elsewhere, but I seem to more busy playing games rather than learn.
There benefits, if l am playing new and unique games, l do get lot of idea and l have some but if they never get ultilized, they are useless.
l don't plan to make profit, just learn coding and design games l always imagined.
I don't really play games myself, I just enjoy the process of creating them :) Learning things in itself is already a great goal, you don't have to want to make it profitable, so keep going! :)
@@ElianeGameDev Where l should start exactly? Not related which course, videos to watch. Fundamentally and mentally. How to approach tutorials and your personal test projects after watching said tutorial(their parts or as a whole).
"Almost" is never remembered.
If you watch the video, it says that I published a demo, hence the "almost" :) The full game will be out this summer!
Having played many many hours of Plate Up, your game looks good, even better than plateup... Don't take every bit of criticism people give you.
Thank you so much!
Hey, is there any way to contact you? Discord is very much preferred. I need your assistance with a similar game I am trying to work on. I am a beginner developer.
🎉@codemonkey will be proud of you this looks amazing! Welldone!
