Amazing!! I've been trying to download and configure Windows Server 2019 for days and this was the first video that really broke it down. I was able to follow along with no problem and created my first virtual machine. Thank you so much for sharing your expertise. New subscriber here.
JP, thanks for the Help! this tutorial was very helpful. I had my VM up and running in one take. There were some minor deviations once it loaded and was going through the setup, but they didn't pose a problem. I just worked through them like I normally do when installing an OS. liked and been a subber for about three mos. thnx again!
Thank you from the bottom of my heart. Just started Windows Server 2019 course, and this was my homework. For 3 days I have been tinkering and troubleshooting trying to get this horrible vm to work XD. I have used virtual box which was soooo easy. Watched your video and it fixed all my problems!!! Thank you thank you thank you!
Thank you so much Richard this is a valuable resource for people like me. Excellent video explaining the install, configuration (set up) and a clever way of keeping a copy of Wins Server 2019 using a Checkpoint which will allow users to keep on training on that or any other version into the future. Thanks again.
I have windows server ..I'm running hyper V and trying to install Linux on it .., I've selected 3 gb of ram and 2 cores , I'm trying to install it to a USB 3.O stick (port is also 3.0) ..but it's still not installed after 6 hours ..I can't understand why ?
This is more for just setting up a vm, but if you set up IIS on it or have a linux web server should be able to acces it via its IP Address, I have a full home lab set up here : ruclips.net/p/PLnK11SQMNnE76Zm_iL23v_CBcB0OuK4_K might answer some of those questions more
Ah so I managed to answer my own question in the end. It depends on the networking set up but in my case I just didn't have the right IP because I'm a noob.
The new homelab videos actually cover this exactly to have access to the external internet via a wifi dongle :) heres the link to the playlist: ruclips.net/p/PLnK11SQMNnE76Zm_iL23v_CBcB0OuK4_K
@@NovaAzK Should be able to do it the same way but you have to access the ipv4 setting on that win10 vm via the network configuration under network adapter settings and then right click on the adapter you see and follow the same steps there on out , let me know if that helps
Sometims if you dont eject the ISO file from the disk drive it can boot from it restarting the installations of windows at time if you accident hit a key on the startup of the VM.
Hyper-V is a type 1 hypervisor, Virtual Box is a type 2 hypervisor. Type 1 hypervisors usually perform better than type 2 hypervisors. I like them both though, but I usually run Hyper-V, unless it involves some Linux distributions
This is the most helpful video on RUclips right now to learn how to install Windows Server.
Thank you, glad you're enjoying the videos :)

@@jackedprogrammer that really helps, but that was shown how in WindowsServer, how about if in Win10?

Thanks from France dude
Thank's for your help! But why does Hyper V restart the installation sometimes?
Sometims if you dont eject the ISO file from the disk drive it can boot from it restarting the installations of windows at time if you accident hit a key on the startup of the VM.
Hello
I have a question.
Did your computer restart twice after you enabled hyper v in program and features?
Hi, yes it is normal for it to reboot twice after enabling in program and features
Thank you a lot !
Thanks 👍
Hyper-v > Virtual box definitely
Agreed, much better use of available resources and much more options

Newbie here. I think you’re good but what do I know!? Just a feeling ;)
