    Thats a nice unit. Should hold some power. Those pistons are big money. Rods too.

    How important is the oil sprocket to be in time on a 94 2.3? How would i know if i fudged up

    Looks like CP pistons meant for an Esslinger Aluminum Head.

      That short block did have esslinger head on it is what I was told.

      @@everydayirace they are the same pistons & rods that I run on my 2.3T. Making 420HP to the wheels with those parts. Quality items.

    Great video. What do you think caused the bearing wear?

      Thanks, but I honestly don't know, rod caps were mismatched on rods 1 and 4, and there was a fairly fresh high volume oil pump installed, and then there was an assembly lube 😆, I can speculate but it would be nothing but guessing.

    What happened with the T1/T4 cap issue on the rods?

      I don't know for sure, probably got switched over by an accident after the engine spun bearings if I had to guess.

    This is old but throw away that HV oil pump and use factory
