  • Welcome to The Queerness Diaries! where we will really talk openly and honestly about mental health in the queer community.
This first episode is my story and about how making diaries as a kid evolved into now telling my authentic story and opening it up for the queer community to do the same.
I have had so many guests already record their episodes with me that have been amazing, but as the majority have been gay men I´m really looking for guests from all over the rainbow to join in with their stories to.
Please drop me a message if you feel like joining in, I really want this passion project to get peoples authentic stories out there in a raw, emotionally open safe space.
As someone who lost myself, lost my identity, did not know who I was, and struggled to navigate body dysmorphia and ADHD in the gay world.
Escaping to parties but never filling that void, I realised not talking openly and freely about these things is what makes us often still lonely in our community seeking connection.
Now I am on a path in life where I have figured myself out, I work on my issues, and I better myself daily. I wish I had someone to talk to or listen to when I was 25 in Madrid, navigating my queer identity with no clue who I was, and did anything to find connection whist losing myself year by year, but we go through punishments to grow.
In a society where being a cisgender, heterosexual person is at the epicenter, and the LGBTQ+ community faces prejudice, persecution and ignorance, there is pressure on young people to conform, and leaving a homophobic environment and suddenly being immersed in the gay world of a Madrid, I had no idea what I was doing, I learned, I lost, I grieved, but ultimately I became a stronger person.
In this podcast I hope to get volunteers to talk about their personal stories and different guests every week, we will talk about a variety of topics but some of them include.
