This takes me back to when I first got opentoonz and just binged your tutorials. You're so much better at explaining now 😁👍
Thank you and thanks for watching all these years. Happy animating!
my dumbass lost 3 hours of progress last week cause i didnt know that there was a auto save. Thank you so much
Awesome. About time someone did an updated start guide.
This is awesome!! I wonder if you will be doing any new Tahoma2d starting guide one of these days
This is very comprehensive and concise. Explains all of the important stuff to get started nicely. I haven't touched the node section at all since I find it intimidating, but your video makes me want to reconsider. I also liked that you included the "mistakes" and how to solve them as well. I'd like to add a few more tips for those interested.
At 08:06 if you want to keep an open outline instead of closing the lineart, you can select the colour you want to fill your drawing with to close the outline instead. That way, when you fill in the drawing using the paint bucket, the outline still looks open.
At 13:53 if you want to loop a section of your layers multiple times without having to manually do it yourself: on the timeline's taskbar, on the right of "1's 2's 3's", there are four arrow icons. The first one brings up a sub-menu that allows you to select how many times you want to loop a selected section of your timeline. It'd automatically copy and paste your selection based on the number of loops you requested.
From left to right, those icons means: "loop", "reverse", "swing", "random"
Loop is self-explanatory.
Reverse pastes a copy of your selection in reverse.
Swing both loops and reverses your selection. Think of it like a pendulum, as the icon implies.
Random, randomises the timing of your selections. I believe it also randomises the order of your keyframes but I'm too lazy to confirm.
That's what I was looking for... I'm trying Krita animation but the way union skin works on opentoonz is better for my understanding.
Man this video will help me a lot in using Opentoonz correctly
Also SECOND
can you make a detailed tutorial for FX nodes in Opentoonz🙏
love your video , pls continue the series explaining all the features
I've really been interesting in fx with this software. this simple tutorial was so helpful. thank you 😊
😍👌🏼✨ this tutorial is a masterclass ❤
U have put out a lot of content over the years that have been really beneficial to many people. This video is truly outstanding & extremely helpful to someone like myself who at times, may feel a little overwhelmed trying to gain competency or a sense of understanding in order to establish a productive workflow to build from w/ a program like OpenToonz. I am grateful to U for this video & I thank U for all of the valuable content that U have put out on this channel.
Thanks alot
Good job! :)
Thanks so much for this, Sebastian! I really appreciate it. I'm also animating a story as as well for youtube and utilizing OpenToonz. I would always go back and watch all of your tutorials a bunch of times. Glad to see that you've gotten more confident in your skill as an animator. I wish I could have a slower, more instrustinal way to make backgrounds, midgrounds, and foregrounds. Also more character art as well. Sorry for rambling. I'm making my own animated adult series and I'm doing this by myself. It's a lot of work. especially since I've written and rewritten the script several times over the years. :(
This video helpful me
Great video really helped me lot...can you share how to animate a charecter or a full sequence like 1)story boarding 2)making it smooth + clean up 3)colouring it would be reallly helpfull for us to understand the program🩹
Hopefully this doesn't destroy my projects anymore.
It's gotten a lot more stable, but if you really want to avoid problems don't use the vector layers. Heck I haven't used them in so long they may have improved while I wasn't looking.
Thank you sir for all lessons ❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤
Thanks for this video tutorial how does opentoonz compare to greasepencil 2. ?
Super :) Bone??
How to connect the lines from different levels like clip studio paint for easy filling with color
👏👏👏👏
Hi, is it possible to duplicate an existing animation Column timings, without the actual drawings on it?
thank you soo much im beginner im learning animation from your video's but im stuck at certain level i created a animation it took me 10 column's i downloaded ffmpg after rendering, out of 10 column only a single column is visible in MP4 video rest of the columns i drew are disappeared from the mp4 i did every basic thing to solve. like unhiding the columns and eye button out put settings are perfect ... nothing worked can you please tell me how i can solve this issue what would have happed ?
does CSP have that feature where it automatically adds a new frame when you draw? cuz omg the amount of times i've drawn a billion drawings on the same frame is unfathomable😭
Wow this software has a lot of potential, looks to be designed towards teams, I tried it and I saw it has tweens, like flash, can you make a tutorial about that? I want to know if it is possible to ease the tweens, pleaseeeee
yo is this pen display good for lineart (professional use case)? i'm also a frame by frame animator and i'm considering buying this to boost my efficiency, but i head bad things about the screen resolution being low for the size so you waste time zooming in and out to fix lines
Sebastien can you tell the difference going to the new 16,384 levels of pressure in this *Artist 22 Plus* vs the old 8,192? And how's the parallax on this one?
Thanks for this vid.
Ah, nvm.
_The screen and display panel are seamlessly laminated to avoid parallax errors between the stylus nib and_
_cursor, precisely positioning every single one of your strokes. The anti-glare matte film effectively reduces the_
_screen glare and eye strain for more focused creation._
is anyone else facing Opentoonz Crash Unexpectedly error in 1.7.1 version on startup?
Okay
I’ve been debating if I should switch from blender to opentoonz. Both have similar tools so I’m a bit indecisive.
From my viewpoint, I see that a skillset using Blender may have more longevity. Opentoonz is my favorite 2D animation software. But Blender changes the very fabric in which 2d animation is sewn. Now it's just "Animation". Whether 2D or 3D is up to you. I continue to use both all all of my devices because their free! Happy animating.
@@NobleFrugal that’s a good way to put it, thanks!!
Is it free?
It always crashes
I'm 'the 400th 👍'!!!!
