    Hi everyone! ❤️ This map was submitted on discord by Than, it's a map they made using the map generator I released: Fantasy World Engine. Than set the plate simulation to be very short, which created these interestingly shaped continents. How will civilizations develop on this kind of a world? Let's find out!
    I'm still super busy with IRL responsibilities, and will remain that way for the next month. So aside from the interesting world map nothing significantly different with the simulator itself here. I've been watching some videos and streams of old RPG games though, which has made me super hyped about working on the World Explorer this summer. I've got some new ideas which I hope will make even the first version already pretty interesting! 😁🤞
    And as always, thanks so much for watching, liking, and subscribing everybody!!! ❤️

    Grand Order of Piivaraq returning was epic! Long live the Order!

      Yeah! I noticed at first because it seemed to be one of the first notable non-monarchies to hang out in the top three, and was cool to see it stick around so long and all its ups and downs.

      @@marieerichsen Yeah, exactly! And the reason a bunch of other Order's popped up in the same area afterwards is because of Piivaraq's influence. When it conquered everything it made local polities adopt its government, which then lasted well after Piivaraq lost those conquests. 😁

      Oh wow, I didn't know the cultural/governmental influence also had effects on that level. That's really neat!

      @@FWHSimulator really neat! This simulator is the best I’ve seen so far, you’ve really put attention to detail.

    I wonder if you left this running for long enough; would one country eventually emerge and unite the entire planet?

    • @FWHSimulator
      @FWHSimulator  Месяц назад +4

      Prooobably. Primarily because of the way modernization/industrialization (white technology on the bar and on the map) is designed to have really large effects on population and power, on the basis of it normally never spreading all that far before the simulation ends. If you'd just let it run forever, there's no mechanic to stop or hamper explosive industrial growth in a realistic manner, so you'd end up with one nation eventually conquering the world and be more or less unstoppable.
      The simulation also runs really slow at that point though, so it'd take like a week of constantly running it to get it to that point. 😂

      @@FWHSimulatormake it so that nations with similar culture can adapt each other's tech level more easily.

      @@NeoWish That's already how it works, actually! Cultural similarity is a big factor in technology spreading. That's what you're seeing on the the Civilization map in the 4-way-split at the end. 👍❤

    I just realised that the capital region of the Archeparchy of Wadaydh is Makka, which in real life is the capital city of Saudi Arabia, is this a coincidence?

      The name generation system is designed to mimic real world languages. It uses lists of real world words and names as a base, which means it will also sometimes generate actual real world words and names. So the answer to your question is "yes and no." No, it's not a coincidence that the simulation created Arabic-sounding names and that some of these ended up being real world names. Arabic is one of the several dozen languages the simulation uses to generate names. But yes, it is a coincidence that this particular name showed up at that particular place and time. It's not meant to be an actual reference to the real world place in any way!
      Hope that answers your question 👍
