Thanks for this great post! The acoustic guitar twang (detuned a full step) gives the song an entirely new feel, it sounds like an Ennio Morricone song. Awesome!
I though "Nokie and Friends" was recorded in 1994, not 1995. As far as I know, the Japanese version of the album contains the song "Walk, Don't Run '94", but I am not 100% sure, because I have the US version myself. In 1995 Nokie released another album though: "Celebration". Since Nokie was born in 1935, you'll realise that Nokie's 60th birthday happened in 1995. I always liked the fret-less bass in this song. I actually recorded my own version after borrowing a fret-less bass from a friend.
