Tony Joe White is one hell of a swamp funk bluesman. One of the best during his era and never got the recognition that he deserved. With his talent he should have been on top of the world. I thought that he was much better than Eric Clapton.
He’s superior to Clapton. But he’s SO good it seems completely effortless. An amazing talent. Notice-there is no rhythm guitarist because TJW is playing both parts!!
Also Tina Turner did Steamy Windows & Undercover Agent for the Blues & Brooke Benton did Rainy Night in Georgia . Mark Knofler from Dire Straits played with him & you can hear Tony’s style in the guitar playing at times
Three hundred pounds of hongry Down to her house every Sunday Boil them taters and butter them buns Licking that grease right off her thumbs Three hundred pounds, as tall as she's round Every pound of her body's so fine I can hardly believe that she's mine Hey, how that three hundred pounds do amaze me When she gets down in the gravy by God almighty, what a soulful groove When she gets down on that barbecue Three hundred pounds, as tall as she's round And every pound of her body's so fine I can hardly believe that she's mine, woo woo woo woo Everybody asks me why Do you love a woman that's twice your size Well, don't you know it's the bigger the better That three hundred pounds sho'nuf got it all together Love that lard, getting those grits Lovin' her more, the bigger she gets Now let yourself go, you big old thing Don't you know I don't care if you weighs a ton Long as I can butter them buns, wo woo woo Three hundred pounds, as tall as she's round

Three hundred pounds of hongry
Down to her house every Sunday
Boil them taters and butter them buns
Licking that grease right off her thumbs
Three hundred pounds, as tall as she's round
Every pound of her body's so fine
I can hardly believe that she's mine
Hey, how that three hundred pounds do amaze me
When she gets down in the gravy
by God almighty, what a soulful groove
When she gets down on that barbecue
Three hundred pounds, as tall as she's round
And every pound of her body's so fine
I can hardly believe that she's mine, woo woo woo woo
Everybody asks me why
Do you love a woman that's twice your size
Well, don't you know it's the bigger the better
That three hundred pounds sho'nuf got it all together
Love that lard, getting those grits
Lovin' her more, the bigger she gets
Now let yourself go, you big old thing
Don't you know I don't care if you weighs a ton
Long as I can butter them buns, wo woo woo
Three hundred pounds, as tall as she's round
I've never heard a man ask for a skinny steak
They always want thick and juicy
❤️💟❤️
Once everyday life becomes impossible you'll be about as active as a steak though and then what?
You ain't wrong!
Written by the late, great Donnie Fritts and Eddie Hinton.
