Its a crime and a sin that this man doesn't get more credit for being one of the best musicians ever. Im only 26 im aware of the spectrum of music. This dudes the man.
RIP - Swamp Fox This is one of the most underrated songs of his! The first one I ever heard of his on my mom’s eight track player when I was about 5....
He played this earlier this year in Ferriday, La. at the blues festival. I had a great time love this f'n music. This of course would be unacceptable on any radio station today thanks for the post.
Not only was he great composer, artist, guitarist bbut hell, this is obviously satire on other singer-songwriters as Willie Nelson,Waylon Jennings & Chris Kristofferson-he's using all 3 of their trademark styles.

He loved woman! He memorializes them in song after song.
I'd never heard of this man until reading the Sept 2011 issue of Vintage Guitar and instantly gravitated to his music.

I noticed he has his harp upside down in the rack. I guess he likes it like that.
Some really great players play that way. Paul Butterfield comes to mind
