Most people who don't have eyes to see can't grasp just how special Lost was. It encapsulated so many of the mysteries , linked to so many occulted things from humanity to technology it's crazy. For those who have eyes to see it's a goldmine of allegory and I think it should be regarded as one of the best things to ever be put out there on the black mirrors.

And the most important i think that this man had the worst and miserable life before planecrush among all others on the island. And cause of it he could feel and see what the other could not or did not want.

When people complain about Lost and specifically about how the ending "sucked", it's clear they never got the show at all:
If by the end you're disappointed the show never explained how the (foot of the) statue got on the island, you completely missed the point.
Lost has always been about the characters. All the mysteries are just the backdrop against which these characters develop. At its core, it's more a character driven drama than anything else.

I don't know if the writers had planned his character that far but knowing Locke's end that line is, just, wow. Didn't care for Sawyer, Charlie or Micheal(although even they had some good moments). Didn't care that much for the females strangely enough(considering I am one lol). They were just written badly imo. Juliet and Sun(even though I had a few issues with what happened with Jin in flashbacks) I liked okay. Clair could get on your nerves a bit. Kate I just didn't like at all much.

It’s pretty much impossible for two people to ever relate or change their worldview when they are this far apart on the spectrum of science/logic vs faith/destiny. One has spent his entire adult life in the most science-based and evidence-based and technical field in the world.
The other had paralyzed legs for years and is now walking around. And the only available explanation for his recovery is that he was in a plane crash.
And this difference in beliefs is a slam dunk for writing really interesting conflicts, like this scene.
How can you choose to not agree with a science genius doctor?
But how can you choose to not agree with a paralyzed guy who now has working legs.

@WilhelmRyan815 the walt and pregnant storyline is very important in the final season. Not directly, but there significance and what they represet are.
Why women die while pregnant is directly related to the source.
And to be special like Walt means you are the natural candidate for protector. MiB was also "special" like Walt. Thats why Mother wanted Mib to be protector.
I can go into more detail, but thats the basic in how everything in lost connects.

and the funny thing Locke was right when Jack does believe in Destiny cause he said it himself later on when he wanted to blow the island to change the paste

-_- I watched this show for like 4 seasons when I was a kid and I got sick of the little twists and cliffhangers at the end of every single episode. I felt like my brain was gonna explode. Lost was a perfect show for making money, it kept you glued to the couch for the entire episode and through the commercials until the next scene where something crazy would happen that would have you coming back to that same spot on the couch next week.. I just got tired of it, id still like to know what it is

    Question with spoilers!!!!
    Isn’t John a candidate?
Meaning the black smoke wouldn’t be able to harm him?
Or did that rule only start after Jacob died?

@177166t Well yeah, but do you think without The Island the plane would've crashed BEFORE the hatch imploding into itself. I'm no expert, but when there is a bunch of electromagnetism going crazy what would be destroyed first? The hatch right on top of the pocket of electromagnetism, or the plane 25,000 - 30,000 feet in the air?

Why did John never tell Jack he was in a wheelchair? Did he think he wouldn’t believe him?

Locke was right, the island brought them there. Jacob was just a puppet, the island was the true master pulling all the strings. It pulled those strings to protect itself..... thats what I believe.

No it's pretty explicitly jacob that brought them there. Like, straight from the showrunners mouths.

Just like boone was a sacrifice. Locke was a sacrifice to get Jack to believe and ultimately jack died to save the world

Boone died to keep John from dying. John needed to keep nudging Jack along, John needed to make the Island disappear so that Jack would witness it and know that the impossible, the truly impossible happened. Boone's death made the rest of it possible. And Charlie died so that Desmond would live. Desmond needed to be the failsafe.

Dark shirt locke is bad. Its why the smoke monster had him by his dead legs trying to drag him down that hole

Locke was the goat. This show dropped the ball on a lot of things. I don’t hate the ending but the studio forced the writers to drag the show out instead of having a concise narrative.
This show opens so strong. Then in the middle it meanders and doesn’t match the same quality as the first act. It was carried by the great cast near the end.

There is no such thing as Destiny really.
Its like Locke says right at the end of the show season 6 episode 16:
Locke: "What if this is happening for a reason, what if you're supposed to fix me"
Jack: "Mr Locke I want to fix you, but I think you're mistaking coincidence for fate"
Locke: "You can call it whatever you want, but I think im ready to get out of this chair"
Destiny, fate, island plans... its all the same thing, you can call it whatever you want
