This was shot at a studio in New Jersey for Top of The Pops. I worked this shoot and yes, both Dido and Eminem performed live (not lip sync.) Dido was super sweet to work with and Eminem tried to keep the mood light but some didn't get his sense of humor.
This was on german channel "RTL" in January 2001. Stan was no. 2 on german single charts that day, reaching no. 1 in the following week. Great performance!

I'm having a hard time matching these too up. I'm assuming they are friends. It's definitely different. Yet I do like Eminem's voice when he speaks. And Dido, I have her haircut, and also I like her laidback singing style, very cool.
@@thedude4795 depends on the era. Post 1991 it was maybe 60% live. In the 70s maybe 50% live vocals and the 80s they didnt really allow anything live maybe 10% was live. Instruments were never live untill about 1994

Other thsn that I don’t know of any others. Oh actually Whitney Houston. She didn’t used to mime at all really. So she insisted. Martha’s harbour did sing live once but only because they had sound issues and couldn’t get the pre recorded vocal to work.
Its full of emotion though, No energy as it's an emotional one not energetic. the last verse, he is really feeling it like when he says drowsy he looks up and shakes head and dream while eyes close. You must the point of the song and performance.

You mean lip sync? Totp was often live singing. Go have a look on RUclips. Not every time but maybe 50-50
