Also the whole "fence" thing is reference to "The Children of the Fence" (cotf) it's a lore point in the story and just what we fans refer to ourselves as.
I got super excited when I saw my comment, thought I was going to be the one to get you further down the rabbit hole. Hope you keep going, and I still recommend listening to all those songs on your own. Take care!
Oh man just saw this video, had no idea you'd read my comment! DGD is a little different, they employ a clean and unclean vocalist, so it may be a bit grating if you're unused to it. I know I didn't care for it at first but everything else about the band drew me in until I started to really dig the uncleans. As far as recs go, I think We Own The Night is their most well known and accessible, but a recent personal favorite of mine is Holy Ghost Spirit. They have had three different vocalists so it's hard to recommend sometimes. Depending on the vocalist, may sound like a totally different band lol. Case in point, Don't Tell Dave is a great one.
Great video. Excited to see the journey. As for the drummer. The original and current drummer Josh Eppard did leave the band for some time due to substance abuse issues, he's been back for a long time now and does talks about his struggles. During his leave the band had the late Taylor Hawkins record with them on the 4th album, and Chris Penne drummed for them for a small time. The original bassist was removed halfway thru the discography due to personal problems, and the current bassist Zach Cooper is awesome and also now beloved by the "Children of The Fence" (The reference of what we call ourselves comes from the songs Everything Evil and In Keeping Secrets of Silent Earth: 3, and is connected to the bands logo "The Keywork") As far as song recs I think you'll like more than Blood Red Summer (classic hit of theirs, however their singles are the more poppy standard structure songs): Prologue/The Dark Sentencer Domino The Destitute Ladders of Supremacy Gravity's Union
Welcome to The Fence my dude. You got a long wild journey ahead of you. And I'm here for it. I love watching coheed reaction videos. It's like sharing something you love with a friend. Oh and yeah you definitely need to look into dance gavin dance too
Keep the Coheed reactions coming! I would also recommend checking out "The End is Begun" by 3, the singer/guitarist is the brother of Coheed's drummer. It's a bit more prog-metal and amazing.
If you want songs that follow traditional radio-style paths look at a few from the newer album, Beautiful Losers, Shoulders, The Liar’s Club They could all be radio hits Very cool to see someone mention Billy Talent lol I’m from just north of Toronto!
Stoked to see you getting into Coheed. Ive been a huge fan since 2004. Ive seen them live 35+ times now and everytime is more amazing than the last. I would suggest trying out some of their live performances. This is one of my personal favorites ruclips.net/video/AApRjNmkT80/видео.html Keep up the awesome vids!
The Crowing by Coheed & Cambria!! One of my favorite songs from them for sure

Thanks. Time is at a premium right now. They are now firmly atop my concert goals along with King Gizzard

Coheed got me into the dear hunter
I saw that movie on showtime when I was 11. I thought it would be like Rambo. I was wrong

Hey, I grew up in Keswick, just north of TO on Lake Simcoe. Can still smell algae on the Maskinonge river when I close my eyes on a sunny day.

Thank you! 35 times, that’s Phish level dedication. 🫡 thanks for the live video- might be my next CC venture
next step if you want another song:
Sentry the defiant
the crowing
cuts marked in the march of men
gravities union
delirium trigger
Stupid goddamn algorithm.
I missed a new Coheed reaction!?
Also, Dance Gavin Dance is dope as well.
Did the link to the uncut reaction get removed? I dont see it in the description
At first I cut the song part down. RUclips allowed it. Then they blocked the whole thing. Bummer
