- MeTV Toons is launching TOMORROW! With the request and reception of the last video, I decided to do a follow up video, with all the information you need to know about MeTV’s new classic animation channel, MeTV Toons! MeTV Toons is bringing a lot of cartoons and hidden gems that we remember from our childhood! MeTV looks to be launching a brand new channel, MeTV Toons! MeTV Toons will air a lot of the classic cartoons like Looney Tunes, Betty Boop, Tom & Jerry and Speed Racer to even some hidden underrated gems like Freakazoid, Johnny Quest, Krypto The Superdog and Duck Dodgers!

I can't wait to see classic 2D cartoons on TV again! I remember being one of the last kids to watch real Saturday morning cartoons, specifically the Vortexx block on the CW (even more specifically Sonic X and Spectacular Spider-Man). I'm glad Weigel is giving rep to some classic anime shows like Speed Racer and Marine Boy!
So excited for this! I already signed up for Frndly TV (since I don't have cable anymore) so I'm ready for tomorrow!

Decades ago, my brother and sister and I were sad when Dad copied over hours of old Saturday Morning cartoons with pro-wrestling. Now, I don't have to wake up before sunrise.
I know how you feel, had the same thing happen to with my cousin who decided to tape motorcycle tricks. But I'm glad you can watch Saturday Morning Cartoons everyday at any hour now

From some of the promos I've seen, it looks like not only are they the original cartoons but with the original openings(that hasn't been seen in years) . I own Speed Racer on dvd, and the set I have has a slightly altered opening sequence. Everything is pretty much the same except that "racer" is underneath the word "Speed". I saw a promo with it read from right to left as I remembered it originally. It begs the question(in my mind) will the Flintstones still have the " Rise and shine" theme in the first two seasons like metv does, or will this station play the opening sequence that was distributed during it's first run in syndication....we'll know tomorrow. I'm not sure if I will, I live in Hudson, Florida, my provider is Spectrum and I don't see this channel listed as of yet.
I can't wait I'm from the Dayton area and I had to call my local affiliate to see if we can get it and they said that they would look into it immediately they look into it call me back and told me that yes we will be able to add the network it's coming in as a whole new channel in the Dayton area and I'm really really excited. I love how it's not going to be like a marathon a cartoon it's going to be updated almost every week

i am soo excited i am goin to try and stay up till midnight cant waite my tablo is set up to go just baught it and yes i have a flat antenna and i get over 100 chanells on the tablo.

it's Christmas in June! and actually halfway to Christmas, June 25th, exactly six months, 183 days since last Christmas and 183 days until this coming Christmas.
I can't even get Metv on my indoor antenna but I do get it on Spectrum cable. So I really HOPE that Spectrum adds Metv Toons.🙏
Hopefully they will too and if there's any info, I'll make sure to keep you updated
I would love to feel like I'm watching classic cartoons on CN/TNT/TBS back in the mid-late 90's again, and seems Weigel may be about to recreate more of that magic. And the mentions of the Terrytoons library has me very optimistic. I'll be like watching the USA Network Cartoon Express back in the early-mid 90's again.

I was all excited for this especially after finding it's going to be available in my area!!! ...only to find that my stupid antenna won't pick up the channel no matter how many times I rescan. No way am I paying for another subscription service to watch this. :(
You might have to move your antenna to get the channel
Maybe try what @Tee833 said, sometimes you have to move antenna to get more channels
@@JaceTheDon i found out it’s currently only available via TDS (whatever the heck that is) and frndly. I don’t want to pay for a channel that’s meant to be free ☹️

You might have to re Scan cable.
But I ONLY have Spectrum as my CABLE TV provider and I believe they don't even HAVE a Cable Channel for it even AFTER Tomorrow AT ALL.

But what channel? I don't have cable, and I only get like a few channels. Cartoon Network and Nickelodeon are not on the list.
I give this about a year until it goes away.
By that time, everyone will have realized that the greater majority of their library is already on physical DVD and Blu-Ray physical media or on streaming sites and what streaming sites don't have them, is available on non-legal cartoon piracy sites, and that when people realize that MeTV Toons has absolutely no original programming, nor will it ever, and that outside of Looney Tunes and Tom and Jerry and a few other classics from the golden age that most of their programming is the 80's cartoon equivalent of cheap saturday morning shovelware, and the entire channel will fade out quickly once people's hype dies down and they realize that they have better options to watch what they have, and will crave more originals that they don't have.
You do realize that this a channel, right? You wrote this entire book and made zero sense.

That's an interesting thought, we could see some original intros and openings like when they first aired and hopefully you'll get the channel in your location sooner rather than later
