Wow, there are some negative comments here. Demanding this or that in the line up, demanding different bumpers or something else. Guys, give the channel room to grow and evolve. I am thrilled with the channel. It made my Frndly TV subscrption well worth it. As far as people wishing they had other cartoons-they will expand the line up over time. They have access to a TON of cartoons and will be growing the line up. Just be patient and enjoy the ride!

There's this one guy on RUclips endlessly cursing in his videos expressing how overly sour he is about not getting MeTV Toons, and he's even saying he has bad luck with everything in his *life* after not getting the channel.
I saw an ad for one of the low cost streaming apps saying they were adding this channel for no extra charge. There was a surprising number of people in the comments that were mad because they didn't offer sports like every other similar app.
The channel is incredible. In a time where animation has been taken over by greedy, corporate and soulless out of touch business people, we definitely needed this channel. I think it'll inspire future animators, I hope it's very successful. I can't wait to get it.
Its been a long time that i have been excited to watch tv when i get home glad this channel came i feel like a kid excited to watch my favorite shows 😀
I setup an indoor antenna today. Originally only got 4 channels on the first scan without Me TV Toons, but once I moved it a foot to the left I got 19 channels including Me TV Toons. Last scan gave me 26 channels.
It makes sense why there wasn't some big launch celebration as it launched as a work in progress with an incomplete affiliate list and/or places it airs on
Even frndy TV had a glitch, it was suppose to be on the grid to start DVR recordings on the 24th, in many areas it didn't go live till 10 am or later. In South Colorado the feed didn't start till after 3pm, west coast like Washington state it was later. Pretty good line up. Only complaint, the Colorado Springs affiliate of METV decided to hold off getting it at all and kept there 2 hr block of my network TV that been a flop in our area of south Colorado.
Apparently getting MeTV Toons is still too much to ask my luck. Apparently getting to watch vault cartoons on broadcast television for the first time is still too much to even ask Frndly TV.
I heard you talk about glitching you probably already know this but try sticking the antenna to the wall with it facing the window that has helped me a lot and MeTV tunes just popped up on my TV after I did a channel scan today before it had not came in for like a week
I tried, and it didn't work since the window in my room faces away from the transmitter. Also the metal in the walls is possibly interfering with the signal.
5:16 Update: It turns out that the episodes do mostly air in order, but the guide on Philo says the wrong episodes. I feel bad for spreading misinformation.
Legit hopes this does well to broadcast outside of america, I'd love to watch it locally! From what footage shown here and from what I heard, it's giving me strong early cartoon network and fox kids vibes. Channels I watched so much I could tell you each episode from the shows that were on, to this day! Especially the 4 fun foxkids intermissions where they show you going through a videogame in 1st person to get to the next episode or series; really missed when they put in effort like that! (The minecart one was my favourite, especially when it came on before donkey kong country!)
I've seen many people from Canada, Latin America, and the UK commenting that they want MeTV Toons to come to their country. Sadly Weigel, owner of the channel, has no operations outside the US
I’m enjoying this channel since the day it aired. My whole family has watched it since day one. I can guarantee that this channel will last for several years without a doubt. I especially enjoy watching Casper and company, rocky and bullwinkle, the mask, beetlejuice, and Mr Magoo.
my affiliate (wlwt) just announced for some stupid reason they flatout just wont air metv toons, even though they literally have a spare channel slot ive been waiting for this all summer and now i know i cant have it because whoever runs my affiliate sucks

The problem is that no one are paying attention to the Steven Spielberg Warner Bros and Amblin Entertainment collaborated animated series of the 90's. Sure Tiny Toons has a reboot which airs on Cartoon Network and on HBO Max and that Animaniacs had a reboot on Hulu, the ORIGINAL Tiny Toons and Animaniacs shows didn't air on TV for the last 9 or 8 years since Cartoonito, the Hub and Teletoon Retro all stopped airing them. Either this channel or Boomerang or both should bring back them to broadcast television
FrndlyTV and Philo currently are the only places sorta like that that are broadcasting the channel for me I use FrndlyTV cause it's far cheaper then Philo, which is at 26 dollars a month.
According to the website, the channel will be coming to my market OTA on July 9th. It’s gonna be on a low power station, but luckily I get it and reception is good. Also even my state’s biggest city doesn’t have it.
Hope my market gets it soon. I live in a major area and get everything else. Will I subscribe to get it? No, I have enough paid streaming already, but I have a good antenna setup and OTA DVR so you betcha I'm picking it up OTA once I can.

I’m not surprised though cause where I live here in Arkansas I don’t get many channels on my antenna anyway, some of them got taken away for some reason idk why though. All I know is having an antenna and also having streaming services like Netflix, Disney+ and etc., are better than cable cause cable cost too much lol.
I got it in my local area. It's nice seeing the classic golden age shorts (Especially since some of the more adult humor is left intact), but they take up a large lot of the prime schedule hours, which may make them burn out very fast. Well, it could be worse, since I remember CN playing Scooby Doo non-stop until I got sick of it much like how they do Teen Titans Go now. Way too many of the things I'd want to watch are either on too late at night, or only once a week. I can't expect to stay up at 1am every night for Speed Racer. Even MTV aired it earlier than that! And the 80's cartoon block will drag on forever with the same shows, considering how many 80's toons had 65 episode minimums. This is frustrating when the 80's were my cartoons and there's a lot of them unaccounted for. I also feel like there is a big missed opportunity on a proper "action cartoon" block. It feels like there are enough shows present to work with that they could do it. (Johnny Quest, Speed Racer, Captain Planet, Ghostbusters, Mr. T, Gobots..) but they seemed to scatter them about or use them on the 80's block instead.

What would they end up doing with other shows with triple-digit episode counts?
Me TV Toons in Denver Colorado, is on channel 3.8. Yes, 8 channels on that one!!! I currently do not have a TV in my home at the moment. I'll be waiting for it to show up on either Samsung TV+ or Pluto TV
And also, in 2004, Howie Mandel bought the rights to the show, and Splash Entertainment also owns the distribution rights to it. And if MeTV Toons actually does air it, then it would be the first time since 2001 that the show has aired on TV! (Ugh... 😬)

@@ArtieRaccoonReviews it might have been more trouble then it's worth. For example when the WWE started their own streaming service some of the cable companies tried refusing to carry their monthly pay per view if they didn't shut their app down.
Even if the lineup's great, I just can't get past the bumpers. I don't care if they "get the job done," they can do better. The ones from CN and Boomerang were so memorable that people still mention them to this day, these do not have that kind of staying power.
My affiliate, KJYY-LD, for some reason didn't carry it the first day. Don't know why, maybe it was technical difficulties on their end? (because I know it wasn't my fault since I was able to get their other subchannels) Anyways, the next day I did one more channel rescan and they were finally carrying it. Side note: Why are the majority of affiliates the low-powered channels? Are the big companies like Nexstar just not a big fan of classic cartoons or what?

Funny, I have Xfinity in Atlanta and I only get just MeTv and not their sister station. I'm already pissed for Xfinity not getting METV Toons on the day it was launched. I just have to wait until whenever and hope Xfinity will pick it up by December.😢

i liked it. some of those infomercials remind me of summers in the very early 2010s at my grandmas house watching nickelodeon.

I can't even get Metv with my antenna, so I was really hoping Metv Toons would go to Spectrum but it didn't. Also I don't want to pay $8.00 for Friendly tv just to get 1 channel. 😡

Hope MeTV toons expands to other ways to broadcast. Otherwise the premier feels like a middle finger to cartoon fans.
It's available through a few streaming apps as well.
They really could've planned ahead a lot better. It's not available on any cable providers and only on select MeTV affiliates.
@@ArtieRaccoonReviews it might have been more trouble then it's worth. For example when the WWE started their own streaming service some of the cable companies tried refusing to carry their monthly pay per view if they didn't shut their app down.

Even if the lineup's great, I just can't get past the bumpers. I don't care if they "get the job done," they can do better. The ones from CN and Boomerang were so memorable that people still mention them to this day, these do not have that kind of staying power.

My affiliate, KJYY-LD, for some reason didn't carry it the first day. Don't know why, maybe it was technical difficulties on their end? (because I know it wasn't my fault since I was able to get their other subchannels) Anyways, the next day I did one more channel rescan and they were finally carrying it.
Side note: Why are the majority of affiliates the low-powered channels? Are the big companies like Nexstar just not a big fan of classic cartoons or what?
General MeTV is on WKRG 5.3 and WKRG and WFNA are owned by Nexstar.
Nexstar and Sinclair are anti-animation and they support the lame Litton blocks literally nobody cares about.

Old guy here, 21-22 hours of trash. When cartoons started becoming ugly drawings with older discussions. I expected at least an hour or so of Johnny Quest, Space Ghost, old DC or Marvel cartoons, etc…. Instead, Inspector Gadget, Ghost busters, Alf, etc…. All bovine waste

Funny, I have Xfinity in Atlanta and I only get just MeTv and not their sister station. I'm already pissed for Xfinity not getting METV Toons on the day it was launched. I just have to wait until whenever and hope Xfinity will pick it up by December.😢
