- MeTV Toons is a new classic cartoon channel on over the air TV owned by Weigel Broadcasting and Warner Bros. Discovery. Here are my thoughts on the channel and the shows including what improvements they can do to make the channel better. One of my local stations which is my CBS and Fox station will be carrying this channel on 44.5 so maybe I will be able to watch the launch and tape the launch on my DVD Recorder to post on my TV archive channel.

The area that I am from (Kansas City, MO) is supposed to be getting a MeTV Toons affiliate, however it will be on a low power TV station (KGKC-LD, Ch. 39) which has a bad signal where I am at (Carrollton, MO, which is about 60mi Northeast of Kansas City, MO.).
I had to get a subscription to FrndlyTV to be able to watch MeTV Toons.
From what I've heard, all cartoon shows, including Toon In with Me, being shown on MeTV+ will move to MeTV Toons when that channel launches.
Try Watching "A better schedule for Nickelodeon's main block" by Evan Rosman.
I might watch that or make a reaction video to that on my second channel if you want. Thanks for the suggestion.
One of my other online friends is a big MeTV fan and was pretty hyped for the coming out of this channel. I wonder what he thinks of it now.
I grew up watching Smurfs' Adventures as they aired syndicated on WDCA 20 in Washington, D.C., the USA Network's USA Cartoon Express, Cartoon Network, Boomerang, and The Incredible World of DIC Kids Network package.
Also I grew up watching Inspector Gadget (reruns on Nickelodeon in the late 80's/early 90's, and again in the late 90's/early 00's, CBS on Saturday Mornings for a brief comeback in the early 90's, WTAT-TV Fox 24 in South Carolina here in the early 90's, The Family Channel in the early/mid 90's, Fox Family Channel/ABC Family in the early 00's, and Starz Encore Family in the mid 2010's).

I hate to be the guy to point this out, but you are younger than the demographic that MeTV and now Toons shoots for. 🤣🤣 This means 90s cartoons are pretty much a no go. And judging by their huge success with Toon In With Me and MeTV in general, people don't want Cartoon Network 2.0.
I'm not asking for a Cartoon Network 2.0 but you can't always have just retro stuff and it would get repetitive over time. Not everyone who watches are going to boomers and Gen X people who are already in their 50s. That's why we would like a variety of different shows other than what they already have. There is already some shows from the 90s and 2000s that will be on this channel so I don't see why not because a lot of those shows haven't aired on broadcast TV in 15-20 years or never aired outside cable or satellite at all.

@@Sometopcatfan01 What I mean by that is soon all of the shows will be done with reruns and you would have to reair them if there isn't a different variety on a different day. You can only do so much having a channel with just the same shows and that can't last forever. MeTV for example airs the same shows every day and that's why there should be a different schedule for different days. That's my point.

No CN Nickelodeon and Disney cartoons sorry
I hoped they add the og Powerpuff girls, Kids next door, edd ed and Eddie and many 90s and early 2000s shows
That would be if MeTV would do a third channel called MeTV3 for modern kids today who grew up watching Disney Channel,Cartoon Network, and Nickelodeon shows.
I don't think MeTV or Weigel should make another channel for that, it won't kill them to add more 90s cartoons like Batman TAS, Superman TAS, Animaniacs and Tiny Toon Adventures on MeTV Toons including the older Cartoon Network stuff. They are old enough to be considered retro or vintage and they would fit since MeTV does sometimes air shows from the 90s and early 2000s.
80s cartoons and some 90s cartoons do air on MeTV Toons as well so I don't see why not.

I don't know if MeTV or MeTV Toons will expand to Latin America but at one point MeTV aired their syndicated shows in Spanish so maybe they can air Spanish dubs of the classic cartoons.

I was so excited for this channel but now I'm mad because it's not on Dish network sadly yet
It's also not in my area yet on antenna when the website says WEVV would carry it so I understand how you feel.
TV Land Is Currently What TBS Used To Be Before They Aired Young Sheldon & Big Bang Theory And Also 2 Broke Girls Before They Removed It In September 2023
They should air Superfriends and Men in Black.
They need to air Sherlock Hound and Samurai Pizza Cats.
The only anime they have so far is Speed Racer if you consider that an anime. But maybe one day they might add more of those.
Unfortunately, I won’t be able to get MeTV toons since I have Xfinity and I live in the Seattle-Tacoma market
Hopefully one day Xfinity will carry it, either that or a local station in Seattle will pick up MeTV Toons.
Same thing with DirecTV in Kingston, NY and Xfinity down in Florida, still can’t get it. Bummer! Boomerang is where you’re stuck with.
I think there might be a station that picks up MeTV Toons in the New York City area.

because most of the CN shows are all made by CN I get it the early CN shows is made by hanna barbera like dexter's laboratory and johnny bravo but still

There is a possibility they could air Cartoon Network shows on certain times of the day especially since Warner Bros also owns this channel. Some of the older cartoons outside of the golden age of animation is already retro so I don't see why not because some cartoons from Kids WB will be on here. I understand people want a new Boomerang but just airing the same shows after a few years without different variety will get stale.

Soon they will have to reverse that decision by not allowing Warner Bros to air them because they also have a stake in the channel. If there is a high demand they will have no choice but to air the old Cartoon Network shows from the 90s and early 2000s to give in to the demand and those shows are old enough to be retro. Not everyone is going to pay for cable satellite or a streaming service to watch some of these shows that they don't air.
Wow, a network is airing on "Free-TV", and somehow people can find something to whine, cry, and p*ss and moan about. I am Stoked that this channel exists. This is the first run of it too BTW. Programming can, does, and will change. MeTV's main channel has a lot of older Programming. M*A*S*H, Dragnet, Barnaby Jones, Canon, Leave it to Beaver, etc. A lot of what they're showing are cartoons that many kids remember from the older 🌄🌄Saturday🌄Morning🌄🌄 cartoons. If your looking for King of the Hill, South Park, The Simpsons, Futurama, or Family Guy, this isn't it. 60's 70's, and some early 80's are probably going to be the main bulk of the Programming. And that's perfectly fine by many of us.
I don't hate this channel at all and I'm not asking for adult cartoons, they wouldn't fit on here and they can be on other channels. All I'm asking is they should air the other older cartoons from their library from the 90s and such that haven't aired on Antenna in a long time because I know The CW is not going to air those 90s cartoons again on weekdays or Saturdays or even new cartoons. I understand they are not airing new cartoons on MeTV Toons and that's fine. I'm fine with a retro classic cartoon channel and some of these other cartoons I'm mentioning from the 90s are also old enough to be retro.
Just thought of 2 things 1 more show that should come 2 the channel and this channel should 2 the uk now 2 next year we don’t have metv in the uk now we should but only this 1 I can c it happening by the way the 1 more show is snoopy I can c b on this channel not just the rights 2 fit the show so yeh 4 show and I want and they should add 7 more and that’s it this channel is gonna do different and not like the others obviously so yeh there we go alright then
I do agree the Charile Brown specials or Peanuts should be on MeTV Toons since MeTV has aired the Charile Brown movies before on their channel. Maybe one day it will happen since the old Peanuts cartoons are just as old as a lot of their cartoon library.
