Wow 10 year iphone user. That’s sweet that you were able to switch from apple to android. Did you keep your iPhone as your secondary line or did you go solely with the z fold 3?

Yep I love it. Many people won't get it until they have it. I've had the two now the three, and it is solid. Most of the time you will be using it folded, and it is easier to hold, so I've never dropped either of them. The inner screen of the three feels much better too. 120hz on both screens is awesome 👍
I've had the phone for 3 months now as well, and I LOVE it. Love the fold, love the cameras, love using it as a tablet/phone... don't even mind the awful case that holds the S pen! Still discovering new things it can do, too--maybe my favorite phone ever. Thanks for saying what I was thinking!

Could not go back to a normal phone now. Finally excited about tech again. Only thing that I would say is battery life not as good as my Fold 2 was. Put this down to 120hz screen on front now, maybe.

I agree with this review 100%. I can't see myself ever going back to a standard smartphone. I had very little intention of keeping my Fold 3 but Its improved my workflow tremendously. I've had it since launch and the only issue I have is the battery life which is equivalent to the Note 9 it replaced.
The Fold is amazing! I don't know how your getting a day+ battery but that's great! I do want better case support for it though. I understand it's not a typical phone but the market is there in my opinion
After owning the Fold, ZF2 and now ZF3 I highly recommend the ZF3. The ZF2 can be had at a very affordable price if you're willing to look and honestly there's not much difference between the ZF2 & ZF3. I truly believe that this is the future.
The ZF2 gold looks like a beautiful piece of tech, however I couldn't justify it in my mind without the water resistance carrying it everywhere (and I live in the UK! 🌧️)
I opened my z fold 3 about 2 weeks ago to find that the whole center of the screen where the fold occurs was just off and there were all Mico cracks under the glass. There is no damage at all to the phone so it was a defect with the phone. So I sent it back to Samsung and they want me to pay 530 bucks to have it repaired because they don't cover the replacement of the inner screen. I am very disappointed with Samsung. Don't think I will ever be purchasing another product from them and I do not recommend this phone to anyone.
Are you the same person that went to every fold 3 video and post this same thing? Get a life. Samsung will not refuse a warranty repair if it is manufacturing defects. Unless you damage the screen yourself. Looking at how you whine because you can't getting a free repair (when you damaged it yourself)
@@JMAGG why don't you tell us the actual reason why Samsung refused to repair your screen? I read many in reddit gotten free screen replacement due to cracking in the crease area which is definitely a manufacturing defects.
It's amazing how much more positive a review is when you use a product as intended. Hah. The Z Fold3 is a mobile productivity powerhouse. While I love the "Google experience" of my Pixel 6 Pro, the Fold3 is the one I grab 80% of the time. Office apps, Zoom, and other work-related tasks are so much easier. And yeah, it'll still handle "normal " phone tasks just fine.
sounds like all excuses to buy an overly priced phablet..office apps BS..these are all illusions samsung ads make you think you’re getting..use a laptop or regular sized tablet for better productivity and convenience..if youre just going to bring a keyboard with you anyway, why bring a laptop instead for a lesser price..keyboard, using a tiny screen phablet, cmon..until samsung brings down the price to 1k below, these are all BS
@@kamikazecho640 I personally don't use a keyboard with mine, just a headset. Much like the original tablet, these were always meant to be companion devices that bridge the gap between phone and computer. Yeah, the Fold isn't cheap, but with trade in and carrier deals, it was surprisingly affordable. Considering how much I use it, easy to justify.
I have to say making the switch to foldable phones was a great move. I had different kind of phones and wanted something new, from the blackberry phones, sidekicks, razor, now this has to be the ultimate.
That intro was Dope, tho. I remember many years ago and seeing those Nokia Communicators , and so wishing i had one of those as a kid... Ahhhh memories 🥲
Nice clean video. Over a day of battery use??? I wish I was getting that. For me that's one of the 2 downsides, the other being no S-pen integration. Apart from that, this is an amazing phone and I'm loving it every day.
Fantastic review! I've had my Fold 3 since launch, certainly one of the best phones I've ever owned. It still amazes me each time I open it. If it had the camera array from the S21 Ultra it would be even more perfect.
I totally agree with you got mine at 850.00 at launch it's my phone, tablet and gaming. Taking notes is much better than my best slab phone the note 20 ultra. 3 mouths later running Android 12 beta beast mode plus my S Pen never can do a regular slab again. The future is here Samsung keep on pushing the limits and others stop pushing old tech. We need more realistic reviews like yours not those can't move into future because they are scared to lose certain subscribers.
Well as long the phone works all is cool. But as soon the screen starts to crack at the crease, or as soon your fingernail nicks the display the party starts. Samsung denies any responsibility when the crease starts to splinter without any damage from outside. The price for the repair of the big display is 700.- dollars. That's insane.
@@Lion_Hamza Well I always have insurance plus of my friends still have the fold 2 with no cracks at all one works with me everyday had his since launch 2020 September. You can't pay you don't play I've never had a phone new with problems unless I did it. Love it it's the best phone /tablet for work and play . Not everyone phone is cracking that's a lie .
I agree, I love this phone. The only thing I wish is that it had a bigger battery, able to use the S-pen on BOTH open/closed and for the S-Pen to live inside the phone like the Note. Other than that it's a perfect device. Great video bruh!
S Pen would be pointless on that narrow front screen. The official case and S Pen work just fine. I have been a Note user since the Note 3, the S Pen experience on this is on another level especially because the S Pen is sized like a normal PEN and has no latency. You cannot fit this inside the body of a phone. Battery life is drastically improved if you switch to 60HZ SCREEN. Coming from a Note 10, I can live with that.
I agree with having the s-pen inside would have been convenient but I do like the size and form factor of the new s-pen compared to the very narrow one in the Note 10+ I've owned before. With the new Spigen s-pen thin cover there is a perfect solution to store the pen and still be able to use the device much better than with the Samsung cover.
@@sajidbutt2680 How would S pen support on the front display be pointless? Everybody's always talking about how thin the display is and making mistakes when typing. S pen is about precision. It would be perfect for that exact problem.
The 2nd generation was actually really close to this one, with the only things really missed being the water resistance, stylus support, and memory options. The 1st generation was an outright prototype; the thing went floppy after so many folding cycles, and the front screen was tiny. There was even rumor that the 3rd generation would be cutting down on the front screen to something more similar to the 1st generation, but it looks like that didn't happen. The 3rd generation has even got phone cases (with S-pen slots!) & screen protectors available from the shelf at physical retailers, a little step toward mainstream-ification that was missing from previous generations. The flex mode on these phones was honestly an Easter egg to discover, but I also use it in a REVERSE flex mode at times by using the front screen, turning it to landscape mode (hinge on bottom), setting it down screen-up, then unfolding it to about 45 to 60 degrees so the front screen is still on but facing upward at an angle where I can look down on it comfortably without needing any kind of stand. The width of the front-screen landscape mode makes it niche to certain applications, but I like to keep it like this for side-use of the device, especially if I expect I might be moving it around a bit. It's kind of a stand-free mode where the phone's hinge becomes its own stand by locking in place. The only outlying concern I have now is how to get this thing serviced, as it seems my only option right now is to keep it under full device-replacing insurance. That's not a problem with the phone itself, mind you, but finding an effective repair service isn't an issue with normal slate phones. My last slate phone lasted 7 years (true to its manufacturer-stated lifetime), and this one looks like it can be the next to ride out all the weathering as long as I keep it insured and the software requirements stay manageable.
I love samsung. I own a Note 20 ultra. I'm good with it. But recently I went to best buy n played with a Fold 3. It's nice n all but I don't like how narrow the front screen is. It looks nice but not for me. When u unfold it, wow its something else. It's literally a tablet with phone capability. I liked it but I honestly think with a few more improvements I'll be intrigued to get one. Let's see next yr with the fold 4. Jaime, I love ur vids bro. Well done n ur honest 👏
Great review. I carried a Note 20 Ultra and a Tab S7+ everywhere I went for work and after this phone i barely pick up my Tab S7+. I have been more than pleased with the Fold 3 and I am looking forward to the Fold 4. I hesitated on buying at launch because of so many negative reviews on the cameras but as you stated the camera has been much better than I expected and does take some great pictures.
After I bought this phone I also bought other newer flagship phones, but keep come back to the Z fold 3 all the time. Its that phone that grows on you with time and also a durable lil tank.
Nice review. Love your clear voice. A lot of reviewers I cannot understand either because they talk too fast or not very clearly especially with harder American accents. Yours is pretty much perfect.
I'm waiting for fold 4 to switch over from my iphone. I can't wat to see what improvements samsung does next year, hopefully battery + camera will get better.
Migrated from LG V60 to the fold 3, loving it... from the form factor, etc I love how this phone when fully utilized is the total package. I use routines, to suit my circumstances, when I need a computer I hook this up to my portable screen and use dex. When I need to fire off a quick email, I use a Bluetooth keyboard..
Jamie - appreciate your take on this phone. I was waiting for S pen support before switching from the Note to the Fold, but skipped the 3 because there is not in-phone storage of the pen. Hopefully, the Fold 4 will include that feature.
@@goochipoochie IDK, the Note pen works well, fits nicely into the phone, and requires no bulky case. I'd still like to see Samsung include this feature in the Fold.
@@mj_b23 I haven't looked at any cases except Samsung's and it is bulking and does not fold back flat - at least in the pictures I've seen. I might do so if the Fold 4 doesn't integrate the pen.
Same her but I just couldn't resist. I'm still debating about getting an S pen because why should a person have t o spend another hundred dollars after dropping so much cash on a phone ?
@@Schrsmnymkr that too, it wouldn't cost them much to integrate it in the phone without increasing the price of the phone. But hey Apple started this "buy everything separately" profit taking that Samsung follows as well now. If they integrate the S-pen I am sure they ll profit off all the Note users jumping to the foldable phone wagon more than these ponzy buy-separate schemes.
You are correct the Fold 3 handles just about anything you need from a portable device with no lag time and more than adequate battery life, while fitting into your pocket! I do some consulting work on the side, and never have anxiety about interacting or even using Microsoft Office Apps on the go when I'm away from the home office.
I just wish the front screen would be a little little bit wider, just a tiny amount, and it would be perfect for me, as I would use it mainly as a phone. But the convenience of having a tablet is just 👌. Hope they do that in the next iteration as Samsung Galaxy Z Fold 4 will be my next phone.
I do agree with you that the external screen feels a bit narrow however if they make it wider it would screw the internal screen ratio even more (don't want a 1to1!)
This device is a game changer. I was not going to buy it. I happened to see it at a best buy while shopping for something else and got to play around with it. I went home and ordered it. ZFOLD 3 with s-pen pro. Yes Samsung well done!!!
So I have a zfold3, I didn't know how much I except the change and or adapt to it... but I happen two like it very much more than initially thought. I traded in my note 10+ and for easy of mind I bought note 10 small variant just incase I didn't like, I barely touch my note 10 except for car ride because it is my music source. The price is high, but all the cons many mention, I have no problem with what they said and it's also better then many think. This video actually depicts many ways I feel about it... the cameras aren't the best no not at all, but they still are very good and great in other cases. UDC is poor but service it's purpose well... maybe not for selfiers, but selfiers still have options of main camera. Battery works very well for me, though many complaints. I get through most my day with 20ish 30% batt life about 7pm . I like slab phones, and I like big screens, I have big hands, but I dislike big phones. But this to me, just me here, feels like small phones again, thick a little, but this coming from someone who used 05 Nokia and blackberry push2talk phones 😆 those boys was thick. It's definitely one that has to grow on you but once does, it's hard to use other phones not 7.6 inchs. Front screen narrow... but tall and make good for social scrolling and checking stuff. I have no problem with this phone, outside of built-in s-pen ...
I loved the communicator. Still got all of them in my basement. That´s the tech I grew up with. Imagine being a 14 year old rocking a 9000 communicator in school. Man, these were the times.
Watching on my fold 3 now. While it wasn't that significant of an upgrade from the fold 2 I still have fun with this vs my regular slab iPhone . I just wish this wasn't as fragile, here's to the future of folding phones being more prominent and durable!
I still have the Note 9 and I find the Fold 3 very interesting. My only issue is the headphone jack and sd card so far which is not the worst issue to have. This might not be the exact phone I need but I think Samsung is definitely going in the right direction with the Fold 3.
Z fold 3 doesn't have a headphone jack, but it does have a accessory that you can plug into the charging port that turns into a 3.5 mm jack! I turned in My Note 9 and got 400 dollars off z fold. You'll fall in love with the massive screen! 2 speakers are also loud. Multi tasking is also great.
@@welder9163 but now I can't charge it while I'm listening to music? Why does my 4 yr old phone have features the new phone does not have? It's a bad look
Great video. I agree 100%. The only thing that I'm not sure about is the durability of the inner display. No signs of wear so far, but it seemed to be the most fragile part of their previous versions of the Fold.
Got the black 512GB unlocked for $600 last week and I'm absolutely in love! Especially for that price 😍 And I came from an S8+ I bought new in 2017 that I paid more for lol what a difference!
Mine spent 2 days at the bottom of a lake. When it was found, I let it dry for 2 hours, plugged it in and it started right backup like nothing ever happened. No damage and not one problem. Screens are still perfect.
I love your review on the video! But one thing I do disagree with is i do think the outer screen should be wider and larger. It's hard to type on and use the keyboard but the inner screen is awesome
I do too have my Tab S 7 I don't carry on trips no more just watch movies on the plane with my Z fold 3. Plus dual Bluetooth audio my and wife listening to 2 wireless headphones at the same time.
Fully fully agree with your thoughts ! Amazing product. This thing is a true beast. Nothing else like it. Looking forward already to the 4th version. Love this video as well. Love your reviews and channel. Much support and love ! Definitely think this is the nre note. Gonna pick up the sPen and use it with this phone.
I love this fold 3. You described it perfectly. The only thing I have an issue with is I paid for the black ice screen and the crease is getting bad. So I'm trying to get a hold of Samsung to have it fixed. Because I love this phone more then any phone ever.
The only complaint I have about this phone is battery life. I still don't know how some people manage to get a day of use out of it, I have to charge mine multiple times a day. Aside from that I love it and it suits well in my work life so it's a do it all kind of device for me.
Holy shit dude, this is the first video I've watched with you in it, when you said your name I thought the video skipped. Ace video, this will be the next phone I get!
This phone takes me back to htc days with h sliders and old pda devices. I am loving the phone and this is better innovation. I miss my note, but love where this is going. Inna few years, this will be thunder, more durable, and lighter. I love the narrow screen on the phone and use the unfolded mode most... Opening the phone is great for when I need it. It impressed me and others. Multitasking is great.
I'm about to buy it. I've been using a iPad mini and Galaxy Ultra combo, having all those functionalities in one device will be awesome. Using this in tablet mode for emulation should also be rather interesting.
Huge improvement. I'm still concerned about the durability of the screen at the crease and how will it be in 3 years which is generally how long I keep a phone.
My Lumia 930 is still keeping me happy after 7 years. I can't understand why people change phones so frequently. I also used my Nokia 7110 for 7 years.
I also use my ZF3 with my ThinkOutside keyboard! My mouse died years ago... Great review. The only review I've seen geared specifically to power users, by a power user..
And to think here I was thinking my Fold 3 couldn't possibly get any better and here comes Samsung dropping an extra 4GB of virtual RAM in their latest update.
last time I looked samsung did not give you a an s pen in a silo , a front screen that works with an S pen , a headphone jack, an SD card , a notification light, a charger in the box even a cheap set of wired buds in the box. And the fold still has that gigantic ugly crease down the middle , and it still Costs a queens ransom. Sorry , I just don't see the attraction. but to each his own.
@@mikldude9376 You can't speak on a device that you don't own if you get your hands on one for a week and your perspective is still the same, than fair play to you. But until then, anyone who makes comments about the crease being a negative point definitely has never used the device.
There are only 2 things keeping me from the fold 3. 1. I can't get why they haven't built the s pen into it like my note 20 ultra , and the camera. Just give it the good camera and throw the s pen in the slot and I'll finally be ok after like 6 years with no more Galaxy notes. Otherwise I can't give up my note
I am glad that I took the plunge to get the Z Fold 3. Still wish Samsung would put in a few other options. 1.A storage slot for a smaller S Pen if possible. I am on 3rd case for the phone. Since so many cases don't know what to do with the SPen and would like to see an added kickstand that doesn't interfer wireless charging. 2. Want to see more modes for the camera brought back such as the Sunset mode. My concerns are minor and am really enjoying the total concept of a phone and tablet in one unit. Keep up the good work Samsung. Google, and Microsoft.
Also micro SD card support as well and to have it onboard. For future versions as well like the flip. If tablets can use micro SD card support then why can't the fold 4 and beyond.
VRS Design has some decent kickstand cases and they JUST released the Terra Guard that has an S Pen slot. Just placed my order earlier today. Super durable case for when I'm at work.
@@hondomclean6759 yeah... the removal of the micro SD card slot was a pretty sginificant drawback that I had to just accept (I guess I REALLY made use of maxing out my internal/external storage on my previous Samsungs lol). I also wish they didn't take away the headphone jack and the ability to use Samsung Pay virtually anywhere.... just kind of a bummer that 3 of the things Samsung busted on Apple for, they also did the same thing.
I looked at one from AT&T, but handled a friend's Fold, just yesterday. Loved the feel of his, and your video, I believe sold me. I was waiting for the Galaxy 22 Ulta, but now not sure...damn:-) we'll see. Thanks for your insight!
Only someone who owns the phone will believe this is not a paid infomercial. It's that good. Reviewers who try to present the negatives of the phone always come across as nitpickers. Even the ridiculously high price can be justified when you realize that it is at least two devices in one and the tablet mode is cellular service enabled which usually bring a premium price. Deals can be found especially this time of year and Samsung usually has generous trade-in deals and incentives to lighten the cost.

The ZF2 gold looks like a beautiful piece of tech, however I couldn't justify it in my mind without the water resistance carrying it everywhere (and I live in the UK! 🌧️)
@blaster915 The Z Fold 3 is for you then👍🏻.
The fold 3 is now on sale for post paid carrier users. $800 off
I opened my z fold 3 about 2 weeks ago to find that the whole center of the screen where the fold occurs was just off and there were all Mico cracks under the glass.
@@mib-cb3mu first video I commented on, I probably should comment on more so people can know
@@JMAGG why don't you tell us the actual reason why Samsung refused to repair your screen?
@@kamikazecho640 not everyone has the same set of priorities or expectations as you.
Exactly
850? How'd you get it for 850?
@@bad65dad Wow thats an amazing deal im pretty happy to hear that for you
FINALLY. I've been waiting months for this!!!
Fantastic review. This pretty much encompasses my feelings for the device.
Once again another great review!!! The Fold series is amazing and I have a feeling it's gonna be around for a long time !!!!
I bought mine last week and it is incredible what this phone can offer.
I agree, I love this phone. The only thing I wish is that it had a bigger battery, able to use the S-pen on BOTH open/closed and for the S-Pen to live inside the phone like the Note. Other than that it's a perfect device. Great video bruh!
Preach.

Best and first phone I've purchased with my money being a student
Loving it 😍
Great work Jaime. Another stellar piece.
Was gonna wait for the Z Fold 4. But I think I’ll pull the trigger in the 3
Worst case scenario you have a device with better trade in value should you want to upgrade to the fold 4.
Based on early rumors, Fold4 will have very little changes like build quality improvements, weight reduction, but still no built-in S Pen.
Getting mine Tuesday 😁😁😁😁 super excited!
Hey I'm a 20 ultra and tab S7 combo user too. Definitely my next phone going to be the fold 4!
After I bought this phone I also bought other newer flagship phones, but keep come back to the Z fold 3 all the time. Its that phone that grows on you with time and also a durable lil tank.
Man! I freakin luv this phone! Crazy part is after months of having it people still are fascinated by it when I pull it out! "Pause" 😳😂👏🏾👏🏾
Nice review. Love your clear voice. A lot of reviewers I cannot understand either because they talk too fast or not very clearly especially with harder American accents. Yours is pretty much perfect.
If users could get past the green and blue bubble stigma, this would outsell any phone hands down.
Woah, I felt like I was watching a movie, your narration is very authentic & indulging.
I love this phone,,, I'm never going back. It's the best phone out period hands down.
Same here. I also have Note 20 ultra and S21 ultra but after using this phone can't go back
I'm waiting for fold 4 to switch over from my iphone. I can't wat to see what improvements samsung does next year, hopefully battery + camera will get better.
Camera will definitely get better. Probably s22+ level
Do we know when release date is yet?
@@kenlemottee7720 August or September I guess.
I had the fold 2 now I have the 3 amazing device! Nothing else is even close to this device!!!
Jamie - appreciate your take on this phone. I was waiting for S pen support before switching from the Note to the Fold, but skipped the 3 because there is not in-phone storage of the pen. Hopefully, the Fold 4 will include that feature.
Out of phone pen is infinitely better than inbody. Inbody is too small, pens like Apple pencil are too large. Tab Spen is the perfect size
@@goochipoochie IDK, the Note pen works well, fits nicely into the phone, and requires no bulky case. I'd still like to see Samsung include this feature in the Fold.
@@goochipoochie but you can disable the inbody spen in the settings for spen and use a larger external spen. the note line let you do that
Why not get a case that supports spen storage?
@@mj_b23 I haven't looked at any cases except Samsung's and it is bulking and does not fold back flat - at least in the pictures I've seen. I might do so if the Fold 4 doesn't integrate the pen.
As a Note fan, I will be waiting for Fold 4 to upgrade. Hoping and wishing an integrated S-pen next year!
It would be nice for that feature. I think that would force them to widen this unusual form factor 🤔!

You are correct the Fold 3 handles just about anything you need from a portable device with no lag time and more than adequate battery life, while fitting into your pocket!
I do some consulting work on the side, and never have anxiety about interacting or even using Microsoft Office Apps on the go when I'm away from the home office.
This is masterpiece!
Great job Samsung.
👏 👏 👏
I just wish the front screen would be a little little bit wider, just a tiny amount, and it would be perfect for me, as I would use it mainly as a phone. But the convenience of having a tablet is just 👌. Hope they do that in the next iteration as Samsung Galaxy Z Fold 4 will be my next phone.
I do agree with you that the external screen feels a bit narrow however if they make it wider it would screw the internal screen ratio even more (don't want a 1to1!)
Totally agree
Good news, it is rumored that the Fold 4 will have a shorter and wider outer screen!
Good to see that Samsung is getting better with the foldables. A great video, brother, stay safe and keep up the good work .
I have the z fold 3 and the pixel 6 pro. But leaving my z fold 3 at home is a crime haha. Love that phone.
Watching on my fold 3 now. While it wasn't that significant of an upgrade from the fold 2 I still have fun with this vs my regular slab iPhone . I just wish this wasn't as fragile, here's to the future of folding phones being more prominent and durable!
I feel like this was shot with the fold in mind. The crop to fill is PERFECT on my fold 3!
I've loved all 3 gens of my Folds!

Yes I agree this should be the Galazy Note from now on. By the way that typewriter looked way cool.
Great video. I agree 100%. The only thing that I'm not sure about is the durability of the inner display. No signs of wear so far, but it seemed to be the most fragile part of their previous versions of the Fold.
You made me want it. Nice review 👍
Got the black 512GB unlocked for $600 last week and I'm absolutely in love! Especially for that price 😍
And I came from an S8+ I bought new in 2017 that I paid more for lol what a difference!
The fold 3 is NEXT GEN I am so glad I decided to upgrade.
Mine spent 2 days at the bottom of a lake. When it was found, I let it dry for 2 hours, plugged it in and it started right backup like nothing ever happened. No damage and not one problem. Screens are still perfect.
Agreed my Z Fold 3 is one of the best tech products I've owned. I don't think I could ever go back to the candy bar form factor
Your reviews are super slick n informative
I love your review on the video! But one thing I do disagree with is i do think the outer screen should be wider and larger. It's hard to type on and use the keyboard but the inner screen is awesome
Totally agree, only problem I have; is my Tab S7 is collecting dust since I got the Zfold 3.
I do too have my Tab S 7 I don't carry on trips no more just watch movies on the plane with my Z fold 3. Plus dual Bluetooth audio my and wife listening to 2 wireless headphones at the same time.

The only thing that kept me from buying the galaxy z fold 3 is the spen which has no housing. Maybe the next z fold 4 🙂
Nice office! I love my phone! Best phone I ever had
I just purchased the Spigen S pen slot thin case off of Amazon it's a little pricey at 44.00 but worth it for the Zfold 3 and Fold edition S pen
I found 2 or 3 cases on Amazon that had a slot for the s pen. I'm rocking with it..

I love this phone too. And working on getting one now.
I have used all the version of z fold but this is the champ
