OHHHH MY GOD THANK YOU FOR THIS VIDEO!!!! I been looking for this game for like 19 years I totally forgot the name of this game when I rented this game back in 2000 it was KILLING me trying to remember this game ALL these years till now!!! I rented this game at a family video store OMG the nostalgia is REAL thank you for the AWESOME gameplay!!!! ;) YOU ROCK!!!!!
Knowing this was made by the same team that created Hook, the similarities are quite remarkable. Even the way the main character jumps is reminiscent of Pan.
loved the game as a kid. Still remember how epic the final boss felt (for me ;)). 1 hp left, a final jump kick that did the trick. You sure made the boss look way easier than it was for me back then :) Music is great, and i love the sound bosses make when you hit them
In the 90s, I almost never finished this game because of Ship to Nowhere at 20:18. Figured it out when I revisited the game 1-2 years later. I used to think that using a power at the right time would probably let you dodge the wave.
What an awesome looking game, one of the best looking 16bit titles! I loved the mode7 effects, it was a great thing back then... I have to try it, but it looks hard to master!
Take back what I said outloud but didnt write in the comment section. This game was pretty darned cool. (Thought it was going to be cheesy) I've never seen or played it before today and i grew up playing these types of games with my bros. 10:40 looks hella fun and some of the music was interesting too. 🎮😏😎
Court, peut-être, mais exceptionnel (dans le sens mélioratif) ! Par contre, je connait pas les prix pratiqués, mais ils doivent être exceptionnels eux-aussi.
+Fourz Ell No, but Teruo Nagato is the character designer of The Legend of Dragoon who designed the characters in Skyblazer. The father of Gran Turismo, Kazunori Yamauchi, directed this game. This is literally the Sony staff who prepared for Playstation. Kazunori probably took inspiration from Skyblazer's bonus stage and incorporated that in Omega Boost. Allan Becker was the producer who is now the studio director of Japan Studio. His job is to make Japan Studio a relevant studio worldwide again to bring out many AAA releases from internal dev teams.
I like this game. But this jumping with the moving blocks at the this tower is annoying. You do a double jump at one time, but I cannot seem to execute it and master that part. Any tips are appreciated :)
AHEM! SmartBall was awesome. And if you count Imagesoft from its pre-Sony days, Solstice on NES is one of the greatest games on the system. (Its sequel, Equinox, ain't bad either, though Solstice is better.)

What a great game!!! Just finished it (in about an hour!) it looks, sounds and plays awesome!
Man I lived through this era, gamed through it and never heard of this title. So many hidden gems out there
This is one of my favorites not sure I'd call it hidden.

Because it is reclyded
"But how will I defeat the dragon?" "I dunno, just punch it like everything else?"

This game's music was simply sublime.
OMG!!! I had been trying to rermember the name of this game for forever!!! I remember playing it as a kid, and loving it!!
Love the music to the"Lair of Kharyon" stage.
I've never even heard of this game. Ever. Once. I might have to give it a try sometime.

Skyblazer is ABSOLUTELY AWESOME and STUNNINGLY AMAZING game 💖💖💖💖💖💖

I like how the invincibility special has the same energy sound like the one from DBZ. It even makes him yellow!
I love the this game’s music!
Wow I remember playing this game as a kid. Thanks for the memories
ahhh the memories. This game was so difficult. i was 8 years old at the time i suppose.
Loved this game when I was a kid,sky was one the main inspration on my chracter Rune schedier,
Coming here after James and Mike played this to see how to defeat that boss and I'm pleasantly surprised at how easy it actually was lol
yep. me to.
same here
I was kinda figuring it out as they fought him. I was screaming "GET IN THE CORNER!!!" and I'm happy i was right.
@@elpato54 I was thinking that Mike, the better of the two gamers, would've figured it out.
This game is and will be always my favourite game.
Liar or not. There is a better game than this :-P
Guess you didn't play Super Metroid back then
Great memories with this game
What a cool looking game. I'm surprised that I'm just finding out about it now via RUclips recommendation.
great game great soundtrack
Music composed by none other than Pulstar and Mega Man 3 composer Harumi Fujita.
I really like this game. It's well overdue an HD update; I think it would work brilliantly in a Bionic Commando Rearmed style.
Músic is not too bad. I didn't find any songs that stood out. Skyblazer is unique because it uses the sitar to give it a far east sound.
I remember seeing this on Series 3 of GamesMaster.
Great game! I loved it as a kid and wow, you're awesome at it.
Sky could afford to be arrogant. With the way this game gave out extra lives, he was practically immortal.

I affectionately refer to this period of gaming as "Talent holding it's ground."
great game and great music , when nintendo and sony worked together jeje
GREAT play.
I wonder if anybody is going to remake this game in Dreams?
I never played this game, but I kind of want to now.

has anyone noticed how the elements in this game has been carried over into God Of War

Sitar
@@GordoFreakmanFail-Life thanks
Awesome game! I love it! ;)

TheLostMotel it's not a double jump it's a long jump to skip a block. The boss at the end is a bit h make sure ur red meter is full n Sonic boom him.
I haven't been able to get past that part either
39:42, number of lives went from 55 to 50 when you collected 100 gems.... what happened?
AHEM! SmartBall was awesome. And if you count Imagesoft from its pre-Sony days, Solstice on NES is one of the greatest games on the system. (Its sequel, Equinox, ain't bad either, though Solstice is better.)
What??? No Sorceress booty at the end???
30:46: whoah, that was too close, you were almost a blaster-sandwich

totally random by him to take off just like that without even getting some sexings from the sorceress first.
good sound
I actually rented this game in 1996.
He sounds like Captain Falcon from Melee when he jumps.
