2023. Went to the Le Labo store ...wearing the Dossier Woody Sandalwood scent. The girl checked in with me about my supply of Santal 33. Smiled and went ahead and purchased the real deal. Now we can do a proper comparison.
I found the Dossier dupe to be a match to the labo 33; with my skin chemistry both smelled like pickles 🥴 and as a New Yorker, pickles seem to be the unofficial smell of NYC. Everyone's nose is different along with skin chemistry. Dossiers version of Rose 31 is amazing along with their version of Gaiac which is now my favorite scent. I used to only wear Jo Malone but realized they don't last long at all on me. I love a good musk...my preferred choice.

Thank you so much! That was the smell that I smelled in this! Almost like salty pee when I first smelled it! It definitely did not work for my skin chemistry. Jo Malone fragrances are amazing, it's so unfortunate they don't smell for long. Typically 3-5hours tops on me.
Le Labo is so darn expensive. I have a stash of samples and that's as far as it's going to get with that brand. I'm going to try dossier. I kept seeing ad's for it but never knew exactly what it was about.
I’m so glad you made this video. I love Le Labo Santal 33 but it is too pricey (for me) to use regularly. Was hoping Dossier was a good alternative. Bummer!
Yeah, I usually enjoy the Dossier fragrances, but this one just was not working at all for me, even after dry down.

I'm curious as to what your opinion is on the animalic and musk aspects of oud 27.
There are reviews on RUclips for it, but I don't know how else to explain it other than I would 100% rather listen to you talk about fragrances than anybody else which is crazy because I just discovered the world of fragrances and I just discovered you. But omg girl. Your personality and energy is so healthy and it radiates! One thing's for certain and two things for sure I'm going to start watching all of your videos and I would definitely love your review of oud 27.

Thank you for your honesty. I don’t like the dossier version either. It’s so strong and I feel like that unpleasant note is very cigarettey. I do like the violet but it’s overpowered by whatever it is in there that I can’t get with!!
Seriously! There is a note in there that is not quite for me! 😂 not I just got six more to share and I am excited to test them out! I love their products, just not this one. 🤷🏾♀️

I just bought woody sandalwood and tried it immediately. First, it stayed tacky on my arm for 10 mins!
Then, by the time it dried down it literally smelled like…NOTHING. That stunned me because all the other Dossier fragrances I’ve tried have been perfection.
Not this one.
I dont know but maybe its just me but there is this “eucalyptus” added scent on dossier? 😢

the opening notes of dossier I didn't like. too strong. the dry down similar to santal 33 but there's still a tiny bit of that lingering note that i didn't like but can't pinpoint.

Yep, for this one, definitely stick with the real thing. Dossier has some other great versions that I love, but this one just missed the mark for me.
