Hi Becky, you were so happy to see the sunshine and feel the warmth from it…..your channel brings me and all your subscribers that same feeling of joy and happiness. Please keep doing what you’re doing.
Solo backpacking is an introverts dream, you have control over how much you interact with other people and it gives us plenty of time to think and reflect on our place in the world.
What an incredible young lady :) you remind me of how I felt as a teenager growing up in South London wishing I was a free man amongst mountains and nature. I lived in a world of depression and longing until I was 16 when I was finally old enough to take on my first trip to that nirvana I had only seen in books and on TV - the Lake District! A trip that changed my life and words I could only sum up by a quote by A Wainwright '“The fleeting hour of life of those who love the hills is quickly spent, but the hills are eternal. Always there will be the lonely ridge, the dancing beck, the silent forest; always there will be the exhilaration of the summits. These are for the seeking, and those who seek and find while there is still time will be blessed both in mind and body.”
Depression never leaves you but you find coping mechanisms that help to make it easier. If ever I felt depressed I would head for the mountains and walk for days on end and I would be fine after. I take it all in my stride nowadays and feel lucky I can cope with depression in a healthy way and not take any pills :)
Absolutely fantastic. Great stuff and a big pat on the back . It’s great to see young people out doing some wild camping in a fantastic place like Scotland. Cheers 👍⛺️🏴
Gosh! I’m old enough to be your granny and I find you such an inspiration. I started trekking in my 40s, 35 years ago, although I’d been a fell walkers for many years before. Friends then, thought I’d taken leave if my senses, rather like the man in the camper you met. But I experienced everything you describe, not least the feeling of oneness with the land you walk through. Although I still camp, travelling by car these days, I hope to return to backpacking next year. Keep doing what you love Becky - history is peppered with stories of women who’ve taken off and achieved things others would have thought impossible. I loved what you said about having a day off and sitting on your stone.
This is one of my favorite videos of yours. It reminds me of me when I discovered what you have on this trip. Being able to get in touch with yourself and being comfortable with yourself in the wilds. Keep it up.
Scotland is the most wonderful and beautiful place on earth. I was stationed at RAF Edzell when I was in the US Navy. Lived there for a total,of seven years at 3 different times.
Thanks for, yet another delightful video. You're the daughter that every outdoors man wishes he had. Be happy and continue the adventure. Your infectious glee brings smiles to all of us ..Cheers.
I must admit I really love watching content like TOGR, Sweewoods, TA Outdoors and now I am adding your channel to the top of my list. I am truly impressed. Please keep up the great work.
Your videos are so inspiring! And you are such a beautiful and special person. I can absolutely understand why you go on these trips alone and I admire you for the way you do it. Thank you! Watching your videos makes it a lot easier for me (and i bet a lot of other people) to get through these special times when you are not allowed to travel at all. Once again. Thank you! I love it!
I am at a loss for words, "AWESOME" comes to mind but just seems to fall short. You are terrific and love to hear your reflections. Be safe and keep the adventures coming, there are a lot of people pulling for you.
Wow! What an amazing young lady. I do mountain leadership so I completely understand your love and appreciation of the outdoors and I encourage everyone I encounter to experience getting into the mountains and away from this mad world that we are creating for ourselves. It's a crazy treadmill that seems impossible to step off. If my girls grow up to be like you then I will be a very proud dad.
Great video, the scenery is fantastic. As a Canadian soldier posted to Germany I often suffer from the incessant people pressure, nearing the end of our tour I could hardly wait to get home to our vast spaces. We joke that we can watch our dog run away for three days but it is true. Constant bombardment by everything isn't healthy. Going to the bush tomorrow. Snow is down now so it will be great. looking forward to your next episode!!!
Becky you are an amazing spirit! I can see you adopting a dog in the feature and having this lovely companion to help keep you protected and comforted constantly. Wish you nothing but the best! Love Matt ❤️
Becky the scenery seems to get better. Love the way you make your videos, they're so real. Keep going and keep showing....❤..Texas. You are so awesome. I love you and what you do ❤
Just want to say awsome videos,,i started watching ur dads channel a couple of days ago,,iv from north of scotland and been wild camping for yrs,,,,just want to say a huge respect to u for ur love of the good old out doors and courage to follow ur dreams on solo camping,,,i know by ur dads channel ur up the woods isolating,,,i wish i could get my wife to do the same, but she likes her modern comforts to much,,,im in isolation my self as im getting over the corvid virus,,but ive 7 days left and im taking my 2 young sons into the woods again,,i love wild camping,,,,total respect to u,,i hope ur channel inspire many more woman to follow ur passion,,👌👌
Well done. You have done what I have dreamt of doing for years. Admittedly, I probably couldn't handle the weather so much without more protection. You are very resilient and see the positive in everything with a smile. Again well done. Nice videos
Yes! time flies when your having so much fun. Exploring new places. Challenging yourself in the great outdoors. Scotland is a very beautiful place. Super great video and thank you for sharing and taking us along. Have a super wonderful day.
You should be proud of yourself, it’s not a easy task to head out by yourself self contained. Thanks for letting the world join you. Wise beyond your years.
Introspective, insightful, inviting. A wonderful presentation of a gorgeous country by a rapidly maturing young woman. Tastefully edited. Super job, Beck.
I am thoroughly enthralled to watch you on your Scottish adventure. Have watched all of your videos since you started your channel. I must say it how much i respect your attitude to life and your acquisition of bushcraft and survival skills . You are gaining knowledge skills and maturity. Most people are blind to the true values and happiness to be found in natural simplicity. Each day of your journey is a stepping stone to happiness. May your journey through life be long satisfying and a fulfilment of all your dreams.
Wow, what a trip! Epic scenery! Very inspiring commentary for all of us solo nomads out there! I get asked all the time why alone, well it's not that I don't have friends, but finding those that you can truly abuse through days or weeks in the backcountry sleeping where ever you roam with no exact plan, hmmm. Even my wife says, see ya next week!
One of the best that you ve done. I really love the music and narration!!! The scene of sitting on the rock was perfect. Loved how relax n playful you are becoming on camera as well. In a few yrs Bec i hope get over here to thru hike maybe we be on the same trail or thru hike together. I would like to see more women getting outdoors, hiking etc.
Enjoying your adventure through Scotland and like you said not many people seem to like the outdoors seem to be afraid of not been near technology for even an hour or two never mind two weeks. Its a real shame that people who live in towns and cities don't go into the outdoors and realise they are missing so much from the natural world around us as your videos clearly show us you are a great inspiration for people to out and about and enjoy the world as it's meant to be. Thanks for sharing and I'm going to watch the other parts soon as always take care and see you in the next.
I totally agree with you on that Becky, so very nice and beautiful video, kinna emotional the spot where you're sitting near the little water stream with the music playing, but I love it, thanks!!!~Thanks so very much for the ❤️s, 👍🏼💕👏🤙🏼‼️
I would say to take Buster as your hiking buddy, but I saw him hanging with your dad yesterday. It looked lovely in Scotland. Glad to know you are safe and having a grand time of it, Becks. 👍
Also in this particular video how did you charge your devices, I have a hand held gps and mobile but even a small power bank will only support the phone for a couple of days. Thanks Adey.
Great trip, I've never been to Scotland, hoping to get up there a some point this year. I agree about feeling most alive out there in the wild on your own, just feels at peace and free.
Lots want this Becky, but never take the plunge and go for it. You are young yet, but as you mature and your experience increases, you will seriously get to enjoy it all even more. Amassing some lovely memories that will help you through life’s tougher times. Oh and that Bovvy you mention, is a Bothy. If you find one, always remember to leave something useful for the next occupier. Prepared kindling and fire making gear is always welcome, as the next persons may arrive there cold, wet and miserable at night? Your thoughtfulness would help them get a fire going quickly. Thanks for a really enjoyable vid, again.
really into your channel these days ...I'm even planning the first camping weekend with the wife & kids! Thanks for the inspiration Becky! All the best to you in the future!
Thank you for posting - really enjoyable. I think you would enjoy a legendary book by a lady born 100 years before you, but who had your same love for wild places and nature. The Living Mountain - Nan Shepherd. 🙏🏼🌿
I honestly wish there was a love button! Scotland is a magical place for real and you've captured it well, Miss Becky! Sending Blessings from Pauline, S.C. USA. Y'all keep 'em str8 over there!
Thanks Becky great video . I love solo'ing the highlands , i always pack a can of flash dash a quick squirt on your backpack will have the water streaming off 😀
Really impressive video Becky. Very inspiring for myself and I’m sure lots of other people. I’m into photography and Glen Coe looks so beautiful. You have got me thinking of doing a solo trip there myself. Looks very liberating.
Hi Becky. Really enjoyed your video and all your thoughts you share. I like your accent. Its relaxing for you to live it and for us to watch and share with you. ive never been to Scotland or anywhere over there so its nice to see it through you. Thanks for sharing.

I'm sure Mother Nature gets lonely at times and no doubt appreciates having someone special like you as a friend.

I love into the wild! Read it a few times as well as listen to the audiobook!
You make my day happy. Thanks
I once read a tip from someone for having a near full body wash while on the trail in the privacy of your tent at the end of the day a mug of hot water and a flannel just wash a small part at a time drying as you go ringing the flannel out in the water and you will feel the benefit.
You are amazing - and strong. It is impressive to see such mature, clear thinking from someone your age. Canada would love to see you on some of our trails.
