When you go far into the forest, when your phone is silent, it does not catch the signal, and the sleeping bag on the foam replaces your favorite bed! When your dinner is boiling in a black pot on a hot fire, and all your clothes are soaked through with smoke. You forget about all your problems, they simply do not exist, there is you and the silence of the forest! The silence from which is muffling. Your senses sharpen as you hear the wind, the rustle of grass, and leaves. The creaking of the trunks. At this moment, you feel that you are alive, you are alive now, you listen to your breath, your heart, Nothing can replace these feelings. You are cleansed of all that weighed on you yesterday. Just you and nature. And you're on your own. You're alive now, and that's all that matters. For this we go to the forest. To experience it, over and over again. Those who have experienced it will understand. Those who have not experienced it, still have everything ahead of them. Thank you for giving me this feeling. Thank you for making such content that attracts people to put on a backpack and go to wander along the forest path, your work makes people really happy. 👍
Nothing teaches you more about being resourceful than going hiking on your own. The way you narrate is very pleasant as if we would sit at your camp, well done. Enjoy freedom and being grateful with less ;-)
Becks. you are absolutely amassing and inspiring. One of your best adventures yet. love the way you plan ahead and have a plan all worked out. Keep following your dream and thank you for bringing us along.
I remember my second trip to Scotland in 1993, went to Skye. First day walked about 23 miles, from Armadale and a big loop around the peninsula, and completely forgot to bring water! Fortunately it was september and there were buckets of brambles, and one lady in a house gave me a big glass of water at the halfway point. Great trip. Im sure you will enjoy this and future trips.
The girl outdoors becomes the bushwacker hiker and backpacker. I can envision you living like 'pamthevan' in the not so distant future with a dog to keep you company on your many adventures discovering and experiencing new places throughout the wilderness. Your a great inspiration to everyone Becky to get out there to enjoy and discover the magic and beauty of the outdoors everywhere 👍
Love you’re vlogs! More young people should show your example and seek adventure in the big outdoors. Have a great time, look after yourself and stay safe x
The excitement in your voice and on your face says it all :) One of my favorite things to see are mountains in the mist or clouds. You captured it beautifully.
Absolutely love your adventures, your so knowledgeable and inspirational. Watching your camping and hiking videos fully immerses the viewer and transports them to virtually be by your side as if they were with you. Your a true adventurer and I can’t wait for you next upload. 😁😁😁
@@GirlOutdoors I cannot believe your Bell Tent was vandalised and your kit was stolen, makes me so angry. Do you have any plans to do the Brecon Beacons or Black Mountains or north Wales in your future adventures 🤔
You, no doubt will have your dreams come true. No wonder so many songs and poems have been sung and written about Scotland. A beauty of a place. Reminds me of Cape Breton, here in Nova Scotia.
That video was beautiful thankyou, your landscape videography and choice of music were incredible. Definitely don't lose that wanderlust either! My aim is to go wondering what's over the next ridge.
Absolutely stunning video and hats off for having the courage to take on a hike all on your own. I can't wait to watch episodes 2,3,4 and lovebirds everything that you do and have watched all of your videos from ghe start Stay safe as your such a brave young lady
Just found you today.....I havent moved off my bed....only to make a cuppa and toast. On Ep 3 now.....absolutely loving them! What an adventure and you enjoyed every bit of it. Great to have running water and you found some trees. Nice repair job. Putting your hair in the back opening of the hat looks great. Outstanding Scotland adventure video. Thank you for sharing. Have a super wonderful day.
I add peanut butter and honey to my porridge and fruit mix If I don't use milk. Makes it taste better and extra calories. Hope you enjoyed your trip. I watched another episode first as it popped on while I put my phone in my pocket. So I started from episode 1 now. ATB.
Well done! I am impressed! We used to do this in the army but used solid fuel cookers dehydrated rations and the poncho cape as a tent so know all about damp clothes and soggy feet. But it was still happy days not forgotten in magnificent country whatever the weather!
Despite the pole issues, that’s a good looking tent. These are memories you will always cherish, you will never regret doing this. Thank you for sharing Scotland with us. This is a "Buster" approved video....🐕 👏👏👏👏👏👏
Such an inspiring series and you've really inspired me to get outdoors more. I just want to commend you on having the courage to just get out and go on an adventure alone. Well done on this first chapter of battling the Scottish weather Becky. Those wee camp shoes look great. I know pamthevan channel watches you. That would be awesome girls van trip...
I myself live near the Brecon Beacons Mountains in South Wales well I practically live on them and the walk you're on looks like where I live 1way or another. Awesome videos keep up the good hard work. And take a roll or half a roll of Duct tape good for repairs and 👍

Great video Becky, lovely scenery,I love the scottish highlands, btw wear a back support belt if going uphill with your gear on your back. :-) Glen Etive is beautiful.
Glenn Etive is a lovely place to hike, spent so many great times in Glenn Coe.Would definitely recommend the west highland way,did it in May this year over 5 days with a Benn Nevis finish.Only problem with the highland way is that it's a little busy but still worth doing, you'll be hooked on trails after that.
12:20 I especially like this attitude: not determined to keep a schedule? 19:16 ..and there you are, choosing the best spot for you to camp rather than pushing for miles and a pre-determined destination.

Thank you Glenn and Maureen! Ah wow snow already thats crazy. Bet it must be cosy up at the cabin but very hard work getting enough fire wood in. Take care :)
@@GirlOutdoors yes, an early arrival of winter here, but we have our wood in, and the grounds around the cabin and homestead are all cleaned up of 'stuff' that will get buried in waist deep snow, and there's no finding it again til spring ... lol out come the snow shovels as the rakes get put away. lol have a great day... looking forward to your next vid. Amazing Bec!!!!! The world is your oyster enjoy it. As you progress on this journey your life will grow you will grow and $$$ will follow. Hope you will do a follow up video of post trip Q&A. Great tip on the stove. As for food take the food that you enjoy eating that easy to cook. That keeps your moral up and dont forget to pack some m&m''s lol. I wouldnt mention where you keep $ or caners equipment at. Thieves are everywhere. Love this trip!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Another great video. We race mountain bikes down the trail you walked up at the Glencoe Ski Resort. Scotland is a beautiful place and your video is showing it......apart from the weather 😀
Brilliant, well done I admire you for that Becks. I'm hoping to get back out there myself soon too, connect with nature and be away from the noise and chaos of the cities. Keep it up, best wishes. If you need any tips on meal ideas I can help a lot as I was a chef for many years. Stay safe Andre'
A very enjoyable video. I will look forward to the next installment. I went to the Scottish Highlands myself 30 years ago, in July, and it rained all the time, so I can sympathize with you. I then got food poisoning from a badly cooked camp meal and had to abandon my trip. I would love to go back.
Hello Becky! You are doing very well sweetie. Scotland is very nice. You seem to be in good spirits on your hike. Hang in there the scenery is completely worth it. See you next vid.
You make it look so easy! Thanks for another great video, and a wee tip...a couple teaspoons of coffee mate will work wonders in your porridge sachets ✌️
Beautiful scenery. I had the Vango Nova 300 and it fell apart the first time I used it can I recommend a Snugpak Bunker 3 person tent it's a bit heavier but they are made in Yorkshire but if you want to go lite they do a hoop bivy style tent that is called the scorpion 2 they do a 3 person if you want a little extra space they are low profile and are 4 season tents I have the Bunker as it suit's my needs for my dog and I with our kit.
Looks incredible. I really need to plan a long hike to do the pennine way as I've just been doing day hikes in the dales and peak District and a challenge to survive 2 weeks out in the wild is what my soul really needs now.
Great video, I was captivated from start to finish! I tried to wild camp on the summit of Meall a' Bhùiri (the one you walked up from the ski centre) in February last year but ended up losing my flysheet during a night pitch in a gale near the summit. Something I wouldn’t recommend! Probably should have camped in Glen Etive like you did! Looks like you had an awesome adventure. What you said at 37:25 - amen to that.
Excellent Thanks for sharing your experiences done a bit of hiking and wild camped in the Glen Etive area myself in the past impressed you have gone solo I did have a friend to share the load.

agreed, she is inspiring so many to get out and enjoy some nature. They say just 20 min per day helps relieve stress and improves well being.

You make it look so easy! Thanks for another great video, and a wee tip...a couple teaspoons of coffee mate will work wonders in your porridge sachets ✌️
Awesome video becks 🥰 keep up the great work x
Thank you Ben :) x
Looks like a great time 👍👍. It looks like some beautiful place over there. Would be awesome to be able to see it one day.
Nice-looking weather
Becky, thanks for sharing this video it was as if I were there with you...great job!!! Beautiful scenery. ❤ Texas
I like how the English say sachets of portage. Thank you for your great video of your hike.
I'm enjoying watching ur videos and ur andventures
Awesome..
Thanks for the sharing beautiful views
What a calm and beautiful place for hiking and camping.. thank you for sharing a great video.. regards from North Borneo..
Excellent Thanks for sharing your experiences done a bit of hiking and wild camped in the Glen Etive area myself in the past impressed you have gone solo I did have a friend to share the load.
