    These are probably the best pair of pliers you will EVER buy as an electrician. Certainly one of the best tools I own. You will not regret buying a pair I can assure you

    I have a set of these in my testing tool bag, they really are a versatile set of pliers. Nice demo video 👍👍

    4:40, thats my ONLY gripe so far after buying these, you need to be precise when cutting off outer insulation either the grey fte or flex sheathing. Too much and it needs to be done again or too little and you need to do it again. Maybe just practice thats all, but agree, great bit of kit in my toolbelt......

    • @ChampionsOfTheTrade
      @ChampionsOfTheTrade  3 месяца назад +1

      Practice makes perfect, you'd have the same issue if you used a knife or snips, it just takes a little time getting used to the feel of the cut. 💪👌

      @@ChampionsOfTheTrade it did, i bought one, was a considered purchase as I'm only a diyer plus i already bought the dedicated wirestripper but your demo of the punch out usability had me sold! 😎 I always end up using electric screwdrivers for this and it sucks, the added reamer is perfect 👌Also helpful to see the unsprung version, I went with sprung though 🤘

    What is the lifetime of the shears part, under usage scenarios as demonstrated in the movie? I wouldn't want the shears to dull fast. Can it be resharpened?

    • @ChampionsOfTheTrade
      @ChampionsOfTheTrade  19 дней назад +1

      I'm not sure about resharpening, but I use them on a daily basis and they're still great today. 💪

    Better off with a decent pair of side cutters

    • @ChampionsOfTheTrade
      @ChampionsOfTheTrade  3 дня назад

      Maybe, it's what we get used to. Side cutters won't go through the size of cables that these will with ease.
      What do you use?

    I found knipex stripping holes dont work well on AWG, i feel like they are re marked metric holes. So if you’re in north america id stick with Klein over Knipex for strippers.

    • @ChampionsOfTheTrade
      @ChampionsOfTheTrade  8 месяцев назад

      They're a German company, so being metric would make sense/ 0.75mm - 2.5mm. It wouldn't surprise me that they simply re marked the holes in imperial.
      I've never had issues cutting / stripping flex. What issues are you finding when stripping wire with these?

    • @-Nobody-1
      @-Nobody-1 8 месяцев назад

      @@ChampionsOfTheTrade just my thoughts… i might of just ended up with s reject pair or something, everyone I’ve read has had better results. Still think Klein makes a better stripper though, just my opinion.

    I've got the red and blue ones. There only downfall is that they're not really geared up towards starting to strip T&E. With snips you just put a cut in the middle, grab the earth, and pull it. Not so easy to do with these.

    • @ChampionsOfTheTrade
      @ChampionsOfTheTrade  11 месяцев назад

      I totally agree, add a side cutter to these and they'd be perfect.

    • @three-phase562
      @three-phase562 11 месяцев назад +1

      With T&E you pinch down the edge of the outer jacket with the pliers to break it and then you can peel it off to get to the earth wire.
