Jason / Steve - Great job on the mod! Looks amazing (both of the C8's). I recently had the intake installed on my car and Steve was instrumental in talking my guy through the nuances of the install. You guys are great! Keep the excellent content coming!
Yeah, this is a serious performance mod that has results in more HP to prove it. MSS springs next and i call it finished. You most certainly can get the Stingrays handling performance up by using those springs, and that company aint no joke either.
I wonder how much the springs run? I’m still debating whether I keep this or go Z06. My allocation hasn’t come up yet so I have time to decide. I’m still not sure I want to spend all that extra money
@@FrontSeatDriver Im telling you right now that you own enough performance in that Stingray to last a complete lifetime even if you are a avid track going dude. The Z06 is tuned from the factory to be that way, and the Stingray is tuned for comfort , BUT BOTH ARE Y CHASSIS CARS THAT ARE GTLM BASED. A LARGE part of the entire C8 series is related to THOSE SPRINGS because the MAG RIDE settings are not so far off ON EVERY C8 SERIES CAR, and thats what people simply dont understand about Y chassis cars . 170,000 is a heck of a lot of money in this world, and if you got medium size physician practice money then yeah.
At around the 4:15 mark y'all mentioned the frustrations of "opening and closing" the HTC. Can the trunk lid be taken off? It's only four bolts (as far as I can tell). Just mark the alignment before removing. I suppose the soft close mechanism would present a complication but I do seem to remember another video where they opened both lids but at a compromised angle and extra padding in-between the two edges.
That’s a good question. One we didn’t even think of. I don’t know if the soft close part would present any issues or not. Unfortunately the trunk locks when the top is open so I am not sure of a way to get both to open at the same time.
Question, I installed the Eventuri in my 25 HTC last weekend (PIA....also took a hacksaw to it), and I'm not completely sure I've got the intake fully inserted in the throttle body boot. Did your boot bottom out right at the base of the MAF sensor plug on the intake? Mine is maybe a quarter inch shy of touching the MAF plug housing. I appreciate the content.
It’s actually polycarbonate. Polycarbonate (PC) refers to a group of thermoplastic polymers encompassing carbonate groups in their chemical structures.
You absolutely CAN open the trunk and the tonneau cover at the same time … this has been shown multiple times on multiple channels for a couple of years now
Will this increase the 0-60 time? I’ve seen a few videos about this and everyone just says it looks/sounds good but nobody really goes in depth about their actual performance experience with it.
I can’t tell you 100% yes but It does feel like it’s quicker. It adds 17 lb ft of torque but I am not sure what that would equate to in reducing 0-60 time.
@@FrontSeatDriver thanks for the response! After you have it for a while you should consider making a full video detailing your experience with it, it would probably get tons of views because it would be the only in depth user review on RUclips. All the videos I’ve seen about this are pretty much just the install and initial impressions. I haven’t seen anyone discussing the impacts of their launch times, gas mileage, higher end acceleration etc.. That’s just my .02 cents though!
Definitely easier once you install the first one. But it’s still time consuming to say the least. So glad to finally get it installed!
Agreed!!
still needs the yellow strip though =0) . I asked them for a cheap ABS version to cut 1K off the price but they said they cant. haha

Thanks, Tom! 🙏
Thanks for making this video! I recommend adding that this is for a HTC as most are for the coupe and it would help more people find your video!
Good idea. I will add it. Thanks!
Awesome video, super excited to see it on your beautiful convertible!!
It looks good. Got some more stuff installed today.
Great job guys.
Thank you and Happy Thanksgiving!
Steve might be helping me install mine on the Z06 🫠
I know it was way too much for me!
Looks and sounds awesome man! Great video.
Yes sir. I really love it and 19 WHP is pretty sweet too.
@@FrontSeatDriver Yeah, that’s great WHP gains.
Wow that looks nice, sounds really good nothing like a cold start.
Agreed. It has a violent cold start. Lol
BadAss Mod! Hey Jason awesome job in videoing and supervising Steve. Hey Steve, less breaks and you would of got er done in 3 hours🤪🤣👍🏻
Mahalo, Mark.
It’s my fault really. I had forgotten my whip at home. Had no way to discipline him for those extra breaks. 🤣
@@FrontSeatDriver Too funny🤣 Great job Steve!
Looks kick ass
Nice install, looks great!. I wonder if it would have been easier to just remove the deck lid.
Probably!! 🤣
That’s cool
Excellent job! I haven't even sold my C6 yet but I'm looking for all these carbon fiber parts for the C8's 😁
This intake is awesome. It adds 18whp and looks really impressive.
Great Job guys! I can’t wait to start the Install / Cussing process on my Z06 Lol
Definitely going to be some cussing! 🤣🤣🤣
Wow great installation
Thanks, JT!

Looks awsome. Can you still store the roof to the trunk with that Air Intake installed?
On the coupe, yes. I asked that too. Definitely not an issue on the convertible.
So, you eventually have to get back in there to change out the filters……..correct?
Yes. That is correct.
@@FrontSeatDriver Man, that's too bad. I wonder if the Corsa version with the trunk panel window is any easier?

Thank you, Bill. Happy Thanksgiving!!🦃🍽
Hello, does the hardtop still fit in the luggage compartment?
Yes. It does.
Can you buy it WITHOUT the red stripe?
No. It comes with that stripe. Has their name on it I believe.
@@FrontSeatDriver That's the only thing preventing me from ordering one.
Hey Jason do you know if corvette world installs them
I don’t think so. You could call and ask though. I’ve just never heard of them doing it before.
What do you think about the HTC Engine Window?
It’s a good start. A little small in my opinion, though. What about you?
any complaints on the garage flooring? also which one did you go with?
It’s Race Deck. Great product. No issues.
Can u still store the top in the back
Yes. Mine is convertible but I have a friend with the coupe and roof still fits properly.

Are you getting any dust or road grime into the trunk?
Not yet. I don’t have many miles with it yet. My friend has had his for about 6 months and his stayed pretty clean so far.
Steve Says the cover is made out of plastic and you say it’s made out of glass which might be ?
It’s actually polycarbonate. Polycarbonate (PC) refers to a group of thermoplastic polymers encompassing carbonate groups in their chemical structures.
Do they make something for C7? If so, I'm up next! 😅
lol. Not that I know of.
You absolutely CAN open the trunk and the tonneau cover at the same time … this has been shown multiple times on multiple channels for a couple of years now
I guess I’ll have to find a video of that.

I love mine too
I know, right!! Best intake on the market.
What a nightmare!
For real.
Goofbye warranty.
No. Not unless this directly causes an issue which is unlikely.
NOT A REAL CORVETTE!
True. It’s actually a lower grade Huracan with Corvette lettering but don’t tell anyone.
Zero originally wanted a mid engine corvette, they even made a prototype... this the car it always should have been.
