I found your template very helpful, once I made it, but I'm thinking it only works when you're using the same curtain pole for all the rooms. Would it be the same if there was a middle piece? I'm going to try this.

This was confusing to me. You just randomly chose to make lines with the broken slat and then added more lines after that. I don't know why.
