First off I will like to say Thank you your video has showed me to hang up up curtains...now this is for people who haven't tried or want to try...you have to clean your wall with alcohol where you gonna put the command hook because if you don't it will come tumbling down! You also need to use the picture hanging strips not the strips the hooks came with. I made both mistakes by using the strip the hooks came with and forgetting to use alcohol and my curtains have fell down about 3/4 times! Hope this helps.. I too also live in an apartment with the drywall walls.
I gotta say thank you! I have been wanting to redecorate my room for awhile. Of course the apartment I live in is quite old so I never wanted to drill on the walls. I have used command for my posters before. I feel odd with no curtains and this video definitely helped me to be informed!
Good information. I just researched this and found all the products you mentioned before finding your video…lol. I like that you linked everything you spoke about. I will save your video for future reference. Thanks.
Love that you did a follow up to answer questions, clarify and offer more options! Great thanks so much. Now if I can just get these to stick on uneven brick walls
Wonderful job of explaining and showing all of the options! I also like the idea of using the strips that hold more weight opposed to the ones that come with them. I am a new homeowner and I too have an in home office space that is open and will be getting a tension rod today to close off the area until I decide if and what type of door I want for the study room/office. Simple and affordable idea.
Great presentation! The drill is not my friend and I have messed up so many times. I like the look and it seems large enough to hide the old holes in the wall. Thank You.
In my apartment the window is right to the ceiling and recessed so I've used tension rods and extra support of the large canvas hangers (upside down so there's a little ledge). Like you, using adhesive strips that are stronger. The 5' tension rod holds 2 blackout curtain panels 52"x84" each. Well done video and thanks for sharing!
Hi Lia you're awesome! Really enjoyed this video with curtain hanging ideas. I am renting and have some issues with curtains bc my landlord doesn't want holes in the walls. Thank you for your great ideas! ( :
Regarding the mop broom holders, I think if using grommet-styled curtains they can be pulled all the way across the rod to hide the holders. There should be enough of the rod exposed on the backside to push into the holders. That's my theory, anyways. 😁 Thank you for the videos on the subject. I've moved into a new mobile home and don't want to put holes in the wall boards. There's no patching up holes and painting over that stuff.
All I’ve used is a tension rod for my curtains only having to switch it out once (for one set of windows) but I always wanted a regular rod but I didn’t know how to drill nor did I have a drill but I do now so I’m finally going to give it a try! The reason, I constantly open and close my curtains and I have to be so careful & careful not to bump up against them but it hasn’t been much of an issue because it never really falls but I want to insure that I can move freely as my room gets smaller & smaller from added items.
Thank you for this video. Thank you Command for thinking about my walls. I rent and do not us nails in my walls even my pictures are placed with Command adhesives.
Great video. Just one thing: tape should be pasted other way on the hook so that part without the gum can be used when you have to pull them out without hurting wall paint. I guess
Thank you so much for this video!! The only problem I forsee with the command hangers is the possibility that the curtain rod will slide back and forth when you open and close the curtains, as there is nothing really holding the rod in the hangers. Have you ever had a problem with that? Thanks in advance!
i have a tucked in window so i can do the tension rod but i was wondering how you got your curtain to fit over the rod so nicely? did you put the holes in yourself or what curtain did you get?
I'm not sure if I understood your question correctly, but the curtains with holes are called grommet curtains. They make them that way for shower curtains too.
Command products have never worked for me - just gave in and used again for hanging towels and it fell the next day, even in other situations they fall. The small ones are good for small things like hanging apple headsets period. Can we get the no no hang option at Home Depot or Lowes?
Make sure you clean the area and also let it dry so that the hooks have their best chance. Also, not ideal but if you apply a little heat (hairdryer) to the adhesive it should work even better but I'm not sure how that impacts taking it down.
The white valance on the blinds makes it hard to use when you want to hand curtains. I am also renting. They don’t want us using command hooks or putting anything on the walls
'We still want to have our homes be homes. We want our homes to feel homely, not like a temporary solution.' Amen sis!
It’s is soooo good to know that there are alternative simple ways to hang curtains without having to hire someone! Again, thank you!!

Looking for an update, congratulations on your new home!!! Hope you are enjoying!!😊
This was your first video I ever saw! Life saver!
Love this idea. I am looking for ways to spruce up my daughter's apartment an this is a fantastic idea. .Thank you
Yesss good idea because I am tired of drilling and most of the time it doesn’t work.
Exactly what I was looking for. Super helpful, thank you!

Tension rods are really good for the inside of the window to hold sheers. They are really good for this.

Great advise. Thank you girl!
These are great solutions! Thank you!
Thank you for these tips!!!
I just love your ideas
Does your rod slide as you open and close your curtains since it isn’t secured with screws?
Thank you for this video. Thank you Command for thinking about my walls. I rent and do not us nails in my walls even my pictures are placed with Command adhesives.
Thank you so much! Can you make a video of how to install outdoor sun shade on apartment balcony? Please
Love you dear! Thank you so much ❤🎉
Good follow-up video.
Great ideas. You are genius
Brilliant Brilliant Brilliant
Thank you!! For this video 😊❤❤❤❤ you are so pretty sister
Thank you. ❤❤❤❤
Great information! Can you give me info about tension rod and the curtain you used with it?
I love these videos, so very helpful!!!! Thank you for all of your suggestions. Can you suggest some lightweight solid color curtains?
i love ur ideas
Thank you 😊
Great video.
Just one thing: tape should be pasted other way on the hook so that part without the gum can be used when you have to pull them out without hurting wall paint. I guess
I would also offer as a suggestion to place an additional one in the center so it will give extra support
very helpful, thank you🥰
I'm so happy I saw your videos first. Give credit where is due. Not saying they are biting but yours is the oldest video I've seen.
Do you work in Media, like a broadcaster? You seem to have the speaking voice 😊
🇬🇧🙋🏾♀️Great update 👍🏾💜❤️💜
Thank you! You are awesome! I aareciate your help and ideas! 9-26-24❤
This was great!
I like the command strips but i don’t like the options of hooks because they look tacky
8:32 another thing you could mention is most houses always come with blinds installped so they kinda in the eay
These are such simple, yet elegant options. Thanks for sharing 👑 #Lia_Lavon ❣❤
how do i remove them when taking them out?

Hey, could you use the white plastic hooks strip for the traditional white metal rods: instead of the metal hooks and rods ones?
We're can you get the last rods from , first time listen to you
Do you think this method could work with the Ikea vidga curtain track to make it more renter-friendly?🤔
Thanks again 🙂
Can you put anything on it to stick better
I say there’s nothing wrong with command hooks, I mean it’s less holes in the wall so hey. No sweat!
Where did you get the actual rod that holds the curtains?
For my bedrooms Target and for the living room Amazon.
Can you add the link for them?
Where have you been all my life? I just subscribed!
Thank you but I promise the rest of me content is not like this 😩😂
Hello. Can you attach the command strips to the brackets that come with the rod? Not sure if that would work instead of buying brackets from command
Usually the ones that come with rod are way too heavy
Command products have never worked for me - just gave in and used again for hanging towels and it fell the next day, even in other situations they fall. The small ones are good for small things like hanging apple headsets period.
Can we get the no no hang option at Home Depot or Lowes?
I’m not sure

Can the command hook be use for crossing bar curtain
I’m not sure what. Crossing bar curtain is. When I googled nothing comes up.
What rod are you using ?
every product I use is linked in my description box
The white valance on the blinds makes it hard to use when you want to hand curtains. I am also renting. They don’t want us using command hooks or putting anything on the walls
Ok
@@LiaLavon I think I found a rod that just attaches to the side of the window. Thank you
My curtains are heavy .. does it hold weight
I wouldn’t use this method for heavy curtains
What if I have 1in rod? What can I do?
Probably install curtains the normal way
hammer don’t hurt em
DIDN'T WORK FOR ME. I HAVE GROMMET CURTAINS. I NEED SOMETHING NOT SO CLOSE TO THE WALL SO CURTAINS LOOK NICER.
Yea, definitely not a one size fits all system.
Command hooks never work on my walls, they always fall down even when they have nothing hanging on them. 😢
Oh no, is it possible the environment is too humid?
Those are way too clunky looking for me. Thank you so much
🐋
I’m not sure what 🐋 even means
You talk like bla bla bla with non stop ✋️
🤡
ok
Blah blah blah
Just got curtain rods and I dont feel like putting holes in my walls cause my house is very old. Thanks for this option.
